Great menu with much more than pizza. Sandwiches and salads are great and the appetizer list is huge. Occasional live music adds to the atmosphere. George and his family are great hosts doing a fine job helping to revitalize a historic town that deserves the recognition.

I’ve never had a bad meal at Wolfies! It is nice to see that the little town of Freeport has such a nice restaraunt. It has been a ghost town for such a long time, and one successful business goes a long way. Although, I do think they should add new items to the menu every now and then. I will try to come here as often as I can!

Maybe I was just really hungry after a 10 mile bike ride, but that was some seriously awesome pizza. Like wayyy above average. This was my first meal in Freeport, and it leaves a good taste in your mouth. We had a little bit of trouble finding the place. According to the little maps along the Freeport-Butler bike trail, Wolfies is on 510 high St. Maybe they were once, but now they’re here. They don’t have a Unilocal presence, so Google maps finally led us to the correct address. NOW they have a Unilocal page(you’re welcome guys!), and I think it will be to their benefit. The bike trail gets a fair amount of traffic. No better way to replace all the calories you’ve burned than a visit to Wolfie’s! The prices are very reasonable. We ate in and got an 8 cut pizza and 2 drinks for $ 16. You can hardly even feed two people that cheaply at a fast food restaurant these days. It was not busy at all when we were there and it took about 20 minutes or so to make the pizza. Not too bad! The pizza is really good. The crust is pliable but not too thin or too hard, and it has a good flavor. The cheese is the kind where you’ll get made fun of for having strings of it hanging from your plate to your mouth, but who cares? It’s freaking delicious. But of course it’s all about the sauce. There’s just the right amount and it’s slightly sweet. It’s a nearly perfect pie in my opinion. We also had the ravioli. It’s a small portion, but it’s nice to have it to munch on while you’re waiting for the pizza. It’s filled with pepper jack cheese and is surprisingly a little spicy. And the place is so cool! It’s got brick walls and a comfy leather couch and a drum set and music posters everywhere. It’s a pretty chill place to hang out. Can’t wait to go back again after our next ride!
