Erik’s deli is a a great place to grab lunch in the Central area of Fremont. It’s in the Food Maxx complex along the side of the building. When you walk in it had a old school western style of décor to it that’s quite pleasant. I grew up around NY delis which have more of a diner feel to them. This place is definitely different than those, however it fits. The food is great. They have very many unique sandwiches as well as a good variety of soups and salads. This last visit I had one their seasonal sandwiches which was turkey, cranberry and stuffing with mayonaise. It was delicious and the macaroni salad I had with it was top notch. They serve drinks in mason jars which I think really adds to this restaurants character. Go try it!

I am giving only one star and that is only because I didn’t get sick eating the food– there service was terrible one week ago today. I walked in and there was no one in line but the staff just kept walking past me and not even acknowledged my presence. Finally someone said have you been waiting long … I place my order half sandwich and salad. Received my salad quick so I thought ok this is good. I finished my salad and still no sandwich by waiting a few more mins then walked to counter and the sandwich maker said u made that. Where is it ??? My sandwich was off to the side, they handed me a soggy, cold sandwich and said sorry. The cheese was melted at one time but had hardened by now and the bread very soggy. This was not the Erik’s deli I use to get sandwiches from month after month. I work near by and treat the staff to Erik’s but not sure that will happen in the future.

We go here every Sunday, she orders a Ruben, and I order the pilgrim progress. Only bad about this place is, I don’t think they have jalapeños or hot sauce here, and there famous chilly is not spicy, I love hot sauce on every thing I eat. And I do mean every thing I eat! 4 stars for there quality of food, 5 stars for there awsome customer service. P.s don’t for get to ask for extra secret goo sauce, on your sandwich. :)

I’ve been here a number times already; I love it! My mom and I usually come in together. I always go with the half sandwich combo — Abbott’s Habit and clam chowder. I love roast beef and mushrooms which is in that sandwich. They serve it with a slice of a pickle as well which is another thing I love and a slice of orange. The whole thing always comes out perfect.(Although their clam chowder has too much potatoes.) Prices aren’t bad either. As for customer service, I have nothing to complain about. All employees are helpful and friendly; greets you with a smile and«hello» when you walk in to order. Can never go wrong with Erik’s! I’m a customer for life :)

*ring…ring…ring* «Hello, Erik’s Delicafe, how may I help you» Uh, yea… this is the 80’s. And we want our blatant usage of alphalfa sprouts back. The good is that I can appreciate sprouts a lot more as an adult than say as a kid. It is kind of nutty, vegetative and does offer a good break to rich, salty meats. But«every» sandwich here has sprouts on it, common, now that’s just funny. Got a combo with ½ a Raging Bull and a cup o’ chowdah. Sammie had roast beef with melted pepper jack, green chiles, tomato and sprouts(duh), on an onion roll. Pretty good sammie, even the half will fill up a lunch appetite. The soup however was just meh. Good clams but a tad salty and very little dairy flavor, which I happen to look for in a good chowder. Oh well, next time maybe I’ll stick to the full sandwich. And embrace them sprouts while wearing parachute pants, top-siders and a spiked mullet. *moonwalks outa here*

First time coming to this location and I was pretty impressed with the customer service. I wish I had got his name but i didnt think of it until i already had left. Friendly guy took my order and it didnt bother him one bit that i kept coming back to buy other things that i had forgotten like a bag of chips and a soda. He put everything in my bag and made sure that everything was in there including forks and napkins. I would have to say this would be my favorite location so far.

Love this place! I’ve been eating here for 10+ years and it’s by far my favorite place to go for a sandwich! The R.E.O. SPEEDWAGON with extra extra pickles is my go to sandwich every time I’m here. The staffs are really nice and friendly. You can tell they are doing something right when the flow of people are coming/going and you see familiar faces from your last visit!

I’ve been coming to Erik’s for years and have always loved the sandwiches here. The prices seen a little higher than they used to be. This would be a 4 star review except it seems like the pickle you get with your sandwich gets smaller every time I come. For a place that advertises«Respect your pickle» I’d at least expect a hearty half slice instead of the measly not even quarter slice they give you.

