Thoughts: many people waved about the garlic chicken wings but I didn’t like it as described. Maybe it’s just me. It was extremely fried and solid like a rock to eat. The garlic favor is tasty so I have to give credits to that. Service 1 star: no service at all and I can testify to this because I’ve been the twice and find myself sitting on my own. I had to wait a few minutes and go to her counter to yell for service! Service for to go seems to be better based on observation Atmosphere 1 star: everything is outdated in the restaurant Quality 2 stars: it’s not bad but not good. Had chicken wings, fried rice(good), pot stickers(good), string beans(good), beef. Value 1 – 2 stars: lunch price very reasonable — don’t recommend going there for dinner.

Mine and my wife’s favorite Chinese restaurant. And its around the corner from our house. The garlic chicken wings are to die for. We don’t go anywhere where else. Thank you China Station two up.

If not for their garlic chicken wings, I would never come back to China Station. I placed an order at 5 pm for a small order of chicken wings and chow fun. NOT a catering tray, just enough for my family. He said it would take 20 minutes, and I looked at him in astonishment thinking he was just joking. Which completely deserted Chinese restaurant have you been to where serving up food took 20 minutes? I hadn’t been to one until I went into China Station that day. He was absolutely serious about the wait, I found out. I walked around the plaza, then ended-up sitting inside to wait for the food to come out. By the time he was done, I had already been waiting 40 minutes, and there were about 3 other parties who were waiting there who said that they had put their orders in at 11 am THATDAY. I just can’t with you, China Station! I’d rather go to New Luk down the street where the chicken wings are actually much better, more flavorful, and where their speed of delivery isn’t as mysterious or vague as China Station’s.

This is definitely the go to place for spicy garlic fried chicken wings for a party! You can order a normal order as well, but I would definitely order for take out. As its a hole in the wall and the ambiance is non existence. I’ve never had any problems with the wait time or the customer service that other Unilocalers have mentioned. Their food is just ok, but stick with the wings and you won’t be sorry.

Manager/Chef burnt my friends rice and yelled at her. That’s unacceptable. My friend is a very sweet woman. She didn’t deserve that.

They sold me burnt rice. And the chef yelled at me. I decided to try this place cause of their rating and the raving reviews of the chicken wings. First of all, all the reviews about the wait time turned out to be very true. Ordered on the phone for pick-up, they told me 20 minutes and it was really over 50 minutes. Next, came home excited to try the wings, took a bite and was impressed by the crunch but was waiting for the flavor to hit me. Never happened. Was neither garlicky nor spicy. Just crunchy. Then, served my parents and myself a plate, i noticed some of the rice looked burned but was hoping it would taste okay. After that long wait we were starving and i didnt want to have to go through waiting that long again if i called to let them know. So i just hoped it would taste ok. we all started eating and my parents started commenting how the fried rice tasted burnt. I tried it and was disappointed that it tasted really burnt. I decided to call and let them know. So i call and the guy at the front answers, i explain and he tells me that the black rice is soy sauce. So i say, um no i know what soy sauce looks and tastes like, and this is burnt. He tries that line of reasoning 2 more times, so finally i said it’s burnt i can come and show you. So he puts me on hold then says yeah bring it in and we’ll give you your money back. Really, i was just hoping for a new batch but by that time i was full from the other food we ordered so i was like ok that’s cool. I get there, bring the box of rice which is about 80% full cause remember i served 3 plates before tasting the rice. The guy at the front takes my receipt and box of rice to the back kitchen. I hear loud talking then what i guess is the chef storms to the front and starts yelling at me that i ate the rice so it’s not burnt and he’s not giving me my money back. I tried to explain to him that i served 3 plates before realizing it tasted burned so we just finished the other items on our plate and threw away the rest, but he kept insisting that since the box wasnt completely full that it wasnt burnt and that we ate the rice. So i tried to explain again but he once again started yelling saying i ate the rice and he wasnt going to give me my money back and i should have put all the rice back in the box. I was like, really? It was covered in mongolian beef sauce, that would have made it harder to see all the burned rice. And what are you going to do with a full box of burnt, mongolian saucy rice? He just said again box not full, no money back. So i just said ok sir. As he goes back in to the kitchen the guy at the front whispers to me, i’m really sorry. I just said it’s okay, not your fault, just wish I hadn’t wasted my time coming back. He probably gets yelled at all the time, poor guy. That chef really needs to pipe it down. All that over $ 8. C’mon sir.

One major downfall is that the customer service & wait time sucks. You can be waiting at the counter forever until youre greeted. Even if you order ahead of time & come later than the 30 mins suggested, your food still wont be ready Again, im only giving 5 stars cuz their spicy garlic wings are bomb AF

My friend’s statement when we were done eating sums up the blandness of the food perfectly: «I don’t remember the last time I stopped eating not because I was full, but because I didn’t want to finish.»

Me and the gf had a craving for fried chicken and we came across this location across Unilocal that was close to home. When we arrived the place was completely empty except for a couple in front of us that ordered a party platter. When it was our turn, I believe the older gentleman who was up front is the owner of the restaurant. He was very kind and sweet. We ordered the friend wantons as an appetizer, 2 orders of the Special fried garlic chicken and Bbq pork fried rice. Let me tell you, it was really good! The wontons came first and they were delicious and servers with sweet and sour sauce. We devoured them. Next came out fried chicken and rice… The chicken comes with I believe 6 – 7 pieces each and the rice was good for 2. All the entrees were good, the only complaint I had was that the batter was a lot and really crunchy. The prices are pretty decent where the chicken is around 8 $ per order. Not to bad. They do take card and it is a $ 10 dollar minimum. This place has authentic at home feel that I enjoyed. Be patient and enjoy the delicious food. Definitely will come back.

