It’s probably safe to say, NOBODY likes going to the dentist! It’s not at the top of my list of things to do… but I do it anyhow. During my last visit with Dr. Wiseman, I(threatened) to Unilocal him & he replied«why don’t you»?(so here I am)… I’m thinking a good dentist is like a good hairdresser, once ya find one, ya keep ‘em!(Lucky for me, I have both) :-D I can’t remember how long I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wiseman — that’s how long it’s been!(Good sign)… A few things to expect before booking your appointment: — a very helpful & professional receptionist to book your appt — an extremely bubbly, friendly, adorable, funny(I’m running outta adjectives but you get the point) assistant. She always makes me feel the most at ease that she can before the(torture) procedure starts. She’s been working with the doctor for as long as I’ve been a patient so again… good sign! — A dentist who does only what he has to do & is not trying to soak his patients of their hard-earned dollars. I’ve been lucky enough to not have needed much dental work(got a full mouth of chicklets) but after my cleaning in July, I ended up experiencing some sort of discomfort on one side on my mouth on & off for a few months so I thought(nervously) I better get it checked out! Went in about a week & a half ago & he gave me the possibilities of what was happening(I googled the symptoms beforehand & was getting nervous that a root canal — my first ever — was coming in the near future — YIKES!!) He told me he would know more after removing the old filling & he decided to try fillings & bonding to start — probably because he saw the look of terror when he said«extract» or «root canal»!! He also told me what to expect & that I should give the tooth about one week to settle down & he was completely right about that! I’m not 100% sure that fillings will solve the problem but the aching seems to have subsided for now so I’m gonna ride it out & see what happens. I am unable to floss where the work was done so I left a message for a follow up visit in hopes that it’s an easy fix. If not, I can always update my Unilocal review… lol! P. S. If you don’t hear back from me in a week or two with an update, it all went well! ;-)
