My wife and I just keep coming back to this small and nice bakery. We love the variety of craft buns they have. you should definitely try their pork bun, pineapple bun, russian milk bun. All the items are in the range of 2 – 4 $. We ordered their fruit cake many times and that’s been our favorite. Next time may be we’d order the mango cake that’s been appreciated in many other reviews. best of all: try their sponge cake. it’s out of the world and addictive.

Wifey and I dropped in to quench a craving for a slice of blueberry cheesecake and boy it was sooooo FN good. The crust tasted like short bread cookie! Also got a slice of tiramisu and oooooh damn there was no holding back on the marscapone! I hope it stays consistent… Ill be back soon!

Their taro croissant was yummy. Flaky croissant with taro filling. Just a bit sweet for me but solid. i really want to try their fresh mango cake. It looked sooo good. too bad they do not sell it by the slice. I am sad about that.

Originally came here for green tea macarons but they weren’t in stock. I asked if they had anything green tea and the very helpful lady showed me this batch of fancy green tea mooncakes. I like the flaky crust and you can taste that they didn’t skimp on the green tea. Potent. I like it. $ 2.00++ for each though seems a little steep.

After going to one of the restaurants I wanted to purchase something sweet so I popped into this bakery. The owner must be a gourmet pastry chef because a lot of the small cakes were done with delicacy and great detail not to mention the fantastic flavors. They have a whole variety of specialty buns and pastries and something salty and something sweet all in a clean wrapped environment friendly staff. So many pastries so little time yummy

Decided to stop by this place to pick up a last minute Birthday cake. They have a wide range of baked good, coffee and cakes. I ordered the Mango Cake(moist sponge cake/chunks of mango/and not so sweet frosting). Also ordered some Macarons and that was just okay. The place was busy and service was fast. Come check out this location.

Yumm!!! My mom brought this home two nights ago. She brought two servings of mango cake, a mini chocolate mousse cake to try, and an 8″ chocolate mousse cake. The actual cake in the mango dessert was really dry. The chocolate mousse cake is addictive! My sister was trying to protect her birthday cake from me. It’s great because it’s chocolate but not outrageously sweet. Lots of places mound their chocolate cakes w über sweet frosting. This place had a glaze over the top and none more was needed because of the thick chocolate mousse layer. The cake itself was really soft as well. She did bring back some macaroons but I wasn’t impressed. I’ve made macaroons one time, I like mine better. These don’t hold up. They crumble very easily. Looked super ghetto when she brought them. The ones I made didn’t do that, nor any others that I I bought before.

Their mango cake is good, made with fresh mangoes and strawberries. Light and refreshing. Chestnut cake is pretty good too. Hong Kong style buns are delicious. Have had better for cheaper but not bad. Selection is decent for a small shop like this. I’ve tried their pineapple bun and cocktail bun. Both remind me of Venus Café when they used to have a bakery(now their buns were awesome!)

Mango cake for the child’s birthday. Almost went for Nothing Bundt Cake but heard about mango cake from this bakery. Very good. Not too sweet, typical of Chinese bakery. Pricey though.

I’ve driven by here a few times, and had even tried to come in — but because of my crazy work schedule, I always arrived when they were closed. Bummer. I finally was able to get in here, and purchased their tiramisu for a small family gathering. It was delicious! A bit pricier than Safeway or Raley’s, but well worth it. I’ve returned a few more times since, and have enjoyed every delicious pastry bought. I love that it isn’t too sweet — very light, but still blissfully good. Definitely a fan. Definitely will continue to buy cakes and sweets from here.

I’ve been going to this place on and off for several years now. it’s so close by. It’s got a good array of pastries, a handful of cakes and some asian sweets. The staff doesn’t help out too much, they are just kinda around. I needed a cake on New Years Day and wasn’t sure if they were open due to the holiday. I called ahead and a lady answered the phone, and that’s where I had the weirdest conversation ever. Me: Hello, are you open today? Lady: Yes, we are open, but we are closed. Me: So… are you open or closed? Lady: We are open, but we are closed. That was it. I couldn’t decipher if it meant they were actually open or they were closed? I decided not to venture out to see, but you get the point. Go in and grab your stuff, but don’t go in trying to start a conversation or get service.

