We go there quite a lot though I don’t check in here all the time. We love their food, especially their beef tongue burrito, which not many place offer this, it’s always cook to perfection! Lunch time can be quite busy though, but their service is always good no matter how busy they are.

I came here for Taco Thursday. I ordered three tacos, and two more after I had my first batch! The taco here is great, it’s not super big though. The service is really friendly, feels like a family business with genuine care for customers. I have only been here once so I don’t know about consistency and such.

My boyfriend and I go here really regularly. We’re completely hooked on the street style tacos. I’ve had various plates too, which were good. Plus, $ 1 Taco Thursdays! Sometimes they get orders slightly wrong — dunno why. It’s never enough to keep us from coming back. So tasty! We love you Rock N Salsa! :)

According to Unilocal,3 stars means«A-OK,» which is exactly what Rock N Salsa is. The staff is super friendly and was able to patiently explain the menu to me, but I was overwhelmed by the the actual restaurant and the food itself. They have a salsa bar, which was totally empty… it hadn’t been restocked in a while and was actually pretty gross. This was unfortunate because I ordered Chips and Salsa but there was no salsa on the bar to eat my chips with so I had to ask at the counter. They got me some and then went to restock the salsa, which should have been done but no biggie! Another thing that kinda turned me off is that I would guess there are 10 tables in the restaurant and 3 of them were occupied, leaving me 7 to choose from… however all 7 of them were dirty so I had to sit a dirty table to eat which was annoying. I ordered some Carne Asada which was very good and authentic. Nothing earth shattering or original by any means, but it was done very well. Overall, the food was good but a dirty restaurant is not somewhere I want to eat all the time. I’d definitely come back, but I won’t go out of my way for it.

Unless you love(and I mean LOVE) lime, don’t order the Chile Verde Burrito here. I personally don’t, so I was disappointed when it was ALL I could taste. So much lime that the salsas couldn’t mask the flavor, and I tried them all. Charging .50c for a tiny bag of chips was pretty absurd as well.

The food is pretty good here, I’ve came several times and it’s always fresh. I’ve had a Carnitas burrito it was delicious, the Asada tacos are pretty good too. I had the carmaon Diablo today that was good too. On days that I work I call ahead and they will have my order ready when I get here. They only thing I don’t like is they do not serve alcohol

I give this place 5 stars because the food here is so finger licking good. And there not stingy on the food either. When they give you the plate of food they jam pack it on there for you. And not to mention great customer service there super friendly and they try super hard to remember your name there when you are a frequent visitor. The best people and the best food in town youll never be disappointed there. And just a tip on the inside order you food before lunch hour hits call them up and order because it gets super crowded and nowhere to sit. But again i asure you its super worth it i love it there

This placed used to be good then the food quality together with customer service took a dive into oblivion. First time I tried them the carne asada burrito was superb. The meat & everything in the burrito melded in synch that only translated to awesome deliciousness. However, in three recent visits two to three weeks apart, it was just horrible. The burritos, tacos, & quesedillas were all watery. It was nasty and the taste was bland. I felt the passion for food making was out the door in the previous months after 2015. A huge chunk of what this place made it a rocking mexican place had taken a vacation with no word of coming back. Furthermore, the guy taking the orders with apron on was rude when asked about how was the taste of the mexican food they make was not the same anymore. He countered on a loud tone that«It is how it is supposed to be!» I was like wtf! So you mean it was made like that since you guys started the business which I am sorry to disagree. At first, it seemed you guys used to make food that customers really like. Now, this place makes food that is mediocre and you guys are alright with mediocrity? Ehhh scratch this place. They have completely lost their way.

My coworker has been coming here forever, but I have never had the time to swing by and try it. Since we’re moving the office this week, I made sure to try it while I was in the area. Hubs and I ended up getting a super burrito with carne asada and I got 2 super tacos – one with carne asada and one with al pastor. Hubs said his burrito was great and I was so happy that I didn’t have to share my tacos because OMG. The carne asada was pretty good(can’t go wrong with old faithful), but the al pastor was AMAZING. It wasn’t spicy, but did have a little kick of spices(does that make sense?). I’m sure other people will say it had no spice at all, but since I have zero tolerance, it was perfect for me. They have a variety of items on their menu and the prices are really reasonable. Too bad we’re moving, but I’ll be back if I’m in the area.

This place seems really popular during lunch time. I came at around 12:30 and there were so many people in line. Lunch is only an hour so I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make it back on time. I came here on a Thursday for $ 1 tacos and when I tried to order carne asada tacos, the meat wasn’t ready. The cashier told me Colorado beef was similar and I tried it. I still like carne asada better. From the time I ordered to the time I got my food, it was half an hour. It’s really not a place for a quick lunch, but I can’t complain when it’s $ 1 tacos! The tacos taste good, about the same as every other place. Nothing special, typical taco you can get anywhere. The restaurant has a lot of seating which is great, but usually there are so many people during lunch it is hard to even get a table. Overall, I would come back but maybe after work so I’m not in such a rush to finish my food and rush back.

