This could be the worst pizza I have ever had. The sauce was gross and the crust was like cardboard.

The WORST pizza ever. If I good rate ‘ZERO’ stars, I would… I believe that it should be illegal to call yourself ‘New York Pizza’ and turn out a product like this place. We took a chance on this new place and it didn’t work out from the order to the product. First, they burned my first pizza and needed to remake. Then, after we got home, we had to throw this pizza in the garbage and order Chinese. Listen, I don’t expect a California restaurant to come close to New York pizza, but come on! This place in Fremont needs NOT to call themselves New York Pizza… Nasty, nasty, nasty!!! It’s a crime!!! Next time, I am going to fight the my laziness and drive to Three Guys Pies… www.threeguyspies.net/.

I’m from NY. This not NY pizza… I should say not a NY pizza experience. I never got the pizza. Asked for 2 slices, paid for two slices, saw the inept dude behind the counter write down 2 slices…15 minutes later(yes, just for slices), 1 slice came off the conveyer belt. Yes, I said conveyer belt, it’s not an actual oven. Paid $ 5 because the same inept dude couldn’t make change and he wouldn’t put the slices on the belt until he was done with the transaction. Turns out the only thing NY about this pizza is the NJ recipe. We all know that the water is a huge part of what makes NY pizza NY. They only use local water, and not after reverse osmosis. Like I said, I never got to taste the pizza, but not optimistic about it. Operation they’re is clueless. Also, same inept dude couldn’t get the pizza slice off of the hot tray so the one slice that came out was pressed against a cement wall so he could get a spatula underneath it. Looking around the place, wasn’t sure I wanted to eat it, so I just left. Probably worth spending the $ 5 just to get out of there without getting sick.

I really held off on my review because despite the horrible takeout pizza we received, the manager we spoke with was incredible nice and accommodative. However, about a month ago we ordered a pizza for delivery that was more than an hour and a half late but was also uneatable and stuck to the paper underneath it. After we received it, we called back to say it was a heap of papery disaster that wasn’t ingestible and the manager was rather sweet. He said to call back any time and we could get a free pizza. Since it was very, very late(1.45hrs later) at this point we ate something else and fell asleep. During the holidays(a month later) we ordered another pizza and referenced the free credit we’d been given from literally the manager, but we spoke to someone named Avi who was possibly the rudest food service employee I’ve spoken to this year. He told us he would give us a «good deal» but that there’s no way we’d be given a free pizza because he would have to phone the owner and he refused to do so. I’m sorry, but given the situation we should have long ago had some sort of note or credit put on our address/phone number account to indicate we have a credit. As such, it is your business who has fallen short and it is on you to follow through with what you promised since we were left to eat something else the last time we ordered(despite the fact that we paid for a large 14″ pizza). We had a credit and having spoken with Avi for 15 minutes about ordering said free pizza, we were disputed until we were blue in the face. My sister and her boyfriend have been exceedingly kind in their opinion of this place but I, personally, refuse to order from this awful establishment again as their pizza is cold, their staff is rude and ill-informed, and the owner/manager does not organized the place in a way that allows for efficient customer service. It’s a bummer, since we live close. But we will not order from here again. We advise you don’t either.

Do not order anything supposedly edible from this establishment. It is the worst. I have had multiple interactions with this place and waited a month to write a review hoping it would be redeemed. The first pizza I ordered took an hour to be delivered, but only after I aggressively tracked down the delivery person who couldn’t even figure out what side of the street to be on(given Google maps or odd numbers being on one side and even numbers being on the other side) more than half an hour after the estimated delivery time. After I finally walked quite a bit down and across the street to pick up the pizza, when I opened it at home, the pizza was obviously undercooked when it left the restaurant because it was all stuck to the pizza box. After all of this experience, I tried again to order another pizza, given that the manager had offered a free pizza in response to the first experience. Instead, I ended up just being argued with by an employee named Avi(who seems to have also written two positive 5-star fake reviews to this business). With my 20 years of life experience ordering pizzas, I have two firsts: 1) most disgusting pizza I’ve ever looked at after opening a pizza box, and 2) worst experience I’ve ever had trying to have a conversation with a restaurant about trying to rectify a bad encounter.

WORST. PLACE. EVER. We ordered a veggie pizza a few weeks ago and the owner — I believe — contacted us to tell us they didn’t have zucchini and asked what we would like instead, which was nice. We sorted it out and confirmed the delivery. However, the pizza was delivered almost 2 hours later(an hour late), COLD, the crust was almost entirely UNCOOKED& stuck to the box(pictured), SOGGY, generally terrible and basically inedible. SHORTVERSION: The customer service that followed was atrocious and the food was the worst I’ve ever had, AVOIDATALLCOSTS. LONGVERSION: We called immediately to inform the restaurant of the issue, and talked with the same man(the owner) again. He apologized and said that we could come in and get a fresh one. But by this point in the evening, it was almost two hours later that we’d anticipated eating, we’d been drinking wine and did not want to go down to a random pizza place — hence ordering delivery. The man we spoke to was very nice, and said no problem, that instead we could come in or call anytime and get a free pizza or «be taken very good care of» and get«good deals.» Because this was slightly unclear to me, I very specifically confirmed: So, in the future, we can come in to the restaurant and receive a free, new pizza, since the once we got was uncooked and inedible? The man confirmed: Yes. Additionally asked if he needed to write my name or order number down, and he said«No, just come in or call and we will give you a new pizza.» So, I said okay and moved on. I wanted about 3 weeks, since I was traveling and didn’t order pizza again. However, when my boyfriend called to claim this promised free pizza, all hell broke loose. He spent no less than TEN minutes on the phone with a man named Avi. Avi, perhaps only trying to do his job, said that he could not give us a free pizza and had no record of this situation. I don’t know whose fault it is exactly, but if you promise a free pizza in exchange for terrible delivery and even worse quality pizza, you better write down whatever you need to write down in order to follow through on that. I’m not asking every random employee to give a free pizza to any person who calls asking for one, but if you don’t want to incite anger and frustration among already dissatisfied customers, WRITEITDOWN. This insane 10 minute conversation ended without us being able to order a pizza and instead with us having paid for a large pizza we didn’t even eat and receiving nothing in return. I initially waited to write a review because the manager/owner had been so nice and seemingly helpful, I thought the situation could be remedie. I wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt and hope that, when I got my future pizza, all would be well with the world.

