I am really quite surprised by the reviews here… I had a really pleasant experience here. I bought the groupon deal for two organic facials and booked a month ahead for both. My skin I super sensitive and I usually avoid facials. I am so glad I went there. Cindy was taking care of me for my first visit and she advised that it is better not to go for the facial massage this time due to my acne condition that day. I felt a little bad but she gave me a nice massage instead. The sour cherry face pack was really good. She is an excellent conversationalist and we were laughing for the most part! It was more than an hour session. She suggested some products for my skin and when I told her maybe I’ll try them once I get a job she immediately told me to try yogurt and honey instead. It has been really good for my skin! Thank you Cindy! Second time I was taken care of by Elizabeth. Arrived early and felt really nice when Cindy told em that Elizabeth has been expecting me, I was expecting to wait as I was well 15 mins ahead of time. I was super tired and had planned on napping for this session :) She was so nice as well! I loved the facial and shoulder massage. The face pack was heavenly! The session was not by the clock, past 10 mins — we had started earlier as well. I love these ladies!!! I really wish more people get to experience what I did. Cheers!

We bought the Living Social deal for the couple massage. My husband calls to book our appointment and was told they cancelled the deal because too many people bought it… HUH? I am pretty sure you can set a limit on these things… if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. May this be a lesson for you Skin Wellness. Talk about bad for business. We were looking forward to our couples massage, I guess we will have to take our money elsewhere.

Quite young massage therapist, so spa has to pay her less; but then for clients how it is? I went for my appt @4 around 3.55, but the place address was not see, so kept on circling around to find the place. When I reached there, had to go through bunch of papers to write history which the therapist didn’t even look at. Finally she took me in 10 mins late, 5 mins she gave me to change(I don’t need that much of time) and then she stopped @ 4.55? So, is this called one hour massage? I got 40 mins of massage, she didn’t have any client after me, she took me in late, so she could have finished massage little late. Is this professional?

I’ve been seeing Cindy since she opened Skin Wellness up. I have serious issues with my neck and shoulders tightening up and she is the only massage therapist that can loosen my neck up. She has another therapist working for her named Melissa. Melissa also does deep tissue. She’s also great. OK ladies and gentlemen I do have to add in that these ladies do DEEPTISSUE massage that loosens up muscles. So if you’re wimpy you will have to ask for very light pressure. Skin Wellness is small but cutely decorated and VERY clean. The massage tables are cushy and one room even has a warmer if needed.

I really wanted to like this place! But it was similar to the other reviewers as well. I am reviewing a facial and mini massage I received there. Nice orange water, NO extractions, NO steaming, mask was STILL on my face after I left the salon, the mask wasn’t too bad for the products they use, but it was dark in there and cold. I did appreciate the massage though, it was relaxing, but overall for a facial at the price it is being offered for(I had a groupon luckily), it was not worth it. The staff was nice, but not enough to make me want to go back. They highly need a remodeling of their interior and the atmosphere it creates, as well as rethink their facials for the price they are offering it at(or start steaming and doing extractions!)

My experience is similar to the previous reviews. I used my groupon to try their facial with neck and shoulder massage. The place looked mediocre nothing fancy. but i didn’t care much abt it. my real issue was with the facial and massage. My neck and shoulder are normally very stiff so i get massages very regularly. i told her abt my issue and did put lots of pressure around my neck/shoulder…but it didn’t feel like my other massages that I get where she looks for knots and releases them. Facial was mediocre. infact she left the room saying that its done without telling me that I left stuff on your face, so i happened to use the restroom and saw that last facepack she applied was still there. i was saved but she didn’t care to tell me that. and again no extraction !!

My review is pretty much like yello’s review. I didn’t like how the asthethecian always walked in and out of the room. Grabbing stuff here and there… i just couldn’t relax coz she kept opening and closing the doors. She added too much pressure with her massages and when i told her it hurted me, she said«well, your shoulders are stiff, i need to remove the stiffness». Then my shoulders hurt for anotehr 4 days coz of her added pressure. They’re expensive for what they offered. I“ve been to really nice spas in San Francisco, and they don’t even charge as much as this place!

I’ve been super stressed, so decided to treat myself to a Groupon deal for SkinWellness. For $ 80, you get a spa package including a one-hour massage, an organic facial, and a hand-and-foot salt glow(up to a $ 190 value). Sounds spa-tastic, right? Well I thought so too… sucker! Reception When I arrived the particularly-friendly male receptionist cheerfully greeted me and insisted I try a glass of oranged infused water even though I brought my own water bottle. +ONESTAR. Massage I let the therapist know that I like a lot of pressure and she obliged. Ok… so here’s the tricky part. I ALWAYS get hot stone and/or deep tissue(and I’m not new massage). Which is usually a blissful ‘hurt so good’ that relaxes my muscles. While there were good parts of the massage, it was hurt so not good and in general just mediocre. In fact, my shoulders ached for 2 days after. Feel free to check out some of my other massage reviews. –ONESTAR Salt Scrub A mere 5 minutes long, there’s nothing fancy about this treatment. She rubbed some salt on hands and feet and then wiped it of. Ironically, this was my favorite part of the package. +ONESTAR Facial While I humbly consider myself a massage connoisseur(mainly b/c I’m always stressed), I’ve only had about a dozen facials. That being said, I was very disappointed with my facial. In between the massage and facial the thereapist left the room for about 4 – 5 minutes to grab the products. I would have figured she could have done that before my massage… but ok fine. Then she rubbed some stuff on and wiped some stuff off… rinse and repeat… and that was it. No extractions… no real facial massage. NO STARs
