I would only go here if using a coupon and do not have any Indian option within 50 miles, this place was dirty and décor exciting as your average office workplace that hasn’t updated in more than 10 years. The floors were sticky and the the service was lackluster. When I got there the waiter just seemed too casual, I guess his service was similar to the low wage he was probably getting paid for.
I don’t mind dirty places as long as the place feels organic and real. It was just this weird white room and no noise/​music atmosphere that turned me off. I really hate restaurants that make their website try to make them look better than what they actually are and it’s true. I should’ve listened to the reviews before coming here but I wanted to prove Unilocal wrong. I, myself was wrong.

This is the worst experience I had and I don’t think I can can come across such kind of food in my life ever. I was served dhum biryani which was directly from the FREEZER then I called the server and questioned him about this. He told that my job was only serving food to the customers whichever he was given by the cook or management .Then I asked him to call his manager or whoever was in charge and then he gave me an answer which made me feel like as I just arrived from some other planet who doesn’t have any idea about southindian food which was ’ we prepare food in the morning and store that in freezer all the day and when it is required we take it out, serve it’
Never going to come again or recommend to any friend
Thank god I am still alive even after eating their food and listening to the lies they said

I wish I could give negative reviews, if you want to waste your money and get sick. this would be the best place… everything «looks» fresh… but doesn’t «taste» fresh…
If you want salt water, eat Sambar…
If you want sweet, eat kadai chicken…
They give you fresh tap water in glasses that smell worst…
They are experts decorating the dirty food so specially… for that you must seriously give them 5 stars…
By the way the best dish here is fresh cut fruits…

We have been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a long time. This one almost ticks all the boxes. happy with the meal, portion sizes were perfect, taste was awesome. Good Indian restaurants are few and far between. Too many of them use the same sauce base and just change the flavor of the meat. This place uses the right sauce for the meal.

We had a very bad day coz of their service, my friend just walked into the restaurant to have his lunch he invited us there to join him I just had a glance with the food, the food was almost empty and not hot! In addition, the manager Srikanth is inefficient and irresponsible he doesn’t know how to respect the customers! I recommend to go for another restaurant.

The Biryani is billion trillion times better than biryani bowl. For years I was biryani less. Best chicken biryani in fremont. And more than for giving u satisfaction from reading this I’m getting satisfaction for venting about the horrible spicy biryani from «biryani bowl»

That was my first time to come this restaurant. I ordered bharwan chandi kofta from vegetarian entrees. It was scrumptious. However, I didn’t know why I am the only customer in the restaurant. Since I entered the restaurant until I left, there are only two people came in. I was wondering if this restaurant always have a few people come in on weekdays night, how the boss run the business?

Well, this is just another update from past bad experience. My friend told me that they improved their food and so I went there again too see the change. And there’s the old man again. He speaks «hello, how are you?». Do try to strike conversation after that. He’s stupid enough to forget that he is America but not in India. With his fowl smell from mouth, he’s makes no sense when he talk. In fact you will stunned to see him talking shit and embarrass you for no reason.
You will have lot of restaurants that provide way better service and food than this place. TRY OTHER RESTAURANTS.

The food was very bad. I consider myself a respectful customer; however, the Naan was harder than I’ve ever seen. This restaurant was a ghost town on an evening around dinner time.
I truly hope this review helps management realize it has potential to improve its food quality.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have better reviews. It is a clean, cute little place with a moderately stocked bar. We didn’t dine in. Instead we had take out. But I have to say that was the best butter chicken I have ever had. The naan was just naan, but it was good. The saag was good but oily. The chicken had bone-​in, but I would give the saag 4 out of 5.
I will definitely try this place again. Perhaps it is under new ownership or something based on these previous reviews.

Sick Management!
Food is decent for the price here but the service is poor, especially the manager (Srikanth) has no morals, no common sense and no basic knowledge of treating customers. He behaves like a villager and I wonder if he could at least speak basic English. I couldn’t digest the food I ate there by the way he behaved ! This place is walk-​able distance from my house and college but I’m never gonna visit again.

First of all, I went to the lunch buffet. There were many pros and cons about this restaurant. However the cons outweigh the pros. The food was delicious (naan bread, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, and fish Amritsari) and the restaurant looks like it has been updated. As for the cons. We kept finding food particles and hair in the water whenever they refilled our glass, much of the food had ran out and wasn’t being refilled, and the service was lackluster.
To sum up my visit to this restaurant, the food was good but the dining experience was awful.

I love this place and how they organize their buffet and dinner areas! Whoever did their interior design is amazing and has a good eye for detail and class!
Moreover, I went here twice for the lunch buffet during my breaks because they are vegetarian friendly and the food is delicious! Yesterday, I brought my co-​workers during our dinner break and they did not disappoint! Their Vegetable Samosas as appetizers along with the addictive green-​mint sauce and the other sweet and sour sauce really impressed my co-​workers! Overall, my pick to go here was a total win! I will definitely come here again with more people!

After a 4 mile run in the neighborhood, we decided it was time to get our Indian buffet on! So we walked to Arka knowing this was a new place and had a lunch buffet. For $ 11.95 you get a pretty good spread of food from meats to veg options. They serve the naan fresh to you so it’s nice and warm and chewy.
The chutneys were great. I always place it on my rice. The rices were good. The fish dishes were delectable. All of the plates were good in terms of spicyness. Not too much that you can’t taste the food, but spicy so that you know it’s there. The one downside was the meats. They were all kind of overcooked and dry (even the ones in the curries). The pakora was something different. It was crunchy and the veggies in it were not typical which was a good change.
The wait staff was very attentive. Water was replenished and naan could be refilled (they ask you when you’re low).
Would I go here again? It’s a bit on the pricier side of buffets, but it’s walking distance… so it’s touch and go. I might be back if I’m really craving an indian buffet.
