John McCormick’s Guns & Ammo

I was actually looking at purchasing a police trade in from a 3^rd party and this place was one of the places they’d ship it too. Looked up some reviews and thought I would come check this place out before making a purchase. Glad I did, the guys here were really friendly. Been shooting quite a bit, but never owned a gun before other the a 12 gauge when I was 18, and a bb gun/​22 LR as a kid. Never even remembered taking a firearm safety test when I got my gun. Felt really uneducated when I went in here. These guys were very polite and welcoming though. Didn’t make me feel dumb at all. In fact, they educated me. Even though it felt really awkward handling a gun in a store. haha! Told them I was looking for a self defense handgun to have for home security due to a lot of robberies and assaults in the area lately. I also wanted something I could take to the range. I didn’t want to spend too much, but I didn’t wanna piece of junk either. Considering I knew what I wanted it for, but not what I wanted specifically, the gentlemen here helped me pick out a real nice Smith & Wesson. For a great price. Set me up with my firearm safety course/​test as well. Made the purchase as painless as possible. Didn’t know much about the gun (probably stupid making a purchase without doing my homework), but looked up some reviews on it and they helped me pick out the perfect entry level firearm for what I wanted it for and at a price within my budget. Some of the reviews on the gun I read said I overpaid, but I assumed it was because the reviews I read they were located back east. It was actually $ 10 more through the manufacturer. No complaints at all. This place was great. Definitely gonna make another purchase here. Good guys, good service, good pricing. Can’t wait to pick up my gun in 9 more days. Definitely would refer this place to a friend.

Ordered a shotgun from Cabelas in Reno and had it shipped to John McCormick’s. Worked with Joe who was very helpful, and their FFL fee was significantly less than other shops. Definitely will use them again.

FIrst time shopping at this place. Walked in fell in love with a nice Sig-​Sauer. GREAT PRICING AND THEY OFFER LAYAWAY. YAY I’M A FAN. Not too many gun shops offering layaway now n days

Very Happy with this purchase and customer service. After having a horrible customer service issue @ prk. I called around looking for gun I wanted. Off the bat this business was Friendly, Respectful and Helpful. Their price was better then anyone. I will shop here again. 5 STARS ***** THANK YOU

This is a great shop to start. The manager is very knowledgeable, pretty cool guys to chat with if you are new to the arms market. Prices are not bad but what you can learn is priceless… thanks for you help
