The taco with pork is so good. My children like the cheese quesadilla. The service is good too and he always talk politely.

Best 16 inches I’ve ever had. The carne asada was delicious in my burrito, as were the rice and refried beans. I love how they have half liter Mexican cokes cause everything Mexican is definitely better!

This used to be the spot for the Esmeralda truck for many years servicing this area. It is now(has been for a while) Ofelias, not sure if it is a total change of ownership or just a change in signage. Which by the way their new paint job on the truck is very modern and cool. There is also truck #2 in the Irvington District in Fremont, also called Ofelias. So it appears you can tie past Tacos Esmeralda reviews to this one. Or past Tacos La Perla reviews with the Irvington location. It seems people would post more out of location, rather than the name on the truck. Tacos still legit here. But they have 2 tiers for pricing. Carne Asada, carnitas, pastor are still $ 1.50 per, while lengua, tripas and chicharones are $ 2 per. They are tiny, like 2 n a half biters. But they are proper. My faves are the tripas and chicharones as they crisp them properly here. Outside of that, everything else here seem to be just on par, in which there is nothing wrong with that. I find the guys working here to be quite friendly. And there always seems to be people in line, so the product moves. Which is a big plus in my book.

This truck is located near what i would consider downtown fremont. In the afternoons its not busy at all however, they do run out of food, for example when i went they ran out of nacho ingredients. This was around 6pm I ordered a monster burrito and tacos. Both were carne asada(steak) the burritos were HUMONGOUS. But other than that its NOT worth the money at all. I got little meat and way more rice than anything else. Tacos. Were AMAZING. The spices on the meat were delicious and i didnt even have to use sauce. The meat was cooked well. Not over done at all. If anything id come back and buy 5 more. I believe the burritos were around $ 6 – 8 and the tacos were $ 5 and they come with 2.

Best tacos in Fremont hands down! They also have great burritos and tortas. We are lucky enough to be down the street which is great and has made this our go to place for a quick taco. My hubby is a big fan of the carnitas and tripa tacos. I stick to the Al Pastor. The baby is a fan of the chicken. All around this is a hit!

1st of all, i just want to say that their tacos were really small that cost 1.50. I was surprised at how small they were. I got in total of 5 tacos, so it came out to be $ 8 for togo. They wrapped it in a tin foil wrap, and right on there i could tell that the proportions were really small. 2nd. Their service is bad, when i ask the cashier guy a question he replied back with a loud«HUH??!» And other questions were answered back with a nod with no voice action what soever. 3rd. I would give them 2 stars but i gave them an extra star because of their chicharron tacos and how they made their carne asada. Not a lot of Mexican food trucks offer chicharron tacos, so i gave them an extra star for uniqueness. Overall, i wont be coming back anytime soon but only for the chicharron tacos.

Meh. Purchased — Veggie Burrito Carne Asada Taco Deal breakers — No whole beans option? No avocado?! I hate to say this, but is seems they put very little effort into their food, just standard tacos with standard ingredients. Asada tacos mean grilled — not just cooked The Good — Decent rice Salsas were surprisingly good Clean Good Service(guy was very patient with my frustration) If you wants tacos just to eat tacos come here — if you want a more delicious authentic taco experience you may want to skip it(I know a good Mexican taco when I eat one) I have eaten worse — but overall just didn’t feel it was worth the calories ;-) I would rate 2.5 stars if I could.

This is my favorite taco truck! Everything is great here. My favs torta, tacos, burrito, quesadilla it’s all delicious. Meats are all delicious as well: pollo, Carne Asada, al pastor, all yum! Price is getting out if hand though. Prices should be truck prices! Food gets 4 stars Because prices went up so much they overall get 3 stars I hope they read this review. I used to come by here at least 1x a week now maybe 1x a month. If anyone else has done the same they are losing some serious money by raising the price so much. No bueno for anyone

Seeing that Unilocalers gave this place 4.5 stars, I had really high expectations. I was slightly disappointed. A friend of mine told me these were basically the best tacos he ever had, they were not. They were decent. I had the lengua, pastor, and carne asada tacos. Its probably the greasiest tacos I’ve ever had. $ 1.50 per taco. I’m giving this place 4 stars because the service was great. The owner is really nice. I still plan to come back here and give this place another chance by maybe trying out the quesadilla or super burrito next time.

My favorite quesadilla of all time! This is my go to truck for Mexican food. You’ll find it on Thornton across from dales, within a bunch of used cars. *huge burrito that can probably feed 3 people *quesadilla: love love love. Generous with the meat and the tortilla is so light and crispy * the cook/owner is really nice and speedy * carne Asada: perfectly seasoned. A lot of meat NOT fat I’ll be coming back for sure!

This is where Tacos Esmerelda once was. Who knows, maybe it’s the same truck, different name? In any case… I’ve been loyally spending my money here for well over 10 years. However, I’m disappointed in the price hike considering the portion size. A buck fiddy for a regular taco and two dowluh for the lengua? Not incredibly expensive, but it is a huge increase —- and they still remain tiny as ever. The food is tasty, don’t get me wrong, but I definitely can get more for my money(and just as good of quality) elsewhere. Sigh. Summertime sadness.

