I usually get a pasta dish with the red sauce and with the other locations I don’t have a problem with the sauce, with this one the sauce is too acidity for me just change it up a bit where I don’t get bad heartburn and I’ll be a happy camper

This place is great! I grew up eating here and it never disappoints. We frequently order delivery and it is always awesome. I love all the salads they have. Their red sauce is absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. I would eat a whole bowl of just the red sauce by itself. They make their own meatballs and Italian sausage and of course their famous fresh baked bread. Eat the Vinnys pasta or the special Calzone. The only thing that isn’t good is the calamari but I know they don’t make it there it’s just pre breaded frozen stuff so I don’t hold that against them you won’t need an appetizer with their delicious big portioned food. Get a crisp fresh salad with their homemade tangy Italian dressing instead.

This is the second time I have come here, the first time I came was a few years ago. The bread is fresh but I wish it were a little warmer. I ordered the calamari rings as an appetizer and they looked delicious. But there was more breading then anything. For my entrée I ordered the combination plate(spaghetti, lasagna and ravioli). When I got the plate the sauce was really runny and kind of bland. I will give them one more chance but if it’s anything like my last meal I won’t be coming back.

This is usually my go-to place for lasagna al forno, but I decided to try a different items off the menu tonight. Had the Coco’s, which is shrimp and scallops in a light sauce over linguine. It was really wonderful! Bread was also very good, as usual. Great service, as always. One of my favorite dinner places. There are lots of Diciccos around town, and this one has always delivered.

We were a group from out of town, a 4 hour drive home. I was happy to see the place almost empty so we could get on the road. I have never had such a straight faced unenthusiastic server. food was fine but all the salads were drowned in dressing.

$$ pricing, ***** meal. Had the $ 10 full carafe of chianti, and the scallop and prawn pasta. My wife had the eggplant parmesian. All was excellent!

Dicicco’s is pretty fantastic. When you want a savory dinner to indulge in this is the place to order from. We usually eat family style at home but decided to dine-in after work recently. Although it was a busy Friday night, we were seated promptly and with a great attitude. Waters served immediately, we ordered a carafe of wine and our hostess poured it for us, fresh bread place on the table. Everything was timed perfectly. We had a great dinner conversation and never felt like we were being rushed. Husband and I expected to get basic service and eat— instead we had a stellar experience with food with we have always loved.

The bread here is great. The food here is great. I grew up in Fresno and moved away over ten years ago. I visited recently with my family and we went in as a party of nine, including two small children under the age of 5. We were seated quickly. The eggplant parm, the lasagna, and the calzone were *exactly* like I remembered them growing up. Highly recommended. If memory serves me correct, service can be dependent on location. Note: My memory doesn’t always serve me correct.

I had a pleasant experience at this DiCicco’s. The salad was fine; they use mixed greens, so it is a tender salad, not a crispy iceberg. Wasn’t overly dressed, we asked for Italian w/dry blue cheese. I agree w/LXS, you can easily fill up on the bread before ever starting on your entrée. Hubby had the eggplant parmesean; I had linguine w/red clam sauce. I could smell the garlic before the plate was even set before me; I love garlic, so not a problem. The parmesean was a little too bready for me, but I’m not exactly an afficionado of that dish. Finished off w/a profiterole, a cream puff buried in vanilla and chocolate cream. It was almost too cold, it possibly spent some time in the freezer. If it had been left to thaw a bit more, it would have been even more delish. Was impressed to see that they serve Tobin James wine.

Have been to other DiCiccos in the area this one has to be at the bottom. Place is very dated. I remember it from the 70’s when I was in college. It hasn’t been updated since. Arrived around 9:30 pm. place was empty. Food server was very obvious that she wanted to get her saturday nite rolling. Simple order two soft drinks, salad and calzone. OMG salad was almost inedible. limp, drowing in italian dressing/water. Calzone was good. they have the best in town. deep fried, served w/gravy on the side… My recommendation. just pick another DiCiccos in the area. No fault overall with the food. it the property and staff.

This DiCicco’s restaurant is close to the Picadilly Inn where I spent a recent night while visiting Fresno. The Manager at the Inn recommended this place so I thought I’d give it a whirl. The restaurant is nice enough. Maps and pictures of Italy on the walls. Red-checkered tablecloths & Christmas carols playing. The hostess and waitress were fast and friendly. Warning — you could ruin your appetite devouring the big basket of warm bread they bring you. I picked one of the ‘platters’ for $ 17.95. Specifically chicken cacciatore and two pastas. On the platter the two pastas are always lasagna & fettucine alfredo. The amount of food was HUGE. When the waitress brought my food she asked if I wanted Parmesan cheese. Of course! Did she have it with her? No, she left and came back a couple minutes later with a little glass jar filled with the really poor quality ‘sawdust’ that comes from the green can we all remember from our youth. Give us real, quality parmesan cheese please. The chicken cacciatore was reasonably decent. Tender strips of chicken breaded, sauteed and then simmered with various vegetables. The alfredo was ok, very buttery but otherwise the alfredo sauce was a little ‘pastey’ in the mouth. The lasagna reminded me of chef boyardee. The lasagna noodles were seriously over-cooked, the meat was unidentifiable, just awful… Most of the other diners were older couples but there were a few young families. When I arrived around 6:00 pm the restaurant was pretty busy. By the time I left an hour later, the place was nearly empty.
