Coffee was so-so. Oatmeal was okay, but the portion was HUGE. My friend said the egg sandwich was great. We both agreed the coffee could use some work. The guy at the counter was a little grumpy, but Saturday mornings are hard for anyone who has to work.

FANTASTIC coffee! I’m from Seattle, and am VERY picky about coffee. I also get bad reactions to most coffee. This was exceptional coffee that I did Not get a bad reaction to. This is hard to find. Glad I found this place. I love the atmosphere, the funky furniture, and interesting décor. It made me feel comfortable and at ease. I love the spacious café area, with a lot of seating. The only reason I considered lowering the stars was their lack of gluten-free options, and when I spoke to someone about it, their total lack of concern over taking care of this growing part of the population. I guess the attitude was the worst. At least pretend to care, okay? The coffee was too good to mark down the review though, and I love supporting these wonderful hidden out-of-the-way local coffee shops. Everyone should stop here(and tell them to get something gluten-free on the menu). :)

I would actually give them 3 or 3.5 stars but I am glad Mission Coffee exists in a place like Fremont, so thank you, Mission Coffee. Sandwiches and coffee are good. Cookies are great! Can they not improve the furniture a bit? I understand that it could be intentionally quirky — all the weird tables and chairs. But… aren’t they a bit too old and sad-looking? Just sayin’. That won’t stop me from coming back though. Probably that’s the reason nothing is done about it. Oh btw — check out the little art gallery next door! I don’t know if they have exhibits regularly, but when we visited there was a cool skateboard art-themed exhibit.

Coffee is good. The décor is rustic. Have good breakfasts. They are in a great location. Why the 3 stars? The owner has a bit of a «Soup Nazi» attitude aka Seinfeld episode, lol. That attitude translates to their employees. Every time I come in here and order a drink, the workers here seemed pissed. They are always busy so not sure why the sour faces. Maybe that’s just their personalities. Good place just to chill for 30 – 1 hr.

At last! I’ve finally found a coffee house with enough seating room and casual atmosphere that you can actually be comfortable staying to chat and hang with friends or work/study in peace. In fact, it was refreshing to see that more folks were actually having conversations than pounding away at laptops — I’m all for everyone doing what they need to do, so Mission Coffee’s free Wifi is a definite boon — but to me a coffeehouse is a little sad if you can’t hear voices around the room murmuring in passionate conversation. My cold brew was perfect on a warm Sunday afternoon. The place was comfortably busy but not packed. My friend and I pounced on the comfy leather sofa — which was so comfy that we stayed longer than we’d planned, but no one made us feel anything but welcome. I’ll definitely return when I’m in the Fremont area; this coffeehouse is a local treasure that deserves my thirsty support!

Cozy and cute Fremont classic. I’ve been coming here since I can remember(I’m a Fremontonian by birth). Giant fresh cookies. Fresh roasted coffee. Good lunch-type items(soup, salad, sandwiches). Cozy place to chill out and read a book. And, lots of chances to enjoy live music. Why not toss that extra coin into the box for Sister John Marie’s Pantry, too?

Mission Coffee has a homey, small town feel. It’s a large coffee shop on Washington Blvd. Though the parking is very limited, Mission Coffee is definitely worth it. The drinks are delicious(especially the Chai frappé) and the small patio in the back definitely adds to the atmosphere. Also, drinks and snacks are cheap, and tax is included. Staff is friendly, and there are lots of seats. Some free shows on certain days too. Only complaint is that the staff makes the drink a bit slower than normal coffee shops. Would recommend.

I love coming here in the morning when it’s not packed with students. There is more space to study than your average Starbucks or Peet’s. Unfortunately they have limited street parking along with a small lot across the street. It’s nice to see that half the customers are here to chat. Not everybody is busy typing away on their laptop or listening to music. A Unilocal writer posted a picture of their menu less than a year ago from today. Note that prices have increased. Espresso 1.95, Americano 2, Latte 3.50 to name a few.

You know… I think people come here for reasons other than their coffee. I stopped here for a coffee fix and opted to bypass the 3 starbucks I passed along my route here because I wanted«real coffee house, coffee.» What a fool, I am. To be fair, they have a really nice patio, I think people come here to chill out, use their free wifi and have a place to study and grab a snack. Their drip coffee is brewed ahead of time and put in portable dispensers(as most places, I guess), but none of the varieties were good. Flavorless dark water that was luke warm. Terrible. Maybe their expresso concoctions are better, I don’t know, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back here to find out. I threw my «coffee» away after 4 sips. What a waste. We’re in a drought, after all.

limited parkings, free wifi and a good amount of seatings inside. Place isn’t the cleaniest and have the old vintage feel to it. I didn’t get the chance to explore the menu but they have a variety of selections. I opt for a cold brew. I came during a weekday, Tueaday and witness arts and decors day. I Would’ve enjoyed it if the hourly nail banging and machine screw weren’t so disruptive. I also got asked to move from my seat so they can put up the arts.