I understand why this place gives free delivery. Also, their phone line is always busy or off the hook. Their pizza dough is horrible, their delivery service is ridiculously slow. We waited literally 2 hours for our food. We ordered a medium sized pizza, by the time it got to us we had COLDFREAKINPIZZA! The ingredients were poor quality. We also ordered some bbq wings and I swear they were the wings from the grocery store in the frozen aisle(i’ve had them before and know what they taste like) I’m sure others notice also. I also ordered a Caesar salad and it clearly was NOT romaine lettuce, it was a mixture of other greens, and they gave us 3 types of dressing, none of which were CEASAR!!! Order here if you want over priced POOR quality food.

Took 3 hours for them to deliver my pizza. And they screwed up the order :/never again. The pizza itself wasn’t horrible atleast. One star for that. I should’ve looked at their reviews before I ordered.

Just waited over an hour(90 minutes to be exact) for a pizza delivery. Paid online and gave a tip online and the driver had the nerve of knocking on the door a second time to ask for a tip. I kid you not! Had to let him know that the tip was online but he was still standing there waiting for us to shell out some bills. We told him it was done online and to leave. Called the business right after and told them what happened. They said they were going to fire him. Not going to order from them again.

I had a good mini-pizza by casual 1990’s standards, or good if you’re on the run and need to eat in 15 minutes or less. Or less than less of that if they have a quick slice ready. There’s nothing artisan here, but if you’re an indiscriminate type at the moment it gets it done like it promises to get done. And they’re awfully nice here, although, once they make some more money they should fix it up and do a paint job here. #cheapeats

Never tried them before and thought i’d check out NY Pizza but the Combo pizza was soggy and missing some of the basic and requested toppings. I really don’t mind paying as long as I get what I ask for and the food is good but this was a very disappointing experience considering the price !! I will probably stick with Domino’s since they’ve never gotten any of my orders wrong.

It says they’re under a new management. I am giving all of these stars to ramshi(i don’t know how to spell his name) he is very very nice! rather than one because they offered me a free small size Tuscany pizza and sodas for the mistake of making a whole all meat pizza rather than half Tuscany, half all meat. The guy was nice tho coz he still tried to offer but still the main point of me calling for pick up and them repeating the order on the phone is for these things to not happen.

BAITANDSWITCH! Attempted to order a pizza using a certificate purchased less than one month ago. I was told they would NOTHONOR the certificate because they were ‘under new management’. While it was true they had a banner which said ‘under new management’, the banner was tattered and faded from having been exposed to the elements for many, many years. This is clearly a case of bait and switch, with New York Pizza listing themselves on the site to lure customers, then refusing to honor the certificate purchased. DONOTPATRONIZETHISRESTAURANT!!!

Gas. This place smells like gas. I was going to eat here, but decided to take out because the kitchen fumes were so strong, which I guess explains why both doors to the place were wide open on this cold and windy April day. Tables are dirty. They don’t have pizza by the slice, which defies the point of New York style pizza. That’s all I wanted was a slice, but ended up getting a personal pan pizza instead– also not very New Yorky. The guy at the counter who took my order was trying really hard, which I appreciated– it’s not his fault. He just works here. The pizza itself was actually pretty good. I can’t tell if it was because I hadn’t eaten all day and it was practically dinnertime by the time I got here, or if it’s because it really was that good. I’m not going to be racing back here for more pizza, but I won’t cross it completely off of my list. I’m hopeful for a better experience when and if I ever return.

Tried this place for the first time and now I want to come back for more! Pizza is good, staff is friendly, especially the owner T is super duper nice! This place has been renovated recently and is now under new management. I have read a few reviews for this pizza shop, but they are all for the older one. This place is now a cleaner, better one I suppose. Expect me to come back very soon, New York Pizza!

The place was empty no customers. That should of been our first sign! We place our order small cheese pizza & small Calzone. We were told that it had to be Medium pizza & that they didn’t have calzone. We got the pizza less than 15min. The cheese was not cooked & the crust was under cooked dough. It was a mess to eat. I tasted it & it was awful. The sauce was bitter. The crust was under cooked & salty. We asked to cook it some more. Lost cause. We will never come back. I was raised in NY. The pizza here is nothin like NY! I had read the Unilocal reviews they were old but we said what the heck. It looks like it changed owners. There were no single slices. Any way don’t go here cause it’s bad. You live & learn.
