**BEWARE** Came here on a Sunday, got 2 plates to go. First off, the Katsu was waaay over cooked and the mac salad was questionable. My husban got super DIYO… I guess I’m spoiled by the food on this side of the Bay. More importantly, I saw a SECOND debit on my account for an entirely different amount for the same date, so be careful if you’re using your card!!!

Miss the L&L from home, but this will do. I like the L&L I used to live next to in Liliha. They had an extensive menu. This location just serves the basics but it’s no too bad. It will do til I go back home.

call ahead and pick it up. BBQ chicken is better than Katsu here. The Katsu is too dry.

This place is absolutely horrible. The ribs had no meat at all, nothing but the bones. The macaroni was gross looking and the tray smelled really weird. Never coming back to this place again. If you’re looking to be disappointed, this is your place.

Went there at around 3:30pm thinking it would be empty. There were actually quite a lot of people! My order took about 20 min though so it’s a bit slow. Ordered the BBQ Mix Combo and I gotta say, it’s worth the wait! The chicken was juicy and the macaroni salad was great. The cashier was also quite friendly.

Love the food here!!! It’s a great place to pick up lunch! The prices are reasonable and the food is GOOD!!! Portions are good size! I can get 2 lunches out of 1 meal!

This location use to be the best in the Fremont area but the people they now have working are very rude. My last 2 visits here have been very unfriendly. Disappointing!

Definitely a disappointing visit. Location was dimly lit and had a depressing atmosphere. Portions were subpar in comparison to the mountain view location. In particular, I ordered the seafood combo, and it was not fresh. The food took over 20 minutes to be made. I would be cautious in making a visit to this location.

Only reason I give it 2 stars is because I had called in an order, called in again 5 mins after to change it, and there was no problem. The guy/cashier who answered the call provided great customer service. The food at this particular location was pretty bad compared to other L&Ls I’ve been to. I ordered a Chicken Katsu and the chicken was burnt(over-fried?) in what tasted like really old oil. Also ordered some Spam Masubi — advice to potential customers, not worth it. I’m not sure if they’re trying to maximize profits, but the Spam portion was super thinly sliced(3mm max) and then a ton of rice. I also tried their french fries with gravy — also not worth it, the fries can be picked up from the freezer aisle of your local Safeway with gravy on it(gravy was okay). The fries were actually undercooked and colder than the gravy on top of it.

This place was pretty empty when I went in. The guy who helped me was courteous and efficient, and the cook in the back fried the garlic shrimp pretty expertly in the pan. The macaroni salad here was so-so, which is interesting as it is usually a highlight when I go to an L&L. I don’t know why it varied so much here. The location is pretty weird, as it’s next to a 7-Eleven.

I love the food. Tried to order my food before coming in but it the phone line was busy for at least 10 – 15 minutes so I decided to come in only to find the cashier on the phone with a personal call. Then to top it off she keeps the phone call live on speaker taking my order and yelling to her friend to hold on. As my receipt prints out she picks up the phone and continues her conversation as I’m standing there…

Come on with the reviews guys, After all, it is fast food right? Well I called in to see if I can place an order for my office, and the kind gentleman I spoke to on the phone sent me a fax with the entire menu and catering menu. I was too eager, I ended up receiving the regular menu only and rushed off to grab everyone’s orders. I will be ordering off the catering menu next time though. I faxed my order right on back and and called to confirm. Again, he was so kind and patient and asked me a few questions to confirm the order Around 15 orders and it will be ready in 30 mins!

Review isn’t for the lactation but for the chain itself. I was interviewed for a job at a Sacramento location in 2007, interview /lunch. Really liked the chicken and rice, don’t remember the name though. Today however, I ordered Katsu chicken, tasted a lot of oil in every bite, overly cooked, overly breaded pieces of chicken made my teeth hurt. Chicken might have been old. Pictures as usual were deceiving like most places. It was very average, I had a chicken Tikka plate yesterday at TajEchaat, far far better. I understand you have to know what you’re walking in to when you select a restaurant. I understand it was supposed to be heavy sticky food, but it could have done better. A can of Pepsi is $ 1.50? It’s a buck everywhere else… later during the day I felt like throwing up.

I do not recommend this L&L… Is is me or is their food not the same as other L&L’s lack in flavor, chicken katsu panko was not cooked all the way, my macaroni salad consisted of just CARROTS, so much carrots that even the mayo was orange. And had no flavor. Worst experience I have ever had at an L&L for sure… I will stick to the one on Calaveras in Milpitas

I like L&L better than most Hawaiian bbq places. I just wish the people there were more friendly.

True food of Hawaii. Always busy but worth it. I stop whenever I am anywhere near the restaurant.

Simply an easy to grab Hawaiian fast food chain – but it’s the best in the area. Since Ohana had brought up their prices, I decided to come check out this L&L near Farwell. The prices were the same, came to around $ 27 to feed a family of four hungry adults(a plate per person). Ohana prices are roughly $ 9 each now. The staff was friendly and attentive, while the food was delicious and big – and I would definitely come back for more. Pros: –Reasonable pricing –Big portions –Attentive staff –Good seating area –Parking lot –Clean restroom Cons: –Took 15 – 20 minutes for the food to come out with no one in front of us Tips: –Try the Loco Moco –BBQ Chicken is always a must –Saimen for cold nights($ 5 – 7)

The food is better than average. The staff is friendly. I ordered my food and had it within 10 minutes. The space definitely needs a remodel. It is not the nicest place but it’s great fast food. The parking is adequate. They don’t have a good drink selection as their drink cooler is basically empty. They do have a soft drink fountain. They have Siracha which is always a plus wherever you are. I will eat here again but it’s no big deal. I say if you want Hawaiian and you are close by then go here but it’s nothing to go out of your way for.

Took 30 minutes to get my order. 2 people who ordered 10 mins after me got their order before I did. He even admitted that those people did come after me. Absolutely do not recommend this L&L. The kid at the register kept answering the phone while taking my order.

My husband and I came here for dinner tonight. It was taking a while for our food to come out. The customer after us actually took our food by mistake and walked out. A few minutes later the lady at the register goes running out and returns food in hand. She walks over to our table and hands it to us. Ummmmm NO! Excuse me but that left the restaurant in someone else’s hand. Don’t try and serve that to us! Then she gives me attitude about it! You made the mistake and now you’re trying to serve it to us with attitude saying they didn’t touch it?!? This place obviously doesn’t follow the health code standards. You can tell because it’s kinda grimy in this restaurant. Looks like they don’t clean this place.

Conditions were perfect for L & L Hawaiian BBQ: it was the end of a really tiring day in Berkeley for a few fun photoshoots I organized! I just got back from the BART(I was famished). So that feeling might be playing into a five-star rating here. But this was the first time I had Hawaiian BBQ and not felt a little lethargic after. In fact I went home and ate some more food haha Reviewing here(and pictured) is the mini Loco Moco — hamburger steak and gravy, two fried eggs, sticky white rice, & macaroni salad. It’s filling at $ 6.95(I really think ‘Regular’ at these places give you too much of the carby sides and make you fuller than you should). I had an extra cheeseburger on the side which tasted great, had an almost homemade cheesy, goodness comforting feel to it(even with everything on). Service was fast and friendly. I was at the right time and place at L&L’s so take this review with a grain of salt. But in that moment it was probably the most gratifying comfort food binge I’ve ever gone on. (Extra plus for large water cups and icy cold water) A+

This review is more so for their ramen burger. Kudos to this location for having it. Not all L&L’s have it. It’s the first one that I’ve had. Came with a burger patty with teriyaki sauce & green onions. Pretty tasty…