I had the fish tacos, and a side of rice & beans… The tacos were pretty good, although I’m used to the fish being breaded & fried, I enjoyed them. The spicy sauce they use could be more spicy, and the tacos automatically coming with guacamole included is awesome! The rice & beans were a tad bland, but when eaten on top of the corn chips they have, it was pretty good. Service was great, the guys there were really nice & my take-out order came out pretty quickly too!

Blah, this place was a bit disappointing. Came during my lunch break from CPR and first aid class, and wanted to get 2 carne asada tacos, but they were cooking it and said it wouldn’t be ready anytime soon. Had to get the marinated pork and chicken instead. Wasn’t great. The salsas made it taste better. It was cheap though so I didn’t feel like money was wasted on mediocrity. Afterwards, I returned to CPR class only to feel like I’ve been drugged. I couldn’t keep my eyes open! I don’t know if they use MSG, but that’s what it felt like. Around 5pm that day, I had a bad stomachache and felt nauseous. Won’t be going back

Rock N Salsa is good but it won’t knock your socks off. If I could best describe RNS, it’s an ideal place to grab a bite on your lunch break. I would never think to hit this place up on my days off or for dinner. Is there better Mexican food in the area? Absolutely. I’d hit up Tacos Negris, Salsa Picante or Casa De Meza before I go to Rock N Salsa. But hey, don’t let that discourage you from trying this joint. The staff is really nice and the place is clean. It’s not a whole-in-the-wall Mexican spot but the food hovers between decent to good. RNS claims they serve real authentic Mexican food. I mean, it’s written in big bold letters on their menu for crying out loud. However, if you’re like me and you’ve had REAL Mexican food then you’d know that«real authentic» doesn’t fit this this place’s description. However, they make a worthy and valiant effort. I also have to mention that Mexican is quite possibly my favorite cuisine. It’s always in my top 3 with Chinese(depending on the region. i. e Shichuan, Hunan, etc.) and either Thai or Korean. I was born and raised in SoCal. When you have the chance to experience bombass Mexican food for over 30 years, like I did when I lived down South than you should know why my standards are so high. RNS has a pretty good salsa bar. It’s not great as far as variety but their sauces are pretty good. This is where they excel at. Not kidding, all their salsas had great flavor. Very comparable to some of the best Mexican joints I’ve ever been to. Their pickled jalepenos and carrots are delicious — make sure to grab as much as you can. They’re not too spicy but pack great flavor. I have to give this place two big thumbs up for putting together such a great salsa bar. CARNEASADAPLATE ~ 3 stars ~ $ 10.59: Served with refried beans, Mexican rice, guac and shredded lettuce, this meal looked and appeared to be a winner. However, the asada was a bit dry and very bland. But it’s nothing a little salsa can’t fix. What I loved most about my plate were the refried beans. The flavor was amazing. I’m not sure how they make them but I’m sure it has either crack or some other kind of addicting substance in there. I was SO bummed when I finished my beans so I started taking some off of Sandy’s plate. SCORE! CHILEVERDE ~ 3.5 stars ~ $ 10.59: This was absolutely better than my asada. I’ve always loved chile verdes and chile colorados. What beats tender cuts of meat simmered in a comforting sauce packed with flavor? Think chicken marsala at an Indian restaurant or a bolognese sauce at an Itaian joint. All the same principle. Flavor intensifies when they simmer for long periods of time. It also breaks down any protein you add in it to give you delicate morsels of heaven. Keep in mind that some places will dry out their meat, however, RNS got it right. This plate was also served with refried beans, Mexican rice, quac and shredded lettuce. If you’re in the area and you’re looking for Mexican. Don’t be afraid to check out RNS.

Meh, I was underwhelmed. I was in the area during lunch and was super feeling some Mexican breakfast food! I found this place, saw they had breakfast options and was all excited! Til I ordered… and the guy said they stop making breakfast in the morning(that was not listed on the menu, and most Mexican places I’ve been serve it all day). I was bummed but decided to order a carnitas burrito bowl. The bowl was not at all memorable. I’m impressed I remember enough to write a review. The carnitas flavor was ok. Nothing special. And it was a little too fatty for my taste. All of the other ingredients were pretty blah too. Don’t think I’ll be back.

I came here specifically because of their Unilocal reviews, and I was slightly disappointed and felt that this place was overrated. The first time I came here for lunch, I ordered their Super Burrito; which I thought was overpriced. It wasn’t that big, and I felt the burritos at Super Taco & Mi Pueblo in Fremont tasted better. When I pay over $ 8 for a burrito to go., I expect it to taste better than the $ 6 burritos that I bought at Super Taco or Mi Pueblo Restaurant. The next time I came here, I waited for a Thursday since it’s their $ 1 taco day. The line was crazy!!! It took me 20 minutes to received my food by the time I paid & placed my order. I made sure of the time, since there were so many people who ordered before me. After I received my tacos, they were very small. It’s no surprise since they were only $ 1 each. The disappointing part was that they tasted just okay. Nothing special at all. I had better tacos at Chipotle. Based on how long I had to wait(20 minutes), these $ 1 tacos weren’t worth it. The food was decent, but they’re not worth the wait. I will come back here again, but ONLY during their non-peak hours. If I come here for lunch, I’ll make sure to come here around 11am, or after 1pm. As for their burritos, I may order them again, but only after a discounted price.
