Don’t eat here! I stopped by to pick up the combo beef plate and as I went to get my soda a cockroach ran across the counter where they keep the hot sauce ugh I thought ok this is California so I asked for it to go figuring the food is cooked fresh off the grill but as I sat at the table there was another dead cockroach on the floor by the base board. I will report this place to the department of health ugh

Came and order a combo meat plate and a chicken katsu one. Food took like 30 mins and the macaroni had no flavor at all. Spam musubi was decent.

Cool place, cool staff. Killer music to vibe out to. All I eat is chicken or spam musubi and it’s dialed in each and every damn time. These people are babies posting on here. If you want a big fancy meal, make it yourself or go to some fancy Asian restaurant. This is a cool spot for a lunch break.

A very poor example of «Hawaiian food». Rice was a solid clump of goo, chicken was greasy and big pieces of skin. Took 30 minutes on a very slow evening. Don’t waste you time at this fake Hawaiian food.

Had the worst experience here yesterday. I asked the girl taking our order if the katsu curry bowl was any different than regular chicken katsu. She said no– it’s chicken katsu, rice, and veggies. So my boyfriend ordered it. He doesn’t eat meat other than chicken. We waited a really long time for a gross bowl of food. It did have some chicken katsu, and rice, but also some kind of curry/gravy looking sauce and no veggies. There were also huge chunks of what looked like pork? My bf didn’t realize it until he bit into it. I took it up to the front and the girl just happened to be on break. The girl who cooked it said the bowls always look like that, there’s just pieces of pork in the sauce and that’s what it should look like. It wasn’t a small piece, they were huge chunks. It was disgusting. We didn’t end up eating any of it. I posted a pic of the bowl. The staff just acted like they couldn’t care less. They also had multiple people tell them they were out of ice before they finally put more ice in the machine. I felt like a bunch of(actually– 3) snotty 20-something year old kids should probably not be the only ones running the store at dinner time on a Saturday night. The service was so slow, customers were all irritated at how long the food was taking. Won’t be back here.

Let me first say that fast food Hawaii sKtyle is a lot different then a fine restaurant for starts ok. So that being said, I’ll tell you about my experience & quality of food. This location was a recommendation from a Unilocal review so I decided to give it a try. I had order the Hawii mixed fried & grilled chicken. Wow!!! was I so disappointed from the quality of freshness to the size of there portions. I know I can be a hard critic but freshnesses is key at any restaurant or fast food and I would never settle for less. So that being said the taste was not quite fitting for Hawaii style food but due to a big error on quality & taste it failed, so for starts 1. The chicken was tough with a bad after taste 2. Very dry with a dipping sauce that was watered down which to me makes the food pop & is the best part to put over your meat or rice if your like. Also when I tasted the white rice it was overcooked & just taste plain Blah… I can’t wrap my mind to why I really had high hopes in this location maybe I was really hungry or I missed having some great Hawaiian food that I dearly miss & I was so disappointmented, but I do give them credit for presentation of the food which gave me hope that it would be wonderful but that’s was another blow unfortunately. I’m just saying that, this was a walk in and pick up order so I didn’t experience the Dine in experience and I think that maybe I’ll revisit L.L. But not anytime soon when I can find a location with great food that taste fabulous I’m there with bells on Lol.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve tried other Hawaiian BBQ in the Fresno/Clovis area but this is the best by far! I ALWAYS get the short rib plate. It is a generous amount of food and will fill you up for sure. My husband has tried the healthy chicken(served with brown rice), regular chicken and the beef plates and has liked them all. The meals come with white rice and amazing Mac salad. I’ve never ate inside the restaurant, I always take it to go. I would suggest that management get on the staff a bit more to make sure dining area is cleaned more often but overall the food is amazing and worth the trip here every time.

