For warning to people who go here… I went to eat here for lunch and I had been given a gift card to eat here from last year. First off, the service in the beginning was fine… the person who sat me was nice and the lady who bussed my plates was nice. Although the food was really worn and torn. Maybe i can too late since it was late lunch, but all the food was swimming in oil. The sushi was barely sushi since what was being made was this huge clump of rice with a thin piece of salmon. And the others seemed as if it was made the day before and then put out too long. It was dry and it had that dry skin on the rice when its been out too long. The only plus i can say was my busser was cute… hahaha. As I only came there cuz of my gift card, the guy who sat me said we dont take this card anymore… so I ended up paying over $ 10 for some really bad«asian» food. As a chef I can see how sysco can be so profitable… pretty much all these buffet restaurants live off of them and make a huge profit from food that was made for school/prison institutions and now being served to the public. I should buy some sysco stocks because I’m sure they wont be going down any time soon. I did not like this restaurant!

This is more of a seafood buffet, so not really my kind of place since I’m allergic. But other that, the food that I was able to eat was ok. Nothing spectacular by any means. It could be the fact that I couldn’t eat all that was offered, so I guess giving it a 3 star review isn’t too fair. I’m sure if you are a big seafood eater, you will enjoy this place. Don’t necessarily judge it on what I wrote. Check it out for yourself and try it.

This place was an absolute disappointment… The food here is bland. There is no better way to explain it. Chinese buffets are a dime a dozen, and quality and taste are somewhat uniform at most of these places. Everything here disappointed, except for my noodle dish from the barbecue. Problem with that, though, was that I had to wait 20 minutes for somebody to man the station to cook it!!! The restaurant is clean, but the service seemed confused. I doubt I’d come back here even if somebody else was paying. There are much better options out there…

It’s an all you can eat Chinese buffet, and prices keep dropping because nobody wants to go there anymore, bu the food don’t get any better. It’s the same Chinese food you’ll see at fast food restaurants and then some. Lo mein, fried rice, fried and dry fried chicken wings, everything FRIED, and bad soup, even fried nuggets that taste nothing like nuggets. All my favs, all so wrong. The only thing worth waiting for is probably the crab that runs out pretty quick but even then I don’t even bother with it because some douchebag hoards all of it before anyone else can and then you’ll have to wait for the next time the chefs place them out again. I find myself grabbing a whole bunch of stuff(everything), taking a small bite, then spitting it back out or leaving it on my plate with a napkin over it and then going back to find some more hopeful food. Giving up on the food, I then head to the dessert area for something I believe could not be messed up but somehow you do! WHY?! The only thing that’s right here is the ice cream machine. Eat it plain, eat it with sprinkles, but this is all you’re going to eat here that won’t make you angry. 2 stars for the ice cream!

Not the BEST buffet out there but OMG why would I complain about the price for what you get, it is AH-MA-ZING! I went here with my co-workers for lunch and it wasn’t packed. The choices of food were good but not THAT big. Some food were better than other like the steam fish was very good, the mongolian bbq is tasty but not enough«seasoning/sauce» to make it a great bbq. They had sushi which was awesome but it wasn’t as tasty as Kome’s. The staff here was friendly and awesome, we got everything we needed and the staff kept our drinks filled. I would def come back if it weren’t so far away and if i was in the away. I do recommend this place if you are really hungry cause you can definitely get your worth of $ 10.

It sucks to give this place such a low rating because this actually used to be one of my favorite buffets back then. The quality here has been on a decline the past year or so. Plus, they took out my favorite item which was their baked crab meat. :( 2.5 stars, but I might still give this place another chance someday.

Came here over the weekend with my big-ass family; there were twelve of us. We were sat at a large and accommodating table not too far from where the action was(relatively close to the food). There were many dishes to choose from, although some of them were not labeled correctly, you could pretty much spot those easily. The service was great. Every single time I went up for round two, I would return back to my seat with a clean table and more water in my glass. My fortune was awful. It wasn’t even a fortune. Sometimes I think those fortune tellers aren’t even trying anymore. That wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. The quality and service was great, especially for the price! :D

I come here once a week for lunch, since its about a 2 minute walk where I work. They have a lot of variety of food, but nothing that will grab your attention – regards to taste, not the selection. The food is just«Okay». I haven’t had any bad experiences here… yet. and I think I been here over 50 times. Its just convenient at times, when I’m super duper busy. Yeah, I know. I’m crazy for visiting one buffet this many times. I usually stop going to buffets if the food gets me sick. Happened once but the place is gone now.GOOD. The manager and the waiters/waitresses are nice; good service for a buffet. they always check on your frequently to make sure your dishes are taken away, and that you get your refills. I would have rated them higher, but one thing that gets to me is their interior. Usually the interior of a restaurant does not bug me. But the tables and seats and carpet are Dirty and sometimes difficult to ignore. Also, they need to replace their cups– you know its old when they’re chipping/cracking/and the fonts are fading. =P You would probably want to avoid this place, if you want cleanliness. =P But if you want okay seafood at a very cheap price(that won’t get you sick), then I would recommend this place.

