The ice cream here is pretty good and I would return. The texture of the gelato is on point more then Sweet Orchid, however, i liked the flavor at Sweet Orchid better. I forgot what i had and wish I took pictures but like that they topped it with a waffle triangle. The guy behind the counter was not really interactive and welcoming but it was late i presume on a Monday so i do not blame him. Between Sweet Orchid and here, each has its own unique flavor style and textures and I like both. I would return.

There really isn’t that much to say about this place. The gelato tastes great and is fairly priced. There’s a lot of different flavors and most of them are awesome. You’re pretty safe no matter which flavors you pick.

Loooooove this place!!! They have a great selection of flavors even though my go to is mint chip and cookie dough :) I always introduce my friends to this place and they fall in love with it too. The man that works here is always so sweet too! Reasonable prices. Oh, and the wafers that they give with your gelato is amazing!!! Happy to see that this place is still getting business.

My favorite place to get gelato! Soooo delicious. My favorite favors are Vanilla Bean and Crème Brûlée butttt everything is amazing too. The man that helped us is very friendly. He talked to us about Italy and we told him about our upcoming trip there; gave us tips on where to go and eat, etc.

If you can’t go to Italy, go here. Small space but big on taste! Very creamy amazing gelato!!!

Gelato Classico is in a quiet plaza. It’s a nice option to go to after Rockin’ Jump to cool off. I love that wafer, what a nice complement to the gelato. It was surprisingly crisp and not cookie-like. I had the strawberry fresca(?). It was nice a light — how I would imagine a frozen aqua fresca would taste. The lychee was very true to flavor. There was also ginger that I was intrigued about(and should’ve tried!), but I was actually looking forward to lunch instead.

I tried Gelato in several fusion type restaurants and other places serving gelato. I’ve tried gelato in Rome! This place is by far the best! Pumpkin is a good seasonal flavor, but my favorite: Half Bavarian Mint Half Honey Lavender And the crackers are the best! Crack them the thin way and mix it up

There’s lots of flavors to choose from here, I was so amazed. I really like the décor here. It gives me some nostalgic feeling of being a kid in a candy store. After trying a few flavors, I ended up getting cookie dough and birthday cake. The birthday cake had a subtle grainy taste to it which I really enjoyed. The cookie dough was creamy and had bits of cookie dough inside. I really want to come back here if I’m ever in Fremont.

I had been longing for gelato in the Bay Area that was as good as the best of Los Angeles(where I’m from), and I suppose as tantalized as I was by the sign, and never knew how good it was going to be until I walked in. When I walked in and saw all the display flavors in their milky, fatty, luxurious splendor — I knew on sight this was high quality. Then you order… It’s an immediate smash hit in your mouth if there’s chunky ingredients, and it’s an immediate smooth operator in your mouth if there’s creamy and velvety ingredients. No matter what, each taste has tone and lucidity, and that’s first taste to last. It’s only gelato, but I’m going to be spending a lot of money in here as time comes. Recommendation: Start with HONEYLAVENDER or PECANCARAMEL or any buzzy COFFEE flavor. #goingfat

Gelato Classico Italian Ice Cream has the atmosphere of an old school neighborhood ice cream parlor. This spot definitely brings back the feels with their retro décor and vintage furnishings. Gelato Classico offers delicious gelato and sorbet in a variety of flavors. In addition to the standard ice cream flavors, some curious offerings include Honey Lavender, Birthday Cake and Pumpkin Pie. My life forever changed when I laid eyes(tongue?) on the fresh ginger gelato. I can rarely find ginger flavored anything so you can only imagine how ecstatic I was to see a batch of luscious yellow gelato just beckoning at me to eat it. And of course, I can’t leave any frozen treats shop without my go-to flavor: dark chocolate. So you’ve probably already figured out that I ordered the fresh ginger and dark chocolate(regular cup, $ 4). My boyfriend opted for the salted caramel and lychee(small cup, $ 3). I’ll dive into my gelato because my pairing was better(kidding). The ginger was everything I could have wished for and more. It conveyed some lovely floral notes but also hinted at a subtle savoriness with its spicy heat. It had just enough ginger flavor to be noticeable, but it was mellow enough not to overpower. Really, it was perfect. The dark chocolate was sensational as well with its dense, cocoa-rich flavor. It had the right amount of bittersweet taste to complement the ginger. And not to forget about my man, he also enjoyed his gelato(but mine was better). The only thing about the gelato here is that the texture is on the frostier side. It’s not as creamy or silky as other gelato that I’ve had. However, it’s still very delectable and smooth in its own way. Plus, every scoop comes with a crisp wafer. Woot!

