I volunteer here.
I’ve served meals in other organizations and always enjoyed it as a way to help others and connect. The mandatory orientation was very thorough and reviewed their rules and regulations.
They serve two meals between 4:30 and 6:30– first round for homeless/​open to public; second round for the individuals in their program.
I’ve found these people to be polite, kind, and all around a fun group to be around. It’s refreshing to hear «please» and «thank you» so regularly and I always leave with a smile on my face. If you’re looking for a place to volunteer, I highly recommend this site.

Praise God for the wonderful work in housing and feeding the homeless people in our city who might have no other resource.
It’s because of a place like this that we shouldn’t be giving money out to the homeless. Now if you want to buy them a meal or something that’s fine, but otherwise showers, a meal and a bed can be found here.
This is a Christ based organization grappling with the complex and unending needs of the homeless in our community.
Please consider supporting them with your time and your money.
BTW: It was in homelessness, living in a shelter, that I began to let Christ meet the deepest needs of my life. He took me out of a terrible meth addiction, out of homelessness, restored my health and relationships that I once NEVER though could be restored. It’s because of Him that today I walk in gratitude with those terrible issues completely in the rear view mirror!