I have little faith in Pan Asian joints, because they usually suck given that the chefs are not specializing in a cooking style. This is an issue here at PB as well– all the dishes are just mediocre, and sometimes borderline gross. Sushi? not too fresh, average i would say. Stuffed shrooms and bell peppers? Good until my 2nd or 3rd, then i have to force the rest down. Desserts? Not too bad– tasty and unlimited. They used to have a fondue fountain here which was a cool attraction, but they took it out when a 4 year old child tragically drowned in it after falling in. Service? Waiter MO typical for this type of place. Grumpy, hate serving you, hate life, never learned how to smile, probably pours Clorox into the soda fountains when no one is looking. Smell? The place smells like fresh water fish tanks. Not very appetizing. Maybe if you’re a bear.

I have been to many Chinese buffets like this one in the area so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, it was still below my expectation. I wasn’t impressed by the selection and I was grossed out by the sashimi here. I didn’t expect super fresh sashimi from a Chinese buffet, but it was just way too fishy and inedible. The room I sat at had this funky smell that wasn’t exactly appetizing. On the plus side, I actually thought the service was friendly and nice. Yes, you do get what you pay for, but I have to say there are other better Chinese buffets in the same price range. Even though I don’t dine at these type of buffets very often but I do recall better experience at Newark Buffet.

This place is expensive considering the fact that the food looks old and tastes gross! I came here a while back with my boyfriend for an early dinner. I really didn’t want to go, but he insisted that it was good. I was very skeptical. We walked in, the place was empty and it smelled old. I hated it already. The place wasn’t very clean. I remember feeling awkward because of my attempts to not touch anything peculiar or dirty. Their food selection was very poor and uncommon. I didn’t want to eat anything. Everything just looked old as if its been sitting there for hours and hours and hours. In the end, I should have trusted my intuition and I think my boyfriend changed his mind.

This place won by convenience since it was across the street from the library which opened at one. I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with the selection but the service is so attentive! In fact, these guys are loitering around waiting for stuff to do. They get a second star just for that. It was pretty average Chinese food like Kung Pao Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Mongolian Pork… etc. In fact, as another Unilocaler said, it was all edible but nothing that makes you want to gorge with a ravenous appetite. I can make better tapioca at home, and I don’t know what this rave about a chocolate fountain is because there was none. It comes in a crock pot. with a sign above telling people not to dip their ice cream in it. LOL I found this to be funny. The dark, austere interiors aren’t anything special either, despite the artistic detailed looking stone of the building’s exterior. The nail in the coffin for this place though was no cream for my coffee. The guy comes back with two packets of powdered creamer. Are you kidding me? No cream in a fully functional restaurant? He said there was none but, he brought me some milk in a tea cup. What a load of crap. I seriously cannot believe they order powdered creamer packets here. Maybe the chef doesn’t know that if you mix milk and whip cream you get half and half. LIke I said, I can make better tapioca.

Never had I wanted to review a place so badly… in order to prevent anyone who was checking this out on Unilocal considering the possibility of coming to this place. STAYAWAY. I hadn’t checked this place out on Unilocal before I went. Basically, when I got home, my wife wanted to eat out. I suggested Benihana(it’s been a while since I’ve been), but she suggested this place because my mom mentioned it was good. I had a moment of amnesia which caused me to forget that my mom cannot be trusted with food recommendations as she only eats 3 bites before she’s full, can’t each chicken or sushi and I highly doubt she knows any foods outside American, Asian and Italian. Anyways, we walk in and the place just feels dirty. The decorations are tacky and everything looks haphazard. I sit at the table with my son while my wife goes for the first round. As she’s sitting down, before she takes one bite, she says, this is the worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Well, I got for my first round and also get a plate of the mongolian stir-fry(which the cook conveniently forgot the noodles). I swing back to my table and my wife says even more forcefully, this is the WORST buffet food ever. And I ask, even worse than that place in San Leandro? She replies that that place is gourmet compared to this place. And she’s right. I have a smörgåsbord of the foods, and nothing is even remotely delicious. Most of it is edible, but just edible. And when I say most, I mean that certain things were inedible. Like the rangoons(or cream cheese won tons or whatever’s inside them), I couldn’t even bit through it to see what was inside. The shu mai looked like it had been sitting out for 12 hours. The«sushi» was a joke. There was nothing delightful about the meal save the glass of coke we got that we had to wait 5 minutes before it got refilled. Anyways, I can usually put a buffet out of business if I’m hungry enough. But this place killed my appetite. Maybe that’s their business model, make it so unappetizing that they stop eating into their«profits?» Just stay away. I’d rather get diarrhea from Hokaido than come here again.

