Today was my second time going to this little market. They seem to have a pretty decent selection of essential Persian groceries/goods. The first time we went, the man behind the counter was a little rude. Today, the same guy was much nicer. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe he was having a bad day the first time we were down. This place was on the verge of 4 stars. One star(from a 5 star rating) reduction was because the store is a bit cluttered and small. My second star deduction was because of a mishap w/some lavosh bread I bought today. It seemed nice and fresh, but when I got home and went to serve it with the dinner I had prepared, we noticed that several pieces of the bread had mold on them. ICK! I would have taken it back to the store, but I live a considerable distance from Fremont. Oh well, it happens though. I wouldn’t let this completely spoil my opinion of this store. I would go back for sure if I need something or if I am in that area.

This Afghan/Iranian grocery store has everything that you would need for a Middle Eastern meal. It’s a little cluttered, but if you can’t locate something. one of the nice owners will gladly help you out. They also have Persian movie rentals, a small selection of CD’s, a key cutting service, and watch repair station(new batteries for $ 5). Kinda weird, but whatever. They are very nice.

Smallish Persian market with decent dessert selection and falooda sorbets.
