I always frequent this establishment during the week and since i was in the area over the weekend I decided to stop by this past sunday night. Upon arrival, I was provided the usual one and only menu that I am always given when I go there and I opted to order a long island ice tea which on the menu indicated that it was $ 9. So 4 long island ice teas later I asked for my check and I see that all 4 drinks were charged for $ 12 each. I approached the bartender about my dilemma and she said that the menu prices are for happy hour only. I proceeded to ask her why i wasn’t given a menu that conveyed accurate pricing and she said«I don’t know». Clearly it would have been more effective talking to a brick wall…

BEWARE: it is SOOO loud If you want the atmosphere of a club then this place certainly gets a 5 star. You also get a bunch of woman twerking and dancing all night long. I came with my BF on a Saturday night around 939 and it wasn’t too busy. We ordered a papa smurf flavored ice hookah. On their regular menu it’s priced as $ 20 + $ 4 for ice but apparently they have«weekend» prices and a separate sheet that labels it at $ 28. He ordered a whiskey and Coke and it was good and strong at a price of $ 10. Upon taking the first few pulls it was strong in flavor, pulled well without being harsh, and there was a lot of smoke. But then slowly we needed it to be «serviced» but the workers are just smoking their own hookah either in the front of the back of the place. Had to flag them down a few times to get help. Long review short… Come if you want to get turnt with ratchet people

This place sucks! Horrible service — waited 20 – 30 mins for our server to come and collect the bill. We wanted to get more drinks but he kept disappearing. The hookah was very weak too. They need more staff and better products. The drinks are expensive for a spot like this. Not coming back here. Avoid this place!

Come here often because it’s not too far from my house but the service is horrible. Lack of communication and consideration. They don’t have enough stools and can’t not afford to sit the loud volume of people coming. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

I wish I could give them zero stars but apparently Unilocal doesn’t allow it. I Just left this place for its horrible service. I came here to enjoy some hookah so we decided to stop by here. The hostess brought us to our seats. Then the waiter comes to ask us if we’re ready and we ordered our hookah but needed a few more min to order our drinks. He said«okay I’ll get your hookah and will come back». We were finally ready to order our drinks but the waiter never returned with our hookah. We waited patiently for at least 20 min. Then we noticed that two other people were attended right away and these were people who came right after us. We immediately got up and left for its terrible service. I rarely ever give bad reviews but cloud9 just made it to first place. they are the first to receive a terrible review from me. All I wanted was great service, hookah, and drinks. The only thing I can think of that was good was the hostess who was considerate to try and seat us somewhere comfortable.

One star for the good quality hookah, got the strawberry margarita and it was a good strong flavor that last well over the hour. Another star for the attentive service, didn’t have to ask to get new coal, it was changed periodically. Third star for the $ 12 hookah until 8pm. I didn’t like the dirty menus and it looked a little overdone with the disco lights and the green lights. The place looked a little dingy and dirty. I didn’t feel like I can try out their food without getting sick therefore I ordered a snapple.

The staff at this establishment are very friendly and courteous. They will attend to your every need. The bartenders and Jessie(the dude who actually prepares the hookahs) are super friendly. The hookahs in general are very smooth. They have great flavors such as Black Rose and Mango Paan. As for the food and drinks, they have happy hour specials everyday. Hookahs are just $ 12 before 8PM. Buy one drink and get the second one for just a buck! Fifty cent wings on Thursdays along with one dollar beers. Can’t go wrong with that! Anyways, if you’re in the neighborhood make sure to give this spot a chance.

Came here last Thursday. It was pretty dead at around 6:30. I was greeted by a pretty friendly bartender how assured me that they had good chicken wings. Cause honestly that’s all I came for besides the hookah. The wings didn’t disappoint so kudos to the bartender. The drinks were okay. The happy hour is decent buy one drink and get the second one for a dollar can’t go wrong with that. The interior décor needs a bit of work. The seating could be updated. This place has potential just needs some work. Would I go back sure why not. It’s a low key place if you aren’t looking for much of a hype scene to just have a drink and hookah.

Okay so I’m from Brooklyn who currently lives in Miami but has tons of family in Queens. So for my vacation from Miami my ppl brought me here. Cover charge not bad comparing to Miami which has can be $ 20. Anyway the Hookah was good, the music was dope, my one and major complaint is what they put on the television. They had some x files type stuff playing and it honestly killed my vibe a bit. Thank God for the music.

My boyfriend and I used to come here often right after work, theyre hookahs were pretty good, we used to order a grilled chicken sandwich with the hot sauce and it was amazing… all of a suddent about 6 months ago, everything changed. the hookah was not good anymore, the chicken sandwiches were not as tasty. im not sure if they got a new management and chef but I don’t even feel like coming here anymore. sad.