Five stars for attentive service! We came for my brother’s birthday, just the five of us for a quiet dinner out. The staff must have heard us saying Happy Birthday to him because half way through our meal the«Happy Birthday» song comes on the loud speaker and the waitress comes with a candle lit dessert! My family all looks at each other, mouthing, «did you tell them?» Turns out no one in my family did, the waitress just heard us greet him and took initiative to sing. It was a nice surprise! My brother really enjoyed that. Food was typical — basic chinese buffet fare to include an abundance of seafood! Oysters, King Crab, Sushi Bar and Crawdads.

WHATEVER. Highly overrated. My parents useD to love this place. They loved the«fresh» seafood. sure sure. I went here for Father’s Day, normal weekends, Birthdays, and also my graduation –_-. I’ve lost a bracelet there too, and lost my sanity. The food is mediocore. BLEHHH. Been here way too much. My ex got food poisoning twice from the oysters + sashimi.(so no go on raw stuff people !) They raise the price to liek 18 for fathers day. I admit it. still cheap and affordable. but food is ehhhh.

Came here for my dad’s birthday this past Sunday. Got there pretty early so the food was still hot and fresh. I’m usually not an early dinner person so buffet isn’t usually good for me cuz by the time I get there, the food is what is left. So anyways back to the restaurant. I gave it 3 stars because the food was decent and for $ 15/person, it isn’t bad and the atmosphere is. typical Asian buffet. This place is just like every other buffet that you’ve been to except they have more seafood than the others. If you like seafood, this place is for you. There were crabs, oysters, mussels, crayfish, etc. Food tasted good. Waiter guy was prompt and helpful. He cleaned our dishes as we finish so our table wasn’t full of dirty dishes. I did especially like the service at the«make your own noodle». The guy was extremely nice and friendly. Other than that, this place is alright. I would say I would come back again, but honestly I’m not a buffet person. I always feel that buffet places put something in their food to make you full faster because for some reason I never eat that much, when I usually eat A LOT.

I’ve been to too many buffets and I always only go back to Pacific because they have fresh seafood and yummy other dishes!!! Especially their crawfish~! OMG, it’s so delicious in this low prices! Can’t get the same portion from Crawdaddy or Crawdad King, plus they have other delicious foods and soups! I see someone complained about their bathroom, yes — it’s not clean enough. But I don’t really care as long as I have the yummy foods that I want!

If you like seafood then this is the place. They have a wide variety of selections like at Todia for an affordable price. I used a 15% off coupon and with two drinks total with tip came out to $ 36 for two. Not bad deal considering it’s a Sat dinner buffet. Their popular selection is the hot crab legs. Their ginger scallion fried crab is pretty good too given that the crab was probably dead and frozen before being cooked. They have a wide selection of other foods, a lot better than other buffet places I’ve been to. For the price and seafood selection this place can’t be beat. Service was good as well since I had 3 soda refills and most non self refill buffet places I’ve been to, it’s hard to get a refill. They have chocolate fondue with marshmallows or strawberries. The chocolate is actually in a crock pot not one of those fountain things. Dessert selection is kind of skimpy but acceptable.

I came here for a graduation luncheon. I wasn’t expecting much as I figured it was just another asian buffet. I suppose with low expectations, Pacific Buffet actually made me a fan. While they offer most the same as the rest, more than your average asian buffet, they do have more of a selection, tastier and fresher fare. It doesn’t look like it’s been sitting out all day. And with the traffic they’ve got, they have to constantly replenish. Notables: Baked Mussels, Fried Octopus, Kalbi, Sauteed Mushrooms, String Beans, Stuffed Mushrooms, Eggrolls. Of course they have the obligatory«sushi» bar which really simply offered rolls. Interestingly enough, it looked like a variety, but upon examining, they all had the same exact ingredients in the rolls, just packaged differently. They also offer a handful of dim sum items, mongolian bbq, a section devoted to fruits, and desserts. One of the main reasons I will come back is the chocolate fountain with the strawberries and marshmallows on skewers. Nice sized, sweet strawberries with decent quality chocolate that hardens after you coat your strawberry. What a plus! It doesn’t leave the runny, goopy mess on your plate! Loved their soft serve cones too — the ice cream was milky, just how I like it. Filling meal with above average quality and delicious desserts to finish it off!