Went here today for a quick lunch. Decided to stay even though the dining area looked like it needed to be cleaned up. Got my food and regretted staying, vegetables were past their prime, meaning I got yellow colored broccoli and I kept looking for my chicken, all they have me was chicken skin with a few pieces of edible meat. Bad choice I came because Oahu BBQ is too far from my work, but next time I will just not eat here. Also as I waited for the food I looked over at the soda machine which was disgusting! I don’t think they have ever cleaned that machine, caked on soda syrup and to top it off ice machine was broken! Restroom was«neat» but not clean the floors were very dirty. Bad food and dirty location will not be back!

Couple years back I would rate this at 4 stars easy, but now that the cooks are a bunch of kids who don’t seem to know their way around the kitchen cooking my meal. I honestly have tried their bbq mix a few times before writing this review, the younglings don’t know how to cook properly, overcooked short ribs, beef, chicken, you name it. It’s almost always overcooked to the point of being burnt. If you see kids in the back stay away. Even if you ask them not to overcook it, honestly they don’t seem to care(the kids).

We came here on New Year’s Eve since there was like no where left to go and the food was decent. I can’t remember the name of the dish but it had shrimp and some type of meat(pork or beef). The seasoning wasn’t anything too spectacular, but it was a decent price. The macaroni salad(?) was pretty good as well. The only thing I really disliked was the cashier. She seemed like she hated being there and there wasn’t a thank you or have a nice day.

The place is a nice break from all of the common fast food and provides an interesting selection of items most probably are not familiar with. Their portion sizes are huge and there’s lots of different things to try with each visit. This time around I had 5 spam musubi for $ 8 and the Seafood combo(not to be confused with seafood mix. They need to name their meals more distinctly). Not the greatest food considering the wait time but it does its job very well. My several flaws are how unclean the dining area feels. The floors and surfaces are sticky hinting that it is not cleaned regularly. The staff tend to make contact with customers as minimally as possible and are rarely seen outside of the back of the kitchen area. Although they are friendly, they don’t go out of their way to make sure things in the dining area are running smoothly. Despite this, the place is a nice getaway to eat at every now and again.

We come here a lot but I’ve never made a review so I thought why not do it today. Whenever we go, I always always get the chicken katsu & my boyfriend always tries different things but today I decided to try the chicken katsu curry & he got the seafood and BBQ combo w/short ribs. I would give the curry 4⁄5& he gives the seafood &BBQ combo a 4⁄5. Like I said earlier, my boyfriend does like to get different things every time we come & he always enjoys what he gets so I feel like this is one of those places where you’ll like whatever you get. The service is always great, we’ve never had a problem with the workers & it’s never a long wait. I also enjoy the décor & music. Overview: great food, great service, good prices, cute décor & music.

A local Hawaiian boy comes to this restaurant and finds out there’s no gravy for my hamburger steak wth?! No can dis kine! They’re suppose to run this place like it’s meant to be representing hawaii not in a good way. Let’s see how the food tastes. The employees were nice but it was kind of dirty in the dining room. No ice in the ice machines. We were the only ones in this establishment. Luckily we ordered mini plates. Imagine we ordered the regular sizes. We’d be waiting forever.

I like coming here. The staff is friendly and is helpful by recommending plates to try. The food is great. Always has good flavor. Sometimes gets busy during lunch time. I like bbq chicken plate. Also try the chicken katsu plate.

