Took them almost an hour just to give our orders. we just ordered longsilog(sausage and fried egg). we complained about our wait. But instead of apologizing, they make up these excuses. We are definitely not coming back. If I could give no starts, I would.

Delicious food but overall not memorable. Liked they played nice music but the guy taking my order seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. Liked my dinuguan with eggs over rice. Wasn’t impressed with their garlic rice and would have preferred plain rice.

This place is way to much we called and ordered lichon cawaly and when we got there we had to pay first before we could see the food. After we payed they brought it out and it was just in a little togo container. And it was $ 12 for like 7 pieces. So bull don’t buy food togo here. way over priced!!!

I always feel bad when I review a place after only trying it once, but I also think I would never go to this place again ha. My friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch, but everything we were craving was closed at that time(like pizza and sushi ha)! So she suggested we go here which I guess was our first mistake — eating food we didn’t really want to eat. She got the chitosilog(chicken tocino) and I got the longsilog(which I know is the most basic thing ever). The only other rice dish I knew was tocilog(cured pork) but I wasn’t feeling it that day so I was taking my time ordering. The waiter was so impatient about that so I was like I’ll just get fried chicken then. Then he insisted on arguing with me like NOYOUSHOULDTRYLONGSILOGOR… so I changed my order and regretted it. Each plate comes with 2 scoops of garlic rice and 2 fried eggs but I didn’t think it was worth ~$ 9 for pre-packaged sausages. I should’ve just got the sisigsilog… but I don’t plan on coming back ever, sorry bout it.

CHERRYGARDEN NOTETOREADER: Before I get my head chopped off by other Unilocalers.(This has happened before) I am about to go on a 14 hour flight, out of the country. During this flight I have nothing to do and I know I have slacked on my reviewing because I have been crazy busy! Although every time I have gone somewhere new I made it a point to check-in so I may go back and review later. It has taken me a while to review these restaurants but I am finally doing so. Before somebody says«you posted x9843058048 reviews in one day», please know that I am reviewing as my flight is in the air and will be posting once landed at my destination. Thank you! Also, I review on trip advisor before anybody goes psycho crazy on me saying they seen this review elsewhere. I post on both Unilocal and trip advisor of my reviews! Thank you(: Location: Right next to the hub, in the plaza where Nation’s and that pancake house is at! Plenty of parking. Customer Service: They were very nice and welcoming! Décor: Reminds me of a blast from the past with an old school Chinese restaurant feel. If you know what I mean lol? I love how on the tables one of the condiments is «banana ketchup»! Come on that’s mosdef an essential! LOL Presentation of Food: We got a to go order! How did the food taste?: Can’t go wrong with Filipino food that’s for sure! Overall Experience: I’ve lived in Fremont all my life, and the day that I don’t live in Fremont anymore I find out about this place, hilarious! But hey I’d come back! Would I Come Back?: Sure!

I had high hopes for this place. But for the price, it’s not worth it. Even fast food Filipino breakfast was better quality. I would rather drive a few miles down to Union city for better deal & quality.

Eating their pork rib sinigang right now for lunch with their garlic fried rice. So good! I usually get their bangsilog, which is fried boneless milk fish with garlic rice and sunny side up egg & I have never been disappointed with their food. Kind of a hole in the wall but not a big deal for me. I started dining here when my youngest son was only about 2 – 3 years old and have been there sporadically but she always remember us when she’s there. He’s 10 now so that’s pretty awesome.

I first came here with my family and WOW I was blown away with the taste of the food. The garlic rice tasted just like my moms and now that my mom moved an hour away I can now take a drive to Cherry Garden to get that garlic rice i crave. The portions were very generous and the chops were delish! I also tasted the crispy pata and that was also yummy. The breakfast menu is the best! The Pancit Canton was made perfectly! I could never find a good place that cooks just like my mom and this was it!

More like –1 star. First time here. Just RUDE. I just walked out right now, it’s about 1 pm on Wednesday. I get a «hi» from a guy that looks like he is the only waiter, then walks away. I get that they’re busy… but I came in here to place an order to go. It wasn’t even a full house. The guy comes back a few mins later… seemed irritated with me and takes my order. Then he tells me it will be over 30 mins to get my food because there’s too many people in there. THEN without answering him… He effin walks away! Does he come back? Nope. Another guy from the back walks up to the counter and does not acknowledge me at all… NOPE. They didnt even confirm or checked with me to see if i still wanted to order… So I left. F-That! Rude. I felt stupid…

Seriously I love this place! Do yourself a favor and order the wor wonton soup. I always come in here and order the infamous tocilog(which is still my favorite) but today I ordered the soup too and WOW! I really wasn’t expecting the broth to be so yummy! I love everything off the Filipino menu and took a chance on the soup that really paid off! I love the staff and that this place is never overly crowded! Thank you Cherry Garden

First time here today and I’d have to say that it was pretty good food. It’s a little dated as far as ambiance goes. Little knick knacks and toys everywhere made it feel like it was cluttered and unorganized but also a little home like as if your aunt was cooking the good there. The food was good we got the silog plates and enjoyed them with a glass of water which didn’t come until after the food was served. The waitress came by once to deliver the check and no refill was offered after the drinks were finished. Which is why I reduced them one star down from 5. Overall a good experience. This is literally a hole in the wall place to dine but a gem of fremont.

