We will be staying here every year when the fish are running. It’s so convenient at a wonderful location. The fishing is awesome and the«penthouse» 3 bedroom suite is amazing too. Thanks!

I reserved this B&B about 5 months ago, back in March. So imagine my excitement when the time finally came for my family and I to pack up from Seattle for a little getaway to spend quality time with family and close friends. When we arrived, there was a sign that states«call _____(this number) to check in,» I attempted to try the number a few times but NOANSWER. Once the caretaker/property manager(Bonnie) finally picked up my fourth phone call, she simply stated«I left the door unlock.» I didn’t think much of her attitude, there was no warm welcome or greetings, just a straight and rude comment, because I’m there to have a good time with my family & friends, I told myself I wasn’t going to let that ruin it for me. My first day at the property was fine, we were fishing & crabbing and she was just sitting right on the dock watching us. The next morning, Bonnie came up to our room and said«it’s best for you guys to leave since you were being loud, and you have more people than agreed upon & you had a party.» My agreement when the B&B was reserved are for three families with two children each family. Bonnie was well aware, because she informed the renters in the room below us that there were going to be a lot of people due to the three families and kid. Bonnie even told me the renters were fine with it. When Bonnie came up to kick us out on Saturday, she denied knowing the FACT of how many people are staying there. Then Bonnie continued to accused us of having more people than agreed upon and was persistent that we had a party the night before, requesting a higher charge due to «parties.» This is disappointing to me due to two factors 1) she was well aware BEFOREHAND of how many people are staying at the B&B when I originally reserved back in March 2) There was absolutely no partying going on, who is going to party with kids in their presence while on a Family getaway. Without any proof to show us we were wrong with her first accusations, she then goes to accuse us of «ruining the coffee table and the carpet.» Mind you, the stain on the carpet was clearly old stain(which the Sheriff even noticed/and noted in is report). As for the coffee table, there was a box on INSTANTNOODLES placed on there, not even a glass of water! Bonnie continued to change her stories to find reasons to kick us out, it’s obvious that there is an underlining reason why she did NOT like us. Her stories kept changing around just to make false accusations to kick us out. IF any of the accusations were true, then I wouldn’t be this upset because then they’re considered FACTS, and I wouldn’t have bothered to allow her to call the Sheriff on us. As a matter of fact, we even ASKED her to contact the Sheriff so we can have it documented and to obtain a case number. Back to Bonnie’s false accusations, and many attempts to kick us out. Bonnie had no respect for my family, calling my children«wild havens,» insinuating we are bad parents letting our kids run around. Which is very untrue, even when the Sheriff came to obtain a statement from us, he stated that they are very well behaved for children their age(1, 3, 5, 10, and 11 year olds). Bonnie even had the audacity of saying she wouldn’t be surprised if we have GUNS because we were of different ethnicity(not white). SERIOUSLY??? Bonnie even said that so loud, the kids in my family actually heard it. The funny thing is the renters downstairs from us were apologetic FOR the way Bonnie was acting. They even said this is NOT the first time this has happened, and coincidentally the other family was of different ethnicity also! The renters downstairs even said they had a party Friday night, so they were pretty sure the noise from«our» party was their fault. They were kind enough to say they will talk to Bonnie about that issue . We eventually had to pack up and leave on Saturday, but my reservation was until Sunday. The Sheriff unfortunately had to do as Bonnie request due to it being her property, but he did not agree with her decision nor believe her accusations. With us leaving early, we were unable to obtain our deposit back due to it being our fault(according to Bonnie). FUNFACT, when we were pulling out, there was another family pulling up. Well, that’s funny and very coincidental there’s an open space for another family as we were leaving. Keep in mind this B&B only had an upstairs and downstairs. All in all, I highly DONOT recommend this place. Maybe if you’re NOT of a different ethnicity, it would be a different story for you. But my family and I will NEVER return to this B&B. And as for the owners of this property, I highly recommend you to hire a new caretaker/property manager. If you keep Bonnie, I’m sure not a lot of people will return due to the disrespect and rudeness from her. Believe me when I tell you I’m not the only one that was encountered this issue, I have heard things from friends but I never believed them until that weekend.

I enjoyed staying here this past summer. I read some of the other reviews and the dog lady just quite frankly sounded a bit nuts so we read the other review and decided to give it a try. Knowing we would not be the recipients of 5 star treatment we found the place to be a nice quiet getaway. There is no store nearby, its on the beach in a small community of homes which I enjoyed. This is my type of bed and breakfast. We have all been to those B&B’s where it feels like you are actually in someones home for the night, its strange right? This was more like a hotel than a BB. Fishing was fun, the beach was clean with a nice view of Admiralty Inlet in the distance. I’d stay here again and I will remember to not bring fake service animals to a place that does not want them on their property.

My husband and I needed a short weekend getaway and decided to check out Whidbey Island. He found Bush Point online and booked it because it was right on the beach. Don’t get discouraged when you arrive, because really, I think this place has seen better days. It looks a bit run down on the outside but it’s not on the inside. We were greeted by the caretaker, Bonnie, and taken to our room. She showed us around and asked if everything looked ok before she ran our credit card. Bonnie was very nice and offered many helpful suggestions when we asked her about restaurants and things to do. I guess I should mention that there is no breakfast here, just bed. Apparently the people who ran the restaurant upstairs retired a few years ago. Our suite didn’t have a kitchen but it did have a full fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster oven and coffee pot. The appliances were kinda old but they worked. There is a shared kitchen in the hallway. We cooked a frozen pizza in the oven. I wouldn’t try to cook a whole meal in there because it’s pretty small. While the décor is a but outdated, everything was clean. The location is a big selling point at this place. It is directly on the water with a nice little stretch of beach. You can even hear the waves crashing on the shore at night. All in all, not a bad spot for a weekend getaway that’s not too far from the city.
