This past summer our family has visited Bryan Beach 3 times. Loved it even more each time we visited. The beach is sooo much cleaner than Galveston. We go there with friends and family and love the fact that the car are right there. Once we went with a group of friends with our kids, total of 7 – 10 kids and we LOVED it. I think the key is not to go in the middle of the season. Like this past weekend was perfect. The water was VERY clean and I was shocked that I could actually see my feet in the water. I highly rec. this beach for off season fun.

When my mom and I arrived to this beach we were thinking it was the beach where we were trying to go, but we noticed we were at the wrong beach. It said Bryan Beach and not Quintana Beach. We went in to take a look, and you can clearly tell that no one takes care of this beach. There was seaweed everywhere there is not even that much space to put up a tent or to even park your car, and there was trash every where. It was in very bad shape, and I am never going to come back here again.

Avoid at all costs if you do not like brown water and walls of decaying algae.

I was here on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm. The beach was crowded and noisy. Trucks were blaring music, people were oblivious to their surroundings. One of the portable toilets had been destroyed. People were walking behind the dunes to to answer nature’s call. The annoying ice cream truck was playing silly music. Trucks with blaring music went showing off up and down the beach without concern for pedestrians. Certainly, not a place for a quiet afternoon listening to the ocean. I think Sunday mornings are the best. It is Sunday and we got back this afternoon after taking our dog Bear to the beach. This was the culmination of a wonderful beach weekend for me and a great Sunday morning for my wife and our dog. The beach was less crowded and less noisy. The dog had his fill of sand and surf. Once he was tired, we let him drink, cleaned him up and drove back to Sugar Land. After our late Subway and Jack in the Box lunch stops, we ate and I wrote this update.