Not knowing where to dine in Fremont. I decided to turn into an almost dilapidated plaza trying to actually make a U-turn while looking for a nice place to grab some grub and happened to stumble upon Cherry Garden. Although not quite fine-dining(Far from it), I’m glad I decided to walk in. Did a quick Unilocal search and realized it was a Filipino restaurant so I decided to try my hands on the Tocilog rice plate. A month and what feels like 10 Tocilog plates later…(maybe just 3 or 4) all I have is just one question: Can someone please tell me why FILIPINOFOODISSOAMAZING?! Pros: — Great food — Quick — Ample Parking –Great Price

TIP: If you ever plan on dining here, don’t. Just do take-out. Cherry Garden has one huge fault and that’s how dirty the restaurant is. While we dined here, I couldn’t help but feel disgusted by what I saw. The walls were filthy( ) and the tablecloths probably haven’t been washed in YEARS( ). I didn’t get a picture of the front entrance but it’s also a disaster. Upon walking in, we had to avoid a bunch of junk on the ground. It looked like they used that area for storage. Luckily the food isn’t terrible. Not great, but not bad. HOT&SOURSOUP ~ 3 stars: Surprisingly this wasn’t bad at all. Not only that, the bowl was HUGE. I don’t remember how much they charged for it but I do remember it being a bargain. Nice heat and great flavor. I like it a bit more sour so I asked for some vinegar which did the trick. This won’t blow you away but it’s good and you get a lot of it. TOCISILOG ~ 4 stars: A pork-like substance almost resembling spam grilled heavily on the outside to provide great flavor and texture. Served with garlic rice and two eggs. This dish was very comforting. It was also very heavy. However, everything came together very well. Call it a Filipino rendition of Spam and rice. In short, Cherry Garden spits out decent food but their restaurant is a mess. I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants but at least those places put effort into keeping the place clean. Cherry Garden, and I’m not joking, makes it seem like they’re trying to trash the place. So take my advice — order take-out!

We just happened to be the area & my wife wanted to eat here. The food is not bad or great but it will suffice your hunger The service is very slow just in case you’re in a hurry to go someplace afterwards. If you want Good Pinoy food go to Isla Restaurant in Newark

We stumbled upon this place as we were looking for Falafel etc. It’s right next door to Falafel etc. As I have not had Filipino breakfast in a while(silogs!), I thought we’d try their silogs for our dinner. Breakfast for dinner is always good in my book! I ordered the Longsilog(sweet sausage, garlic fried rice, and eggs). I was a little disappointed with the sausage. It really didn’t have a lot of flavor in it. I’m glad it wasn’t that sweet, as some can be really sweet, and that it wasn’t that salty. But again it fell short in terms of flavor. It should have a nice balance of sweet and sour. It was also a little too fatty for my taste. The garlic rice was good, but the eggs were a little too overdone for me. The whites were most definitely overcooked and the yolks were not runny at all. Specify an over-easy preparation, so you can break the yolk on the rice and mix them all together! The hubby had the Daing na Bangus silog(fried milk fish) and that was tasty. We both really liked it. The fish was a nice size and it wasn’t too salty. He really liked the flavor. We also ordered the lumpia. It was delivered to our table piping hot, so we were warned by the server. It was nice and crunchy but the meat inside was a bit dry. Lumpia always makes a good app though. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, this place doesn’t have much ambiance. It was a really warm day when we went and they had to use floor fans to cool down the place. They need to update the restaurant’s carpeting and paint to make it a nicer place to enjoy your food. They can also make it feel more open by changing the windows and letting natural light in to the place. I don’t think we’ll be back. I work in Union City and there are better restaurants there to satisfy my craving for silogs.

What can I say about the Cherry Garden? I like the name for a start. We were in the neighborhood in Fremont and De Afghanan was closed and we were not quite up to falafel so we decided to try it. My wife was craving philippine food also, so that helped steer us here. It is a small restaurant, very basic but comfortable and casual so we got our order in quickly since it was not very crowded. I decided on the boneless fried bangus and two eggs over garlic rice, and my wife ordered the Longsilog with the same. Yes! breakfast for dinner works sometimes. I really liked my fish and the garlic rice — I cannot ever say no to it when eating philippine cuisine. The service was good. Our water was refilled often since it was a warm day and we were hot inside due to the fans only, no AC. My wife thought the Longsilog was just okay though nothing special. But mission accomplished our craving for garlic rice was satisfied! The dinner was around $ 30 so it was a nice inexpensive casual experience.

My boyfriend’s favorite two word combination is «Filipino Breakfast.» He was downright giddy when he saw the gigantic variety of silogs and sisigs(whatever that means). It was my first F.B. experience. Apparently flavors are strong and there’s always both a sour and sweet element. Most of the silogs come with a shot of vinegar for the former, and the meats are often marinated with a sweet BBQ type of sauce for the latter. Garlic rice and sunny side eggs come with every order. My chicken tocino was tasty, but overwhelming midway through, especially with the egg/rice combo. Paired with a calamasi(filipino lemonade) which didn’t seem all that different from the american kind. I was with a huge Filipino family party, so I definitely had the full experience. Learned quite a bit about why my boyfriend’s taste buds are the way it is too. Educational!

This is one of my favorite place for Filipino’s food. I liked their foods. Would have been great if they have some pictures on the menu so that we can easily to choose the items. Good think I always took my Filipino’s friend to go there so he can tells me what is good, otherwise I will be screw. Lol