I have been to this establishment numerous times and this is the first time I am THOROUGHLY disappointed and disgusted(to say the least). First off the cover charge to get in is ridiculous. Especially when the lounge is empty. Secondly, the prices for hookah have changed dramatically and the service has gotten worse. I used to come to this place from Brooklyn or Harlem because it was worth it. But not anymore. I definitely WILLNOT be returning here. There are so many other places in the city that don’t charge to get in and play music. If I am driving all the way out here and paying like I am in the city. I might as well go the city where I am getting my money’s worth. Cloud 9 has LOST a customer tonight.

When I 1st started going to cloud 9 there was NO coverage & it seem to attract people by the flock. It always had a good fun vibe, but then over time it just got worse & worse. The bartenders are sweet & the drinks are good Never had a problem with them at all. Just wished they wouldn’t change them so often. I tend to like to have the same person make my drinks. The hookah is good but after a while you’ll be tasting the coal. The DJ is what actually makes this place, in my honest opinion if it wasn’t for him this place wouldn’t be what it is. I would say the best day to go here is on a friday night, saturdays seem like their ractchet night. But take a day to go & see for yourself

I went there on Friday, 4÷10÷15, with my brother. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and vibe. There were alot of single group females just having a good time. The music was better than some clubs because it played everything. The staff was very attentive and the prices for drinks were fair. The drinks were hit or miss, some were strong and some were weak. I liked the spot and would go there again. If your looking for a low key chill spot with plenty of parking and your tired of the hassle of Manhattan and Brooklyn then swing through. P. S. we went to Layla’s first, but left in less than 10 minutes because they don’t serve alcohol.

I think the cover charge is only on weekends. The verdict seems to be that Cloud 9 is the more ratchet version of Layla, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Layla has more tables and the seating looks a little less ghetto but Cloud 9 is roomier and I don’t have to worry about knocking over hookahs on my way out. The prices are relatively similar; ~10−15 for a variety of flavors, and ice bongs are ~5 more than the regular hookahs. The coal boys /waitresses are super sweet and attentive at BOTH places and both environments are perfect for a chill night out. In conclusion, Cloud 9 has a more Juicy J and Chief Keef kind of vibe that is not necessarily a negative. Oh and I think Layla has karaōke nights on Tuesday!

I decided to come back to my old stomping grounds & visit Cloud 9 once again. Not quite sure why they charge a cover fee when their prices for Hookah & gratuity make up for the price charged at the door. $ 10 a head to get in & for what? I guess they figure there’s patrons that will gladly pay, & you know what they’re absolutely RIGHT! I would think they would enforce a dress code to go along with the cover charged at the door. I saw skullies, fitteds, Timbs, baggy clothes & sunglasses(ugh, I seriously hate that look. There’s NO sun in here, Foolio!!) The hookah was strong until I realized the ice hookah that we ordered wasn’t frozen properly. Don’t even think about changing the charcoal yourself because there’s no tongs! You literally have to flag down a short Spanish man to get two. YES, two measly pieces of charcoal. He tends to disappear into the kitchen numerous times throughout the night. If you want drinks be prepared to go to the bar yourself. That’s right, they do not believe in waitressing.

As a pretty big fan of Layla’s Hookah Lounge(only down the street) I figured their competition would be on their toes. I was wrong. We were greeted by a bouncer shortly after 10pm on a Saturday evening, which isn’t so bad for those 18 – 20 who just want to smoke hookah and not drink. We were waiting for the rest of our party(there were about 8 of us) and were seated right away in the back room which was nice because i expected to be crowded. Pros: The hookah(we ordered piña colada, blue thunder, and one other flavor. The piña colada was pretty tasty) pulled well for the most part and the smoke was pretty thick. The drinks were average but inexpensive as well. The music was on point for the most of the night. Cons: The service is terrible! Every time we wanted to order food or more drinks, we had to go to the bar ourselves. You’d expect a business like this to keep a close eye on big parties as they’re likely to spend more money if the service is on point, but they didn’t care. They also served the drinks in plastic cups which is pretty tacky, but whatever. They don’t give tongs with the hookahs to shift the coal yourself so you have to get up and search for the coal guy yourself. The speaker in the back went out for about a half hour while they figured out the issue but I guess that was a fluke. They also add the gratuity which kind of sucks because their service is lacking MAJORLY. All in all, it’s an okay place for the most part but i definitely would not be back if I’m not with a big group.

Hookah was fantastic; it produced a gorgeous, thick smoke. I cannot remember the flavors we ordered. Coals were changed often without us having to ask and without an extra charge. Music was also on point– hip hop and reggae. We ordered bottled service because the birthday boy of the night was glamoured by the sparklers that came with the bucket. The bottle was Rose. It came in a bucket on ice(?) with 4 plastic wine glasses and the sparkler. The bottle can’t have been more than a $ 10 dollar bottle of wine but the cost was $ 180. I suppose that is what bottles go for so I cannot complain but OOPS. The area was questionable… Service at the bar was not too impressive… it took awhile as bartenders were chatty. The smoke and alcohol got the better of one of the members of our party but the bar didn’t seem to care. They seemed more interested in getting us off the premises. Did not appreciate that and for that reason alone, I won’t be back.
