I’ve tried the rest, this is the best. Great products, great service, very competitive pricing. What else could you want? They have ordered speciality requests for me and introduced me to liquors and wines I would have never tried, but loved.

Neighborhood liquor store just around the corner from my parent’s house. The owner is pretty nice and the place is never packed, so he’s usually willing to give you some advice and offer you tastings if he has an open bottle. Additionally he offers tastings every Friday.
Also always ask if he has any specials on cases or bottles. I think he has a few friends that offer him specials, which he in turn offers his customers if you buy a case.
I usually just go in name a price point and a type of wine and I am given several options. They’re also pretty well versed in other types of alcohol and will offer you cheaper alternatives to some of the name brand stuff.

Family-​owned business! John, Asha and Steve are very friendly, warm folks who have a passion for wine and spirits. All are highly knowledgeable. Will pass by other shops, just to do business with them. Highly recommend!

My favorite liquor store in New York. They have great hours and a huge selection of wine and liquor. The owner is a great guy, he always takes time to assist you with whatever you need, from expert wine advice to cocktail recipes. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me pick out many excellent bottles of wine, all without ever trying to up-​sell me. If you keep track of what you drink and show him a list or describe the characteristics you like, he can really make an excellent recommendation that will fit your tastes. I am not talking about the average «dry or sweet» conversation that you have with the staff in most wine stores.
They also frequently have vendors doing free tastings in the store. The prices are reasonable and they have quality wines in every price category from just about every region that produces wine. I have only bought liquor here a few times but when I have it has been priced as I expected. Around the holidays they have the gift sets that include a bottle of liquor and special drinking glasses. Also, the owner will tell you if there is a situation where buying in a different package size is a better deal (such as if he gets a deal on small bottles and it is cheaper to buy 2 smalls then 1 large.)

I like this place. The owner/​mgr always has a good recommendation and he never goes for the most expensive bottle. Very fair, I like that! I wish I knew his name, he is very knowledgeable and is courteous as well!
Two thumbs up! Get a bottle, grab a donut at Lulu’s, then hop on the bus home! Love my neighborhood!
