Belmont Burger

I’ve been going here for years. Although I may not live near the area anymore, my sisters and I still try to come every once in awhile since we crave their delicious burger and fries. The establishment may not be in the nicest of areas but the food is great! They have a variety of foods (burgers to Chinese options) which has never been disappointing every time I come. The last time I went there I ordered the Double Jumbo Combo (so so good). I don’t know what it is about their burgers but I definitely crave it when I’m in the area. This place is a must so if you happen to be around this area, stop by and give it a try!

We drove by here looking for a new place to check out, and the Unilocal reviews brought us in. It’s a divey location, in south east Fresno. Don’t let that scare you off.
My daughter and I shared the large chicken chow me in, which is a decent price at 8.99 given the large size. It tasted authentic, with pieces of celery, bean sprouts, and shredded carrot. My son had the baby burger, which was plenty for a child. When I return, I’ll try the classic size Burger. I also saw a side of fries and other burgers, and they all looked and smelled delicious.

We came here because of the reviews we saw on Unilocal.The burgers are good. It’s not on my favorite side of town but if u happen to be in the area. I would recommend it. I had the California burger, it had flavor. Like other reviews I read it’s better than McDonald’s and Carl’s jr.

Came to this place with high expectations from reading many good reviews. My boyfriend got the beef and broccoli and I got the orange chicken with fried rice. The orange chicken did not have a good flavor in my opinion it was more like a sweet and sour sauce than any orange chicken that I have tasted. The worst part was the fried rice which was completely filled with red sautéed onions and it completely overpowered the rice giving it a horrible taste. I was disappointed by the taste of the food most definitely. Another thing was they charge a dollar for a refill on the large drink. I thought that was crazy. Would not recommend this place especially for Chinese food.

Decided to give this place a second chance. Service was the same, rude and impatient. It was still hot and humid in there, same as last time. Chow me in was greasy and had nothing but veggies. Fried rice was super dry and greasy at the same time. The triple burger was soaked and soggy by the third bite and fell apart. Fries were super salty, same as last time. Definitely not giving this place a third chance.

This place is a staple in this town. The burgers and chinese food are made fresh when you order it. It’s been around for over 30years now. It’s always clean on the inside and foods cooked fast! Which makes me happy. It’s in a run down part of fresno but it’s truly a jewel in this area!

Place was highly recommended by a co-​worker repeatedly-​borderline annoyingly repeated but whatever, different story. Mom and pop burger dive where everything’s made to order and has a homemade taste if you had a fryer and flat top at home (which I wouldn’t mind in the least). Food wasn’t bad at all but was expecting a lot more based on my co-worker’s multiple mentions about this place.
Wouldn’t go out of my way but if you’re in the area? Sure.

This place was recommended to me by a stranger in a bar and I came to try the double sourdough. Burgers are super, super greasy and they’ll fill you up. But I didn’t think they were anything special. Actually, they’re not. It is kinda cool they still have a couple old school coin-​op arcade games in the back. Fries were just ok too.
I get the feeling that this place is a real local favorite which is cool, but compared to burgers around the world? Meh.

I hate to give places like this 3 stars but my mind just wouldn’t allow 1 star more. So let me explain my experiences, yes I’ve been here plenty of times… When I used to go to the gym 3 – 4 times a week with my significant other, afterwards I would want freshly made greasy burger/​sandwiches… Which I think is better than good. Never really cared much for the service but then again, it used to be the lady taking my order.
Now getting to my previous experience. I arrived here on a Sunday bout noon, with my wife and 6 kids (2nephew-​1niece). The cook just got done serving up orders ahead of us, so I decided to ask everyone with me what they wanted… As I stood there ready to order, he tells me to hold on. But for what, u just got done with the last order… Anyways 5 min later of him walking around the kitchen, he then ask me what we wanted to order… Serious look on his face and all, I proceeded with my order. When I got to my baby girls order, she wanted a baby burger combo with lettuce. He kept telling my wife it doesn’t come with lettuce, she told him it’s fine just add it, we will pay the extra. He then kept telling her it’s the same price as the single classic combo, yes we understand that but my daughter doesn’t want it. Note to the old Asian man: please next time if a customer ask for something and willing to pay, try accommodating them, especially if it’s really not going out of ur way… Oh, 1 more thing for the 3 stars… No inside restroom smh

Belmont Burger has the best Cheeseburgers and Fries.
We also love their Tri Tip sandwich.
Owner Operators are very nice people.

My buddy has been bugging me for years to eat here and now I see why. The double cheese burger and fries were great. I have a big selection of places to eat lunch closer to where I work, but I easily see myself making a side trip here now and then.

It’s worth a try if you haven’t! I’ve noticed they updated their restaurant, they keep it up well with cleanness, (because a few years back it did start to look a bit rundown). The owner makes all the food, which is really delicious and portions are big if you’re getting signature hamburger or Chinese food you will have leftovers, Service was quick, so that means I’m a satisfied customer!

This review is only for the vanilla milkshake.
It was so creamy and delicious, it really needed a review of it’s own. I’ve driven past Belmont Burger a few times and finally stopped by for just a milkshake. I happened to be craving a vanilla one and the server whipped one right up. While waiting, someone was making a burger that looked amazing as well. I can’t wait to return to try some more!

Man! The big chains have nothing on mom and pop burger joints. I had the double bacon cheese burger her yesterday and it ranks as on of the best I have ever had. Toasted bun, seasoned beef on the grill, smeared around in the bacon grease… all the regular fixins plus extra onions??? I was in heaven! It is kind of in a ghetto local but well worth the trip. In and Out can’t beat these guys.

I grew up here, literally, from the video games to the chicken teriyaki, this family knows what’s up!
Highly recommend their burgers, but if you are craving some asian, you can do no wrong with the chicken teriyaki!

Belmont Burger is a must stop for me every time I visit Fresno. Their food is great and they offer everything! I always have an internal struggle between the $ 5.00 burger combo and chicken chow mien.
The same couple has owned this restaurant for over 20 years and they are a real treat.
