James Ashjian Lighting Company

We worked with James Ashjian and his team to restore a chandelier in our building — the T.W. Patterson Building in downtown Fresno. The chandelier was installed in the building during its original construction in the 1920s, and Ashjian Lighting handled our chandelier with delicacy and care.
The chandelier was repolished, its interior parts were replaced, and its original bulbs were exchanged for LED, energy-​efficient candle replicas. Three of the original crystal gas shades were lost, and James Ashjian located, and DONATED, 3 perfect replacements for us!
We couldn’t be happier with their customer service and quality of work!

They are not very customer service oriented. We are building a new home and looked at a price for a chandelier that was hanging there. We had to touch the tag to find the price and a male worker there started acting angry at us for looking at the price he was taking a deep breath and rolling his eyes at us. He then went up to the chandelier and turned the price tag back around so nobody could see the price! If you don’t want us to touch it then leave the price tag visible!!!

Excellent workmanship. The very best products. Personable and accommodating staff. Extremely fast service. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. IMO, it’s worth it! If you want quality products installed by electricians, this is the place for you. If you want cheap and ordinary, go to a big box store. Love this place, highly recommend!

The ABSOLUTE BEST lighting company in Fresno! Customer service is outstanding and the team they had to come and install our lights were excellent.
We just moved to Fresno and entrusted James Ashjian with our Waterford Chandelier to store until our remodeling was done. A piece of crystal was broken on the chandelier during the move and they found the replacement at 70% less than we could purchase directly from Waterford!
It was truly a pleasure working with everyone at James Ashjian Lighting. They are very knowledgeable about anything to do with lighting and have a large showroom displaying a wide variety of lights.
Would recommend this company very highly and would have given them «SIX STARS» if it was possible!

I really wanted to like this place. I had a very important project I was working on and I specified that in all of my communications with them. I finally decided on the items and, again, specified my time frames and deadlines. I was assured that there would be no problem… HAHAHAHA…not only was there a problem meeting my dates, they didn’t have my item available for nearly a full month! I checked in with them at least once or twice a week for the first two weeks, and got a different story every time I called. When I finally called and said I was «very unhappy», my item suddenly shipped and was available the very next day. With all of that, the only thing they have to say is «Sorry…». Well, I’m sorry, too… I will definitely NEVER buy here, again (and I’m just beginning with my lighting projects) and I will definitely never recommend anyone to buy here!