Come for the Hawaiian food and try to forget the ambience, this is my motto when I dine at any Hawaiian places in Fresno, they all seem to be sloppy, dirty and not presentable in anyway. L&L I think is best of the 3 Hawaiian places in Fresno for its better tasting food. The taste of food here is above average, and the best part, this place has $ 1 musubi every Mondays. The service is also very friendly and casual. Despite them making a huge mistake of missing my order which I paid for and rushing to close the grill way ahead of their closing time at 8.30PM, I think this place is a decent place to roughly try the taste of Hawaii. The food my sister tried was the loco moco $ 8.99 and musubi $ 1. I don’t think this place is a great representation for Hawaiian cuisine, because if it is, Hawaiian food is tragically high in carbs and fat and doesn’t taste that amazing. I think this place is like a taqueria for the Mexicans, a sample of their comfort foods. The loco moco was an ensemble of rice topped with a meat patties topped with fried egg and then smothered with gravy, and on the side just incase the carbs was not enough they added macaroni salad. The patty meat itself was overcooked but had a good flavor and was kinda addictive, the gravy itself was too peppery, but the combination of it all made it a good fatty comfort food, and it was very generously portioned too. The Musubi was good, perfectly cooked rice toped with pan fried spam wrapped around with seaweed, it was really a delicious and unique tasting meal and apparently a Hawaiian favorite. It’s kinda hard to get mususbi in Fresno but here. The interior was kinda extreme yellow tacky and as I said early not very clean, the tables were not wiped down and had stains all over it, and trash was seen on the floor, the self serve table where the drinks are located had teriyaki sauce splattered on it. The workers were nice and friendly, but I think seemed too eager to go home at 9 and stop serving customer at 8.30pm by explaining that they were shutting their grill off at that time. I have never heard of such a thing in the food business, if a business promise to open its doors till 9, it means it will serve any food until 9, but i guess they didn’t really want customers after 8.30PM, I saw at least 3 customers was rejected service because they wanted to close the grill early. The biggest flaw was when I ordered my food and they forgot it entirely because they were rushing to close at 9. My sister got her food fine because we ordered separately, but its important to note I ordered my food way before they closed their grill at 8.30PM and just right after my sister did, and the order went through and I paid for it. So I sat and waited for my food thinking they were taking time to make it, 30 minutes passed and I didn’t get my food, so I went to the counter to ask if my food was on its way, the counter girl was like there was no food being prepared, and I said well I ordered 30 minutes ago how can you forget, I was really dissapointed and I requested a full refund of what I paid since I received nothing from my order, I mean i didn’t think they could do anything anymore. I understand mistakes are made, but mistakes wouldn’t have been made if they weren’t rushing to close their store. I don’t know if I would be back, they did apologize but that was all, I would have offered an incentive to get a customer back into the store with a gift card or coupon, but none of those gestures were initiated.

The service was nice. They were forgetful but friendly. Lol The food was not as good as I was hoping it would be with all the hype. The Mac salad was not as good Maui Hawaiian BBQ at all! The flavor difference is SOHUGE. The spam masubi here is better than Maui though. The bbq mix plate was a little dry as well. Wouldn’t come back again other than for spam masubi.

Someone on my friends list kept checking into Ramen places for what seems like a straight week, and mentioned something about a Ramen Burger. I never even heard of this thing, but I decided to Google it, and it kinda looked nasty but was still something I thought would be interesting to try since it seems pretty popular in other places. A combo for this is pretty cheap. It was only for $ 6 and some change after taxes. It can come with either fries or rice and Macaroni salad, with a drink. After trying it, I can pretty much say that is was OK. As I expected, the Ramen was greasy as hell, and the toppings over the patty(green onions and cabbage) would drop all over the place. The Teriyaki sauce they added over it, tasted pretty good though and is what really made this thing edible. The patty was kind of small and thin in my opinion, but still tasted fine. I can definitely see why people would love this, but for my personal preference, this thing is just not my cup of tea While I probably won’t come back just to try the Ramen burger out again, I do think everything else here tastes great(Except for the Macaroni salad-it always taste so bland), hence the 4 stars. I love how they load up their combo plates, for a real cheap price. Shave ice is now served here(which I think they serve it on Mondays for a $ 1 from what I remember hearing), which is another huge plus, and service here has always been friendly for however long I have been coming here.

I have only been here once and had the MALASADAS. I was really craving them since I got back from Hawaii. My husband and I came here to get our fix. We didn’t order anything else off the menu, but the smells that were coming out of this place were amazing. Inside is pretty cute, and has small tables. You order at the register and then they call for you when your order is done. W ordered the malasadas, and they were made to order. They were very warm and soft and had just the right amount of sugar. The taste did not compare to the ones we had in Hawaii, but they will do in a pinch ;) My only suggestion to the owners is, maybe add a cinnamon & sugar option instead of just plain sugar. The price was decent, I think it was around $ 3 for 10. We will def be back to try out the food if it tastes anything like it smells… delicious
