Great manicures! Left my iPad there over night and the owner had it there waiting for me. Great customer service. Very friendly.

It actually was a struggle for me to give this place 3 stars instead of 4 because I’ve been going here for years and I really do love it, but my last visit forced me to shave off a star. I would not recommend getting a gel manicure here. It has not even been two weeks and I’ve been back 3 times to have cracking, chipping nails replaced– things that should not be happening with gel! The first time I thought it might have just been the technician, but after seeing two other people, that’s clearly not the case! Their UV light machines are a bit dated and IMO might impact the process. Either way, it’s a Waste of time and money for something that isn’t going to last because it’s done improperly. Besides that one infraction, I do really enjoy coming here for more than the fact that the location is convenient to me. The employees here are very sweet, especially the owner. Regular manicures and pedicures are done very well– I love the massage they give while your polish is drying! I also get my eyebrows done here– only by the owner or the younger lady who I believe is named Joy– they’re magic with brows! So don’t be weary to give this place a try– just be cautious of the gel.

I am going to review two different services since my experiences differ drastically. Firstly, I went in for a eyebrow wax. The waxing room wasn’t the cleanest and neatest place — hard to be comfortable in there. The lady that took care of me was really mean… like what’s your problem? I just want a wax so I can be publicly presentable. The whole process was really painful, more than I’ve ever experienced. After the whole thing, I went home and noticed that both sides of my face, right where they waxed, started to become extremely hot and red. I didn’t know what was going on since it never happened to me before. So I googled it and it seemed like they’ve burned me — wax was too hot for my skin. I was really angry! It’s my face that you’re dealing with, you really have to be careful and not rush through it. I’m paying for the service, so I deserve a gentle and patient person to work with my face. I went back and told them what happened. I have to say, they dealt with it really well. They offered to buy me an aloe cream and gave me a gift certificate for a manicure. The owner apologized a billion times when I was there. I told myself never to go back there no matter how convenient. But I gave in — because I was all the other salons around the area didn’t meet my standards for pedicures. I have in-grown nails so I really need someone who can deal with that correctly. The hispanic girl(never caught her name) is really gentle and precise with my toes. Although it hurts so much to dig into my toes and cut out some nail, she does a great job in removing a good amount so I won’t have to return for a long time. Pedicures cost $ 17… honestly other than the in-grown nails part, everything else is just whatever — nothing too special. I wish I can find a better place that can actually deal with my in-grown nails.

I’ll give you all an update on this place… I’ve been sitting in the pedicure chair for 20mins w/my feet in the water(which is now cold) waiting for someone to do something. They use Dial soap with a yellow square thing that I guess was supposed to be the exfoliation part. Then, she rubbed a slice of lemon all over my feet/lower legs??? Overall, this has been the weirdest, non-relaxing pedicure I’ve ever gotten…

Update: Gel manicure was perfect! I’m surprised about all the bad reviews this place received. I’ve been here several times and had my mani and pedi done by all different people and haven’t had a bad experience yet. I’m very particular when it comes to my nails and have been to all of the five star salons in most of Queens and have had mixed reviews about each(either they were good with pedis but not with manis or vice versa). Don’t really have any complaints about this place. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars yet is bc I haven’t tried their gel manicure yet. I’m hoping to do it soon. Will leave an update when I do. Would also like to add that during one particular visit in the frigid winter, I needed to add money to my parking meter. One of the technicians, who was not even working on me, got quarters and ran outside to my car with my keys and paid the meter and left the receipt on my dashboard. She ran outside in the cold without a jacket as if it were her car out there! Very very sweet and it seemed as if it was their natural reaction to such problems. They do a great job with cutting cuticles and making sure your hands and feet look great!

Needed a french mani and pedi for a wedding. First my toes were were taken care of. While the girl started on the first toe, the owner came over to watch. The white polish was put in so shaky that the owner waved the girl away and had to do it herself. The owner did a good job. Another woman did my hands. The women who did my hands had her daughter running around the whole salon. She was more occupied with watching her daughter than doing my nails. Bad service. She kept looking up and forgetting what she was concentrating on. This resulted in a terrible mani. Both layers of pink and white polish were laid on so thick and unevenly that my thumbs came out looking like my big toes. Gross. I was forced to have them redone at another place the next morning. When I had them redone, the manicurist asked if I had attempted to do the mani myself. Yeah. that’s how bad it was . +1 star because the owner was good. Everything else was terrible here.

I came here for a brazilian wax at the recommendation of a friend. I’ve never had a wax«down there» at a nail salon, and I never will again! I don’t know who my friend usually sees when she gets her wax, but the woman who did my wax clearly had little to no experience. No gloves and used the same stick to dip into the wax the entire time(ick) but I figured once she started I might as well finish. Nearly ripped my skin off several times and made both my area and her hands super sticky because of the amount of wax she used. Didn’t do the back but at that point I didn’t want her to because it was so painful. I thanked her and got the hell out of there. I haven’t had a good look yet because I’m not home but from what I saw in the bathroom it looks like she just broke the hair rather than pulling it out. Cheap wax($ 35), but for me it definitely was not worth it.