3.5 stars for the gelato. One star for the«last one… only two samples» rule! Policy of 2 sample limit = 2 star limit rating. Seems fair. Same guy in the pictures of the other reviews who served us. It’s a guilty pleasure joint, you go there to be happy and indulge, its a shame the customer service doesn’t match. Many of the less popular gelato flavors and sides of all containers had a top layer of melted gelato. Noticed while scooping, he would scrape this melted layer to the bottom of the cup and put the fresh, creamier-looking stuff at the top of the cup. Gelato not made in-house. The response when I asked, «Too much work to make here… comes from a factory». Enough said. Small = $ 3.00 Medium = $ 4.00 Large = $ 4.50

The server is hot headed like the 96 degrees hot weather outside. We went all the way here to be greeted by a rude server. If only the server is as good as the gelatos they sell, this gelato shop would have been perfect.

Wow! I didn’t know this place even existed until my friend told me about this. It’s a little ice cream and gelato shop owned by this Italian man(I think). The shop has a cute little ice cream shop vibe. There are surprisingly A LOT of flavors to choose from. It honestly didn’t take me long because I’ve already set on eyes on Green Tea and Mango as soon as I saw them.(I really should go outside of my comfort zone and try something new next time haha). So I got a regular cup with two«scoops» of the gelato. I love how they have the little wafer! The gelato was good. The green tea had the authentic green tea flavor and it didn’t taste artificial at all. The mango was a bit strong for me. It almost tasted what dried mangoes would taste like. It was bad, but it was definitely different from what I am used to. I’ve also tried my bite of my friend’s gelato and both Honey Lavender and Lychee were good, too! They’re very subtle and similar in tasting. I would try the Honey Lavender next time! I am gonna be honest and say that my favorite part was probably the wafer. I don’t know why but it was really good. I was so tempted to buy a whole box of it for $ 4. I mean, it’s $ 4 and it was a big box! Maybe next time, too. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It’s a cute little shop run by this cute and kind of awkward Italian man. I’ve seen in a lot of reviews that he’s rude, but I don’t think so at all! He doesn’t talk much and just sits there most of the time, but I think he’s really friendly and patient when you talk to him. I hope to come back soon!

This place is truly a hidden gem! It’s honestly the BEST authentic Italian gelato place I’ve been to. The owner is so friendly and patient with you trying different flavors to figure out which one you like best. The customer service, flavors, the texture, the yummy little wafer cookie, etc. make this place perfect. You will not be disappointed with probably any flavor you try. I really recommend the honey lavender gelato! It’s unique and makes my taste buds do a little happy dance. The burgundy cherry gelato is also very tasty. You won’t go wrong with this delicious gelato place! Definitely coming back soon. :-)

Summer is here! What better to do than get Gelato when you are melting away. This place has pretty alright Gelato relative to all the places I been around the area. They have a lot of varieties. The waffle slice compliments the Gelato perfectly. My favorite part!