Having gone to high school in the area, Mission Coffee is a familiar coffee shop that I frequented when I needed somewhere to focus on my studying. They have a large menu of drinks located above the check-out counter and snacks like cookies and pastries available. While I can’t speak/review based on the quality of their coffee, I’m sad to have to leave a «just-okay» review based on the iced chai latte with soy that I ordered, it’s seriously just chai mix, ice, and dairy. I asked if it was possible to get the drink less sweet since I have a sensitivity for sweetness, and the guy said, «No, it’s pre-mixed… But I can add less chai mix.» The end product was chai-flavored soy milk, which I paid $ 4+ for. Disappointing! The overall atmosphere of the coffee shop is very laid back, seemingly going for a more vintage look and style, using 2nd hand wooden furniture and old couches as seating. There are also artwork pieces on the walls for purchase, from local artists(if you’re into that kind of stuff.) All in all, a nice place to study and grab a quick coffee with a friend. Drinks aren’t anything super spectacular in my opinion. Will update review if I try a different drink!

Always love supporting local coffee shops! Cute ambiance, nice staff, & coffee was delicious. The food was a little on the pricey side, but good price for the drinks

This café overall isn’t bad. Spacious, free wifi, quick service, decent coffee, and the set-up is reminiscent of a grandma’s living room. It’s a refreshing café perfectly nestled at the base of Mission’s rolling hills. From the front, you’ll enter through worn out swinging screen doors. The inside, you’ll see a mix of rustic mismatched furniture from the gold rush era. The various board games, hardbound books and ancient artwork give this place a LOT of character. So, yes it’s old, but it’s definitely one of those places that was purposely old to preserve its charm and comforting milieu. If you’re in the area, it’s a great place to work/read/meet up with people. Pros: –Atmosphere –Outdoor seating Cons: –Limited parking: there’s an open lot across the street but not much space –For mediocre cappuccinos, it’s quite expensive

I pray that the cool, vintagey feeling local coffee shops never die out. We already lost so many of our bookstores, record shops, etc. This is sort one of the last few great traditions. This place does not disappoint. Great coffee and tea selections. Eclectic furniture and ambiance. Plenty of light for a school/business meet up. Plenty of chill for a Tinder meetup. Don’t live in the area but would absolutely go back again if I was nearby.

Foods\drinks are served to you when you seat down in any table. Spacious w/a couch and broad games you can play for free. The staffs were friendly. Wished there were more chooses of foods, but overall it was delicious. This place feels like a dorm living room, where you’ll see different age group. There’s a public parking cross the road or street parking, wasn’t too crowded in the morning. Oh and there’s outside patio, but not much to see expect cars passing by.

This review is just for the food. I was super hungry when I rolled into Mission Coffee for lunch today. Usually when you’re really hungry ANYTHING tastes good, right? Sadly, not so much today… I had the Mission Turkey sandwich on sourdough with a side of potato salad. The sandwich has turkey, mayo, lettuce, walnuts and cranberry sauce on it. You would think this would equal lots of flavor, but… I didn’t taste anything. I kept biting into my sandwich and chewing slowly, searching for flavors. Couldn’t taste the bread, turkey or cranberry sauce. The only thing I could taste was the walnut. Everything melded together into blandness, which signals to me that low quality ingredients are used. Oh, and the potato salad was pretty decent and flavorful, so I know it wasn’t just my mouth today. Now, it’s not like I expect gourmet quality food wherever I go, but I thought maybe the sandwich would taste like SOMETHING. The price was also kind of expensive, $ 9.50 for the whole thing. I kept wishing that I had only ordered a half sandwich, but the half sandwich is only 2 dollars less so I thought it wasn’t the greatest value. The drinks and atmosphere may be nice here, but I can’t recommend the food.

I really really like the vibe in here. It’s no Portola or Devout but, dude, when you’re just looking to study and not bust a small fortune to get caffeinated, this is fantastic. Plus they serve food here. I repeat: THEYSERVEACTUALFOOD. The cashier/barista was super chill. It seems like a popular spot to do work and meet up with people, but it’s easy to see why. There are a lot of spacious tables and plenty of perimeter seats near outlets for laptops. It’s so quaint inside and you get that coffee-shop-productivity ambience without all the pretense that comes with so many coffee shops today. This sweet little gem near Mission San Jose is a definitely a community-oriented joint. Lots of local art on the walls and I even saw some local honey for sale and it looks like they have an open mic night of some sort. Come for the atmosphere and the amazing chocolate chip cookies. Don’t forget to bus your own table after you leave!

Mission coffee feels like a home away from home. In fact, this is better than my home because I someone brings me my order! Great coffee and lattes. Don’t expect much foam art but they are delicious all the same. The iced coffee is my drink of choice but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The food is also good. I usually order myself a bagel with cream cheese but went with their Saturday special cinnamon bun. The bun was about average, not too fatty and not too sweet. I plan on asking them to heat it up next time to get a better taste. The coffee shop has a great atmosphere. There’s usually a healthy mix of age groups here ranging from the seniors relaxing and reading the newspaper to high school students studying for their AP classes. I used to enjoy mission coffee less because it’s noisy but the background chatter turns into pleasant white noise to help me concentrate. This place is a 5 star establishment but I’m dedicating a star because their food prices are on the higher end for the quality.