While I’ve never ate here, I have picked up party trays of their Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings. They are always a party favorite! If you want it extra spicy, just let them know. If you want it less spicy, let them know, too. But, even with the regular order, I didn’t taste much spiciness. It’s probably better to order a few days in advance, but they’ve also filled orders for me in a few hours. Last note, I’ve went there a few times and even though their door said they open at 11:30, I have waited until 11:50 and they still didn’t open. Probably a good idea to call ahead if you are going there on a first date or something… you cheap bastard.

Maybe Unilocalers hyped it up too much for me, but I was expecting these spicy garlic fried chicken wings to taste phenomenal. I ordered a medium party tray for $ 40 and some change. I called ahead and they gave me a 30 minute pick up time, so I arrived on time and still had to wait another 15 minutes. It was a slow Sunday with no one in the restaurant at the time. As I was waiting, I also noticed a small roach crawling next to the menu on the wall(see photo). I wasn’t discouraged by this hole in the wall, but curious to know how sanitary things are in the kitchen. The wings smelled fantastic, super garlicky, and piping hot. But when I ate them I was disappointed. Sure they were extremely crunchy, but it lacked any garlic flavor and spiciness. Also, there wasn’t enough salt to taste! I agree with some other Unilocalers and go to New Luk Yuen a mile down the road — they have better wings.

My boyfriend raves about their fried chicken wings so much. For some reason though whenever I eat Chinese food with him, I’m just never in the mood for fried chicken so I can’t really say for myself if I think the fried chicken is beyond uhhmazing. I do agree with him though the Mongolian beef is great. Of all the times he’s taken me here, I’ve always went ahead and ordered different things just to expand my horizons. So far I’ve had no issues with the food. I actually liked this prawn dish last time I ordered but I forgot what the name was. Maybe it was the cashew prawns. Oh well, I’ll find out next time I’m here again. It’s definitely a little hole in the wall restaurant that has loyal customers who keep them going, but I wouldn’t say this restaurant is of my favorite places. I definitely don’t mind eating here though if my boyfriend wants their Mongolian beef or chicken.

I honestly don’t care for their chicken wings and I don’t understand why people like them so much. I’ll give them props for their tasty seasoning, but their batter/breading really deters me. Their wings are fried with a very heavy batter/breading, so there’s really not much chicken to it. I guess they’re good if you’re only into wings for the skin and deep fried batter/breading. Even though I personally don’t like their wings, I have to agree that they are party pleasers. Their other items are descent, but very oily and heavy.

The wings were actually really good! My only gripe about it is that there’s a little too much batter on it! While I was eating, I found myself peeling off the excess fried bits just to get to the meat. Other than that, great flavor and juicy!

As one of my friends put it, their Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken Wings are 5-STARS, but beyond that, I wouldn’t come here for anything else. The business itself looks run down and old, and after looking at their menu(paper and the one on the wall), this place caters to caucasian people and their taste buds. I always tend to order a tray of chicken wings for dinner parties/bbq’s, so during my last visit was around dinner time. CALLAHEAD if you order a tray of these wings! I still had to sit and wait, and witnessed two tables of customers(caucasian) sitting and shivering as they ate their dinner. They either don’t have a heater or don’t want to turn on the heater for their customers, but the place was freezing! Don’t expect a 5 star looking restaurant when you get there, but do expect some bomb ass wings! Their prices for their lunch combos looks well worth it though.

GARLICFRIEDCHICKENWINGS The saying«if you can do one thing well do it well» applies to this restaurant. What this restaurant does well is the garlic chicken wings, which is the restaurant’s specialty. There’s something about these wings that make them the money maker for this restaurant. The thick, crunchy breading makes these wings addictive. Yet these wings are moist inside. The garlic flavoring is intense but not overpowering. That can explain why people place catering orders for these wings for special events such as parties, Super Bowl Sunday, or a Pacquiao fight. There are other items on the menu, but every time I go here the item I order the most are the garlic, fried wings. Even though people order these wings to go I recommend eating here at this restaurant. My belief is fried chicken should be eaten right away after it comes from the fryer instead of sitting there in a tray at a party for a while. Last Sunday defined the true experience of eating the garlic, fried chicken wings at this restaurant. For a late lunch inside the restaurant the only people eating inside were my two cousins and me. Yes this place is a dive — maybe that décor adds charm to these wings I don’t know. We placed two orders of garlic, fried chicken wings and egg fried rice. That’s all we ordered. If the main attraction is the garlic, fried chicken wings the only other item you need to order is either steam rice or fried rice. Yes that remark sounds very Asian of me. Why stuff yourself of other items if you can’t enjoy the crispy, garlic, fried chicken wings? If you want to have a quick bite to eat I recommend ordering the garlic, chicken wings with an order of steam rice or fried rice.

I first discovered this place through a friend who ordered their wings for a party. Their fried garlic chicken wings are the best I’ve had. They are so crispy and crunchy! They don’t get soggy either! Try them spicy and you’ll be in for a treat! Besides the garlic chicken wings, try the shrimp in lobster sauce. SO good!
