Van Zante Snow Removal

John VanZante is supposed to clear out driveways in the winter time when it snows so the elderly people can get out. He is to make sure that the drive is clear along with the porch and stairs. At first he started to do a great job making sure it was cleared after big snow storms but as of lately he has not even taken the initiative to even clean out the drive or walkway for the elderly people in this town. He is being paid by the State Of Iowa to do this service and does not take it seriously. I and other relatives have had to clear out our elderly mothers driveway several times and she does not have a very good shovel or snow blower that works. Also both driveways are not being taken care of as the last time we had to call John 3 times with no answer on his phone. We left a message and after the 3^rd time calling he finally showed up late at night. Little pathetic that he could not get down in the morning as when people need to get someplace. What if there was an emergency where would the ambulance park or how would they get to the door way? John also has not been very good at mowing during the summer as the grass has grown several feet tall and it’s hard to walk in. When he does mow, it’s late at night at 9pm and then he misses spots and it looks terrible. I would not recommend his services. It seems that he can do church parking lots and other neighbors who are his friends but yet when he is to be doing the elderly they come last.
