Pluto’s Pizzeria

One of the few places open Wednesday night following the Wizard of Oz train. Kind of hidden but worth the find. The deep dish by the slice was awesome.

Good pizza and Stromboli, right off the bowling alley and arcade at the French Lick Resort.

This is without a doubt the worst thing I’ve ever put in my body. Anything who has ever eaten food would know this is the most pitiful attempt at pizza on the planet.

Pluto’s Pizzeria is a small pizza shop on the lower level of the French Lick Resort. the puzza, calzones, stromboli, breadsticks and pretzels are all made fresh daily by Anthony, a native of Brooklyn, New York, home to the best pizza in the world. Pluto’s Pizzeria is delicious and you’ll think you’re in Brooklyn — it’s seriously that authentic. You will be glad you tried it.

The place is a nice quaint atmosphere and a great place to go after drinking or gambling. It is also nice for kids because of the close proximity of bowling and an arcade.
The pizza was OK. Nothing great, but it was not bad either. I had a slice of pepperoni and a Deep Dish Chicago Style slice.
The Pepperoni Pizza was tasty, but the cheese was a little bland. The crust was flavorful and the pizza sauce had some character.
The Chicago Deep Dish slice left me a little disappointed. While it looked really good, it was void of flavor for the most part. While it did have a great base sauce, the cheese was just not all that good. The sausage had no spice at all, and I believed it to be a little undercooked. It was pretty doughy but edible. The price for a slice is pretty steep, but since its in the resort, it’s par for the course.
I REALLY wish they would have a better selection of beer there. Just Bud products… sad. If you are selling gourmet pizza, you need to have some great beer to go with it. May I suggest Upland Brewing or New Albanian Brewing to showcase some Indiana beers in French Lick.
I will say I will order from them again. Just better have crushed red pepper in hand to add some bite to their pizza pie!

Better than any hotel pizza joint deserves to be. Real pizza ovens. Handmade dough (gluten free, I was told).
Decent pizza by the slice and calzones. Friendly staff.

This place is in the arcade at French Lick hotel. It’s ok for a late night craving or if you have kids, but if you’re seeking good pizza look elsewhere.

Pleasantly surprised with the slices of pizza available at Pluto’s (which is located in the basement of the hotel, right next to the bowling alley). Everyone really liked their pizza, and it’s a good deal for a quick bite to eat. Would be great for anyone with kids, or people like us (in our twenties and hungover!)
