Angela of Memo’s is great. I had a couture wedding dress altered by her that I bought at a sample sale. It was a size 10, and I’m more like a size 2 – 4. I’d been to a couple places before I found her, some refused to do my dress saying it wasn’t even possible to alter it down that many sizes, and another place quoted me $ 50 more than the quote I received from Angela but they were very rude so I decided to keep looking. Glad I did! Not only did I get a reasonable estimate, but it was a painless procedure. I went in once to drop the dress off, again for a fitting and to pick up the veil(I had an antique veil retulled,) and then a 3rd time to pick up the dress. I was surprised it could fit with just really only 1 fitting, but Angela took careful measurements and called if she had questions. At first I was a bit apprehensive, as she works from home, like Sara mentioned, and she always seems to have little kids around during the day, not to mention a pet parrot. But my dress was spotless at pick up, and Angela and gone and done some spot treatments for me,(as I mentioned, it’s a sample dress so it wasn’t perfect), as well as ironing it out. She was all around very pleasant and easy to work with. No you won’t get a cute little dressing room and a huge full length mirror, but Angela is great at what she does and will deliver your alterations in a timely manner for a good price. Will post pics after the wedding!

First of all, when I went to pick up my husband’s suit, it looked like she took it to go hiking. There was dirt everywhere. I think she should pay me to get it dry cleaned. Anyway, the most important part is her substandard work. She obviously does not have much experience working with suits. The sleeves were not shortened properly. When I got there, the seams were still open. She said she forgot to tuck it in. The lining under the sleeves bunched up. She said they were supposed to be that way, otherwise my husband would not be able to move his arm. My mother is a tailor. I KNOW what proper alterations are supposed to look like. I guess next time I’ll have to get my mother to fix it. I really really regret bringing my husband’s suit to her. I can’t imagine trusting her with a wedding gown.

She was GREAT! Super nice and very efficient. I needed a bridesmaids dress altered and she was more than happy to help me out. Not only did she do the alterations I requested in a super timely manner, but she also went over the dress fixing loose beads and then pressed the dress, so it was ready to wear the second I picked it up. Her prices were totally cheap for the work I asked her to do and I would totally recommend her to anyone who needed alterations. She works out of her home, so that was a little odd at first because I was not aware of that fact, but it was really no big deal the second I met her and saw how friendly she was.
