Mach Martial Arts

My boys H&R have been attending for 3 years. They hate organized sports so this was the best way I could get them to exercise. I really appreciate that they also teach about morals and character. Part of the testing process is you can request them to speak with your child about areas in their life they need to improve. I think the price is also best in Fremont, you get a discount for annual payment and siblings.
I really don’t understand the reviewer who said it’s not family friendly. My friend’s family who attend loved it so much for their kids that the parents also joined and now they are a family of 5 black belts!
The boys like all the instructors, especially Master Niles, Master Sungjin, and Master Michelle. I want my daughter to grow up to be just like Michelle! She is a superstar!

Just started my son here at Mach Martial Arts and he loves it! The instructors make it fun and extremely enjoyable for the kids. Looking forward to him learning new techniques and advancing through the different stages. Highly recommend!

I have my 2 daughters aged 6 & 8 joined there recently. The staff there is extremely nice and accommodating. They explained the process and made our kids feel comfortable with the place. I am looking forward to have my girls learn the martial arts and leadership skills from the class.

On recommendation from a friend, whose daughter learnt and taught at MMA, I decided to take my daughter there and try it out. The place is well located near 680 in Fremont. The teacher, Master Niles is fantastic! He teaches with vigor, passion and humor. They have an all rounded curriculum involving discipline, focus and athleticism. I’m glad my daughter is starting while in kindergarten… looking forward to her becoming a black belt in a few years.

My son has been going there for the past 4 years and he really enjoys it. The instructors help kids practice discipline, self defense and focus on making them a well rounded athlete. It’s a great program.

My son has been in the school over 5 years, he learned so much in the school and most Important is he enjoyed it. The masters not only have taught him the moves but also in manners too. It’s not like we didn’t teach him. He just has the environment to practice consistently every time when he gets into dojun. They remind him to respect parents, take care his sibling and pick up his own responsibility. Now, I’m sending my 6 year old girl to the school too. Highly recommend !

Mach Martial Arts (Fremont) is the best in the tri-​city area. The instructors are skilled, attentive, and wonderful with children of all ages. Mach also has schools in Pleasanton and San Ramon. Each year, they hold a TKD championships which is well organized and well run for several hundred participants. We have been at Mach for 8 years. Our oldest child started at Mach when he was 4 and he is still very enthusiastic about TKD. We have two other children who also attend Mach and they all love to go to classes. I feel good entrusting Mach and their instructors with my children. Highly recommend this school.

The previously experienced issue that drove us to leave this school has been resolved. Students going for their blackbelt can stay with their parents during the overnight trip and then join the group for the hike in Lake Tahoe in the morning.
We are now back at Mach Martial Arts. The classes and instructors are still great and age appropriate. We highly recommend it.

0 stars if I could… Not kid oriented at all and employees at the front are mean spirited and unwelcoming!
Go somewhere else, don’t waste your time or money at this non family oriented establishment!

I attended Mach for about 8 years and I achieved my first degree blackbelt in 2007. I could go on for hours about how the experience helped me develop not only martial art and self defense skills but also life skills that are still helping me to this day. I highly recommend exposing your kids to a form of martial arts for the physical and mental development they will learn from it. Give Mach a try. Master Sungwoo and Sungjin are nothing short of the best.

For anyone looking for authentic Taekwondo, Mach Martial Arts is the place to go! The programs offered there are fun for the whole family for any age. Well trained instructors assist students in a fun and efficient way, while the wonderful masters teach, run class, and share their knowledge about Taekwondo as a physical sport and as a way to train the mind and soul.
Not only will students be getting fit and healthy while having a fun workout, but they will be learning how to show respect and use different morals in the real world. This school is really the best around. Martial arts discipline and respect, Taekwondo oriented exercise, and a strong spirit and mind. what’s not to love!
