Since another person and I, in a FB group, each ordered a copy of the Gospel Of John, illustrated by Rick Griffin, from Robert Beerbohm, the owner of BLBcomics, through the group because he offered these for sale on the group and Ebay. We didn’t have Ebay, so we sent personal checks (at least I did) on April 1^st. We didn’t hear back from Robert and the other person contacted me through FB and I said to give him more time. Well, a month and ½ later, it finally shows up. It’s just a ‘Watchtower’ type pamphlet. Not an illustrated book, like I was expecting. The Gospel of John tract by Chuck Smith, and illustrated by Rick Griffin that I wanted is an actual book. This had maybe 6 pages and was published by some church. I got charged $ 36.99 + $ 3.50 shipping for this. The hardcopy in NM condition of the actual tract cost me $ 18 plus shipping from Amazon. Plus, there are other copies of the same thing selling for ½ the price we got charged. When I complained to Robert, he said return it for a full refund. However, he won’t refund my money even though I have a copy of the check he cashed, a receipt from the USPS receipt with PID showing delivery date, May 18^th, 2015 of the return. To top it off, I know he received it in great condition because he’s relisted it on Ebay later that night as New. Ebay listing # 231 549 168 896. Now, he’s saying weird stuff on FB to the other guy who still doesn’t know when or if it showed up, saying blah, blah, blah and more excuses. I’ll never do business with him again because he took advantage of both of us because we didn’t go through Ebay and Paypal, so we have no recourse as buyers with the Paypal guarantee and can’t leave negative feedback.
Note: After doing some sleuthing, I came up with his actual address in Fremont, NE and his Paypal account info. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Omaha, NE that covers his area, Unilocal!reviewed him in Fremont, NE and put a Paypal request for payment in after opening an account. Plus, I told this story on my seller’s site on FB. A couple of months later, I received my refund in the form of a USPS money order (I guess he’s afraid I’d steal his banking info, which I already had anyways as it was on the back of my check that he cashed.), no apology, nothing about being sorry for the whole thing, just some gobbledy gook about the Griffin family, etc. Then, at the very end, he says ‘I should be ashamed of myself’. For what? Making him cough up the money he owed me? What a total douche…
