Sylvan Learning of Fremont

My son has been attending Sylvan Fremont for almost 2 years now. He has problems with Math and this learning center helped him a lot. His grade in Math is now B from F, and he said he will be needing to go there until he finished high school. I am very thankful to the teachers and also to Claire who spent a lot of time explaining the process in preparation for college…

My daughter Jordan has been attending Fremont Sylvan for about a month now. She enjoys going to her sessions and she says that the teachers are really nice. There hasn’t been a time yet that she has complained about having to go. She says she is, and appears to be learning. She seems to be more confident in doing her work.
The teachers and administrative staff at Sylvan seem to be very caring and eager to help with raising the children’s confidence and level of knowledge. I am happy with it so far. I would recommend this program to other parents.

Totally unprofessional management. They kept on telling me that they could handle my daughter’s geometry level for six months and kept on promising that they would be arranging for more geometry teachers soon. After the first two months we realized that there is only one teacher Sandy who can teach geometry well at my daughter’s level there and she is available only on mon-​wed. She unfortunately has had some family emergencies and has been out a couple of times in the last two months which basically means my daughter did not get any help when she needed for tests and quizzes. The substitutes provided were below sub standard who either solved the problems wrong or were not even familiar with the basics. And now with three months of school time remaining, I have to look for another tutor because they don’t know when their main teacher will back from her family Emergency. I continued here only because Sandy is a great teacher and my daughter was happy with her. I do understand teachers can have emergencies and health problems but this feedback is for the management who were not able to provide substitute help whenever needed in spite of promising again and again that they were training teachers so there would be availability all days of the week.

I come here for their proctoring services. My proctor, Janel, is super chill and easy going! I have no problem finding parking and booking appointments for my exams here. They always give me a big room, so I have plenty of space to do my exams. I used to go to Bay Area Testing Center in Millbrae, but they’re really far and expensive. Proctor services at Sylvan costs $ 70 for the first time, and $ 50 for all future proctoring service regardless of exam time. I highly recommend this place if you need a proctor.

We love Sylvan! Our kids have really improved so much this year. It was the best move we made when it comes to their education.

My son started here a few weeks ago. Very welcoming and process is very easy. He’s liking his tutors and has been making progress.
