Once in a blue moon, we get a hankering for KFC. The one near our house, never fails to fail, so we skip going there. Once a week, I’m in the area of this location, so I decided to stop by. It’s your normal KFC. This location appears to be older, and a little run down. They could use a remodel and a good cleaning to help the appearance some. I always stop here around 7pm and they have never seem to have extra crispy hot and ready to go. I don’t mind the wait, as I know my food is fresh at least. The chicken is okay, I’m not expecting Grandma’s chicken when I go here. They aren’t bad, but could be a little less greasy and a little bit cheaper. The sides are nothing special. The mac and cheese seems to always be hit or miss. Never ever order it later in the evening, near closing time, as it will be hard, burnt and just nasty. Employees have always been friendly, even offering me a free drink while waiting for my food.

The drive-through here has let us down yet again. I think the serve the stuff that people inside refuse. Not impressed. Closest to my house, but $ 5 for three drumsticks(no drinks or sides) and two of the three look like they’ve cooked them three days in a row!

Me and my girlfriend stopped here after yet another visit to Teazer’s. I know this isn’t the closest one, but we wanted to go to one in a somewhat decent area that wasn’t too far. But I gotta say, nothing impressive at all… We walked in, washed our hands, and while I was waiting for my girlfriend in the bathroom hallway and out of view of the tables or counter, I heard some vulgar language being expressed rather angrily… now I’m not sure if this was an employee or the lady sitting by herself talking on the phone at one of the tables. So we ordered our food: for me, I just had to try the Double Down, and my girlfriend got the mashed potato Famous Bowl(which consisted of popcorn chicken, corn, and cheese all sitting on top of a generous amount of mashed potatoes and topped off with their amazing gravy). Our meal finally came after an ok wait time, which wasn’t really necessary considering we were the only ones there. I started chowing down on my Double Down and loved it, but one thing I didn’t love about it was thinking what all I was taking in along with it… the massive amount of calories, fat, grease, and countless other things(since it is a piece of fried chicken topped with pepper jack cheese, 2 slices of bacon, another piece of pepper jack, and another piece of fried chicken). The food was enjoyable, but then my girlfriend noticed something weird about the restaurant… it started getting hazy in there. I guess they didn’t have very good ventilation because it definitely didn’t look the same as when we walked in.
