I had the avocado sandwich with hummus and caramelized onions and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. I’m overjoyed that Frenchtown has a vegan friendly restaurant. The smoothies are well worth the money. The little side salad of kale was delightful and savory. The owner is really nice and I will eat there again!

My wife and I were in Frenchtown doing some Christmas shopping and walked into this restaurant. What a great meal! Can’t wait to go back and work my way through the menu. I think it’s one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Definitely not your typical veggie menu items. Go. Eat.

Very nice place. Friendly. Food was very good. One thing that is beginning to bother us and we see it more often in many establishments is that sandwiches are getting smaller and smaller as prices get higher and higher. 4 small bites of my sandwich and it was gone. I dint even have to hold it with 2 hands. What I could taste of my sandwich was very good but I would consider it a 9 dollar slider.

This place is great! We stopped here on our way back to Philly from Ringing Rocks for a quick bite. My boyfriend, a meat eater, was more than satisfied by the tempeh coconut«bacon» burger with Chipotle vegannaise. I got the grilled brie with strawberry jam — also incrEDIBLE. Didn’t get any juices or smoothies, but we’ll definitely return for them!

Delicious, fresh and hearty vegetarian cuisine. Today was our second time eating here, this time for brunch. We had sweet potato pancakes(breakfast panckes made with sweet potatoes) with Apple’s, maple syrup and nuts plus huevos rancheros as one of their specials. Both were equally great. Friendly service too. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to like Pulp; I’m not and I look forward to coming back.

Frenchtown has no shortage of good cafes, but this vegetarian restaurant shows how it’s done. The menu is clearly designed by people with a passion, and the only problem was figuring out what to order. I had the sweet potato and ginger soup — no cream– yay ! Delicious! I can’t wait to visit again . The place is adorable, low prices and super friendly.

I have to admit this place sounded a little TOO healthy to me, but after tasting the smoothies I’m hooked. Pulp also can boast the absolutely best oatmeal in Frenchtown(and that’s a hard category to win because there are a lot of great restaurants offering some pretty good, hearty, healthy oatmeal). Don’t let your fast-food-and-French-frie-loving self spurn this place, It’s great food, great drinks, and great service that just happens to also be deliciously healthy for you.

Today we stumbled upon Pulp completely by accident. Looking for a spot to grab some late brunch, I noticed this place tucked into a little nook and snuck over to see what it was. Imagine my surprise to find an all-vegetarian café! The space itself is bright, warm and inviting. It’s on the smaller side, with maybe eight or so tables; cozy, but not cramped at all. The menu offered a large selection of juices and smoothies, in addition to a modest selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. It wasn’t just the ubiquitous hummus and veggie wrap, either. There was a tempeh burger with coconut«bacon», a lentil-based sloppy joe, sweet potato pancakes with sauteed apples… substantial, creative fare. Coffee came out first, and was excellent(they serve coffee from nearby Homestead Coffee Roasters). So far, so good! Food quickly followed. I had The BLA sandwich and a cup of the day’s soup(Split Pea). The sandwich consisted of flaked coconut«bacon», shredded lettuce, ripe avocado, and thinly sliced tomato on lightly toasted millet & flax bread. It was a simple sandwich, without dressing or adornment of any kind.(I actually would have liked a schmear of mayo/Nayo or something, just to add a bit of moisture and extra flavor… but a dash of salt and a few shakes of Sriracha did the trick.) Served alongside the sandwich was a cold chopped kale salad; with bits of red onion and a tangy balsamic dressing, this simple salad was incredibly flavorful and really wowed me. The split pea soup was tasty — thick and hearty, with chunks of carrot and potato, and served piping hot. The boyfriend enjoyed the Tempeh Bacon Cheeseburger, which was also served with that lovely kale salad. The burger itself was a savory, thick-cut slab of tempeh whose interior was moist, almost juicy — a quality I’ve never really found in tempeh before! The burger was topped with more of those coconut«bacon» bits and a mound of meltingly soft caramelized onions. Shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and a schmear of chipotle laced, cashew-based cheeze finished it off.(That cheeze was some seriously tasty stuff.) We finished off the meal by sampling one of their house made(vegan) Sweet Potato Chocolate Chip Cookies. This tasty little gem was super moist and just sweet enough, with a hint of coconut flavor… yum! Pulp is serving fresh, wholesome, tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, as well as our conversation with the super friendly proprietors. I’m looking forward to returning!

Fresh, Vegan, Fresh pressed juices, Tempeh burgers… I could go on and on! I am so happy to have this place so close to my home! Finally a place to grab a juice and lunch while not feeling bad about yourself. I had a «Remedy» which has ginger and cayenne pepper which I haven’t been able to find in many juice bars. The black bean burger was a sizable portion and I still scraped the plate. This was only my first visit but I will now be a repeat customer. Very nice bright atmosphere with extremely welcoming staff. Great for breakfast or lunch, they aren’t open for dinner. Great for kids, a date, a catch-up and so much more. Make sure to check this place out!

I just found my favorite new spot. I’ve eaten here several times recently. The food is delicious and the atmosphere hip, warm and cozy. I am not a vegetarian but I find myself returning again and again to this restaurant because the food is so good and the menu so varied. I start each meal with coffee which is by far the best in Frenchtown. Yesterday I went to Pulp for Brunch. I had a green and fruit smoothy(which was the perfect balance of sweet and healthy) followed by the tofu scramble. This was the best tofu scramble I have ever had hence the five stars. My girlfriend had a seriously healthy green juice, «the Mean Green» which she loved. Then she had(the less healthy) sweet potato pancakes smothered with warm caramelized apples, nuts and maple syrup. She became totally consumed with her pancakes. She really didn’t talk to me the entire meal except at one point to mutter something — «amazing.» So far everything I have tried has been tasty– the black bean burger, grilled avocado sandwich and eggs florentine are some of my favorites. Next week I’m going to try the brie and jam sandwich or the vegan tempeh«bacon cheese» burger.

If you are anywhere near Frenchtown, you really need to eat here! Especially if you are vegetarian/vegan. My three favorites are the raspberry brie, the black bean burger and the avocado with caramelized onion sandwich. You can really taste the fresh ingredients coming through in each item. If you love good coffee, you also need to stop in here. They use fresh ground, locally roasted homestead coffee in individual paper cone filters for their«pour over» coffee. Its about as good as cups of coffee get. Don’t worry about still being hungry after you eat here. I’m 6’2″, 240 lbs and I have a matching appetite. In particular the black bean burger was super filling and I was still good hours later. I’ve never seen the service be as lax as Lara C. describes, and I go into Pulp almost every day.

Last weekend I had the best black bean burger in my life. It is crazy good. There is something about the sauce, the texture. I am going back next weekend. I am obsessed. I love you Pulp!