Ofelias Taqueria Truck is in a dirt lot on thorton ave almost adjacent to a corner commercial strip. eats: el pastor burrito(5) –passed on lenqua since it’s 6 now. –lots of fresh rice, beans, not a lot of meat, tasty yes. –5 stars for a good value. 4ish stars since no chips, salsa, sour carrots given. take outs: –burrito came within minutes. –lots of parking in dirt lot.

I thought I wrote a review here? Whoops, probably wrote a review for the wrong place! Anyways, BESTTACOS I’ve found around the Union City area. These tacos are on a different level. Juicy, tasty, savory, flavorful meat. OMG. How do they make such perfection? I can easily eat 5 tacos in 5 minutes. Yes… $ 1.25 per taco the last time I came here. I recommend getting carne asada or the CHICARRONTACOS! Omg the pork rinds add a fantastic crunchy taste to the juicy taco. I recommend sticking with the tacos. I’ve had the nachos here and the chips were stale, the meat didn’t taste as good with the chips. I always add a bunch of hot sauce and jalapenos, so the tacos get too big but I somehow manage to make it fit. In comparison to other places like Urupan, etc… these tacos WIN. IDKWHY, you just have to taste the meat and savory goodness to find out! I recommend this taco truck to everybody! It’s always chilling across the street from Suju’s coffee.

Over the past year or so, I’ve been spending a good part of my day in this part of town, and although I’ve always noticed this taco truck parked across the street from Dale Hardware, I’ve never felt compelled enough to try it. I was in a pinch for time the other day, and I finally decided to give Ofelia’s a whirl. Let’s just say that this here taco truck has now become my new go-to spot whenever I’m in a hurry. Okay, fine… it has become my new go-to spot, PERIOD. For a mere $ 1.50, you get a hearty, ample taco with your choice of meat, from the usual suspects of pollo, carne asada, carnitas, pastor, plus some that are not always available elsewhere, such as chicharrón(fried pork rinds) and tripa(tripe). I usually load up on about five of these babies for a nice, hearty, yet not overly filling meal. The tortillas are heated to the perfect crisp, while the meat retains a good amount juiciness. Burritos are also plenty delectable, and run a cool five bucks. You can add extra meat for a mere dollar more(or $ 1.50 depending on who’s working). The skin is also slightly crisped, and I like how it is not too thick. One ever so slight fault is that they are not as densely packed as some burritos found elsewhere, so do be careful not to let the contents flop all over the place. There is plenty of parking in this old lot between a used car dealership and a strip mall, and also a few wooden planks set up like park benches under the trees, making it the perfect backdrop to enjoy your tasty meal.

I picked up my friend from work and she was craving tacos. I searched on Unilocal for good taco trucks. According to the 5 star reviews. These are the best tacos ever. I disagree with the reviews. These aren’t the best tacos ever. The tacos were good but not the best. Al pastor was alright. It didn’t taste like real al pastor should taste like. Asada, Cabeza, Lengua and Tripa were good. The tortillas were soggy. I think it was from the liquid the salsa releases. It ended up making a small puddle on our plates and they are $ 1.50 each :( I’ll probably return to try their burritos and maybe edit my review. Taqueria Sinaloa in Oakland are the BESTTACOSEVER. I highly recommend it to the regulars at this location. I’ll even include the address 2138 International Blvd, Oakland, CA94606

Did you say Chicarron(pork rinds) in my tacos? YESPLEASE! Another hidden taco truck gem of the East Bay! My bro in law asked if I’ve ever tasted a chicarron taco. I replied, no but I’m interested in trying it. We came here on a Saturday afternoon, no lines what so ever. The menu had reasonable pricing and a wide variety of food choices. I got all giddy and wanted to order everything off the menu, but I know that my stomach wouldn’t be able to handle it. So, I order some for now and some for later. I got the following: — 2 Chicarron tacos — 1 Al pastor taco — 1 Carne asada taco — 1 Carne asada quesadilla — 1 Chicarron super burrito The chicarron in the tacos and burrito were crunchy and freshly cooked. The carne asada and al pastor meats were tender and full of flavor! All the meats were very tasty. The tacos, quesadilla, and burrito could have been devoured without the meats in them as well. The meats just complimented these dishes to a whole other level. I guess this place is no «Secret» anymore. Oh yeah, ***CASHONLY***

Maybe it was growing up in California. Maybe it was working in Mexican food restaurants for nearly 10 years. Or maybe it’s just that it tastes so damn good, but I love Mexican food. I love it all, but when I come here I only get one thing, carnitas tacos. They are unbelievably good. Super simple and straight forward, just carnitas, cilantro and onions in a pair of corn tortillas. Add to that some of their salsa and a squeeze of fresh lime juice and you have the best tacos anywhere. I don’t know how they prepare their carnitas, I’m pretty sure there is black magic involved, but it really is fantastic and perfectly balanced with the other combination of ingredients. I wish I could tell you about some other items on their menu, but the only thing I know is that they have a lot of other things there. I’ve been going here for a long time and I haven’t ever been strong enough to veer away from the carnitas tacos. Give it a try!