The gelato is really good but the customer service and their hours suck. Every time we come here it’s closed when they are supposed to be open. There is two owners one of the owners is really cool and he is on time and always nice and has a great personality. but the other one truly sucks just because he has other thing to do doesn’t mean that he can close the store early! You have to be consistent with your operating hours. You have lost a lot of customers just because of ur hours and being rude. And I’m giving it 2 stars just because of the other owner And also one night he locked the door before we walked in! on us and on another group of customers. And that’s when I took a picture of him I have posted a picture of the owner that closes early

My boyfriend has bragged about this place for months and I was dying to try it because he hates dessert so it’s a blessing when there’s a place he actually likes. I’m so glad he finally took me here because the gelato is to die for! Especially since there aren’t any places like this in San Jose. I make it a point to come here when we visit Fremont because it’s just so good! Everything I’ve tried before is super flavorful and it has that authentic gelato taste! And no, gelato isn’t like normal ice cream. My favorite flavors so far are mint chip and pistachio! Definitely a must try if you’re ever in the Fremont area.

I loveeeee this place to bits! They have so many flavors, it’s hard to just leave with the 1 – 2 flavors you get! My bf came here a lot growing up so it was a huge part of his childhood, I’m so happy this small little gelato shop stuck it out so long for me to finally try it for the first time a few years ago. Upon walking into this cute little shop, you’re instantly greeted with many, many, many flavors of gelato; some familiar flavors like vanilla bean, birthday cake, chocolate and some less familiar flavors! Looking above towards the prices/menu, you will notice different size options and their prices. You will also notice that even with a small, you can pick 1 flavor or 2 flavors! I love having this option since I’m a person who gets bored of repetitive foods quickly. With this option, I also get to enjoy two instead of just one of my favorite flavors. Heck, they’re all my favorite flavors! The owner is a sweet older, grandfather figure who hands you your gelato and you feel a strange, calm, comforting vibe as you thank him and he says to you«you’re welcome!» I also noticed that they have coffee options(non-gelato) so maybe one day I will stop by for caffeine here! Will be coming back much more now that I remember how good this place is!(:

Omggaash. Hands down THE best gelato place in FREMONT. This was my second visit and I mainly came craving for some REAL gelato after a horrible experience at Sweet Orchid(who claims to sell gelato ice cream… but no). After trying Sweet Orchid, I was wondering for the longest time: what is real gelato? Well, I found it here. It’s that smooth looking ice cream that’s firm YET soft in texture when you eat it. It’s not as hard as ice cream and not as cool in temperature either. It’s also suppose to be richer in flavor since it won’t freeze your mouth or brain. THIS is the one to go to, and will be my go-to for gelato around the area from now on! Anyways, there are three sizes: small, regular, large. All three you can choose 1 – 2 flavors and it’s priced at $ 3, $ 4 and $ 4.50 respectively. This time, I tried lychee and stracciatella and LOVED both. It was super creamy and tasty. Do yourself a favor and come try some here if you’re going to drop that money elsewhere, especially if it’s at Sweet Orchid, anyways. One star off for the owner… he’s nice, but the service was reeeeally slow.

When I walk into Gelato Classico, I instantly get a «it’s a classic» vibe. The store is old school and authentic. Even the server is a cute old grandpa. Prices are hefty but something about eating sorbet in the cold makes it extra special and worth it. I ordered ½ honey lavender & ½ Bavarian mint. Bavarian mint is a compote of rich dark chocolate & mint. It would definitely have been too much and too sweet to order a full order of the Bavarian mint! Honey lavender was light and pleasant. The lavender essence was a bit light, but then again, my tastebuds may have been overwhelmed and disoriented from the mint! I’ll definitely swing by again if I’m ever in the neighborhood or if I’m having a sorbet craving.

Primera vez que venimos y no encantó! El servicio fue excelente y muy amable. Que bueno tener gelato cerca de la casa. Came here because I was dying to Honey Lavender Gelato and had excellent service. Gelato was on point and even left with a Pint($ 7.50) of Honey lavender to go. We also had the Stracciatella, mango and white chocolate raspberry. All delicious!