My boyfriend and I came here to get a birthday cake for my mom, mainly because it was pretty close to where we live, and also because my mom isn’t a huge fan of buttercream icing cakes that you get at Lucky’s or Safeway. The lady at the front welcomed us and asked us if there was any type of cake in particular that we were looking for. When we told her that we were open to anything, she showed us some of the cakes that were displayed, and told them what was in each one(mango flavored, hazelnut, etc). After a few minutes of deciding, we went with the Strawberry Mousse Cake. She even offered to put ‘happy birthday mom’ on it, to which we said yes to. When we got home, sang ‘happy birthday’ to my mom, had her make her wish and blow out the candles, then cut slices of cake for everyone, I must say that everyone enjoyed the cake. It wasn’t overly sweet like most cakes that I have tasted in the past, and the appearance of the cake was very lovely. Even my mom agreed that the cake was delicious, and she’s picky when it comes to eating cake. Lol My dad’s birthday will be coming up soon, and this will be the place that I will go to to get his cake :)

Been coming here for years mainly for their cakes. They make the best fruit cake and mango cake. The other stuff have been a hit or miss for me, sometimes they taste great, sometimes not so wonderful… but that might just be me. They now sell ice cream cakes, I am very tempted to get one for the holidays! Great people that work there and prices are very reasonable!

I have never been here before, being that I am not too familiar with Asian bakeries. However, my good friend brought us the mango cake when we invited her and her husband over for dinner. After Dinner we were so full, that my friends insisted we keep the cake, they didn’t want to take any home, they wanted my husband and I to try it! My husband and I literally ate most of the cake just the two of us! My husband doesn’t even like cake lol the mangoes were fresh and I’m not sure what kind of «frosting» or cream Frosting they use but it is very light and not too sweet. It’s not too sweet, yet it is addicting! I docked them down a point because I noticed on Unilocal that some ppl said the 8 inch cake is $ 29. As good as this cake is, I am not sure I am ready to drop $ 29 for a small cake.

Been long time since i had anything from a chinese bakery so when I saw this outside my dental office I had to stop by. Got the green onion bread, hot dog croissants, ham n cheese corn bread, and etc… One of the ladies noticed that I was pickin up all the savory(non-sweet) items so she motioned to me that they had fresh items just baked. I got the green onion bread from there and it was BOMB. Ive never had it super fresh like that when my parents bought bread from the Chinese bakery. The edges were still crispy. Probably the best green onion bread ive had. They also have a great selection of cakes/cake pops/and other breads. The place def reminded me of home. Overall, if I craving for the Chinese breads, this would be on top of my list along with 85 degrees. They might not have the variety as 85 degrees but the quality is def there.

Let’s go back in time 8 years from now. I probably first stepped into this little bakery back in 2006 when my mom brought me to get a snack after school. I’m a pretty simple guy; all I would need to be happy is one of their hot dog buns. In fact, I enjoyed Mary’s bakery so much that I used to come by every week during High school; however, that pretty much stopped when I started going to college, but there’s nothing I could do about that. I’m glad to say that things haven’t really changed(maybe a different employee or two, but nothing big) and my palette has expanded outside of hot dog buns. Although the selection isn’t that big, I am able to find everything I want(ie. pork sung bun, sponge cake, chocolate rolls, ham & corn buns, and many more) and buy a cake from here once in a while.

My nieces requirements for a birthday cake was anything strawberry and soft. Soft because she just got plastered with a mouth full of metal. She’s a metal mouth now. So, I walked in and asked what kind of cake they had with strawberries. There was only 2 options, strawberry mousse or fruit cake that had fresh strawberries. So, I ended up with strawberry mousse. It was a delightful 3 layered dessert that had a layer of sponge cake, strawberry mousse, strawberry gelatin jam and it was topped with fresh strawberries with white chocolate square chips. It was very pretty. They offer free cake inscribing services but I was worried that my nieces 10 character length name wouldn’t fit the cake. But they managed to write it out in smaller fonts and still kept it neat. Nice bakery with friendly service. I’ll be sure to come back to test out those bouncy looking buns.

Mary’s Bskery looks like a sheng kee clone or wannabe. there’s cakes, mooncakes, custard tarts, buns, hot dog buns, crossaints, mini crossaints, etc. all buns are individually wrapped. eats: –taro bun(1.45)/crème blueberry pan(1.65) delicate sweet dough, fillings just a little of taro and blueberry. 3.5 stars