Food did not impress me at all. I ordered for takeout(the Reuben sandwich), which is a very easy thing to make at most restaurants. The pastrami was flavorful, but dry and chewy as if it were microwaved. The marbled rye bread was also dry & chewy. There was NO sauerkraut to be found on the sandwich!!! Which upset me the most! I can not get over the fact that they forgot the sauerkraut. I also had a bowl of chili. Which was a huge mistake and compounded the regret and depression setting in from the piece of crap reuben sandwich that I just ate. There chili is identical to the«free chili» condiment topping from 7 – 11, that you would use on their hot dogs or nacho’s. It might of actually been from 7 – 11 because maybe they ran out of there own. Avoid this place. It’s bad food at ridiculously high prices.

I’ve never had a bad sandwich here. The ingredients are fresh, and the ratio of meat to veggie and bread is about perfect. A sandwich will fill you up, and the complimentary pickle wedges are crispy and garlicky. Only negative is the dining room always seems a bit grungy. The last time we were there there was ketchup or something splattered on one of the photos on the wall right next to a table, and it looked like it had been there awhile.

Been there only once and loved it! It was my virgin visit to Erik’s Deli Café, and the place looked cozy and rustic – in a good way. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the sandwich(pesto chicken) I ordered was. The sandwich had thick veggie layers, and I liked it was seved warm. The staff were not that friendly, but the delicious food satisfied me. I was happy when I found out Erik’s Deli Café had many different locations, and I’ll defintely try out other sandwiches in the menu in other Cafes as well.

I used to come here on my lunch break all the time. I usually get the Sea Dog or the Classic Reuben with vegetarian vegetable soup. Sea Dog: Good tuna sandwich. I like the tuna, the sandwich is moist, and the cheddar gives it just the flavor I like. Classic Reuben: Good pastrami, sauerkraut isn’t overpowering — but you do notice it. I mostly get it when I want a nice, pastrami sandwich. Vegetarian Vegetable soup: It’s just okay. I think they have a deal to get a discount on the soup if you get a sandwich or something. Nothing outstanding on this soup. Service is hit and miss, it can be okay or pretty good depending who you get. The wait is longer than I’d like, but not crazy long — and it is a deli I guess. The prices are a bit higher than I like and the portion size is only okay, but it was a quick option for me for a while, and sometimes it’s just nice to sit down and eat on your lunch break. Thanks for the lunches, Erik’s. :)

I love Erik’s deli café. I loved the original Erik’s deli in Scotts Valley that i used to go to when I was a kid in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I like the laid back vibe that all the franchises have been able to embody. This is one of the most chill deli’s around. As far as I’m concerned it’s a Bay Area institution. The R.E.O. Speedwagon is the bomb. Abbott’s Habit is a close second.

Erik’s has great sandwiches made with fresh ingredient and delicious salads at reasonable prices. The sweet liberty is one of our favorites. You can buy a nice big pickle too. Nice variety of fountain and container drinks. I have tried several of the soups and not been happy with them so now I don’t ever order them. I want a soup that tastes like they did more than open a can and keep it hot.

Worst Erik’s deli, they can NEVER get the sandwich right and it’s directly off the menu-no alterations. They have been out of the bread every time and consistently forget ingredients. Today my Rio Grande club has no guac which is why this is a pricier sandwich. Lots of minus points and for the rookies who work here.

Love this place! My favorite is the Pilgrim’s Progress — which I always order with cheese! Deliciously YUMMY! I always call in my order. I usually go on the weekdays, around 10AM when no one is there. This is usually because I know i have a busy workday! Anyhow, customer service great. Place is clean. They always get my order right. I love a great deli sandwich with chips… kettle chips, that is! They carry a brand of chips — Ms. Vickie’s…something like that, but it’s good… even more wonderful if it was IN the sandwich. Together, just perfect :) Meals always come under $ 10. I can deal with that. It comes sliced, so I finish it in two sittings. Thanks, Erik’s!
