Ok, my awesome jersey neighbors may kill me but we LOVE this pizza. We moved here from the Midwest 3 years ago and we were so excited for the pizza possibilities. We asked everyone! We tried no less than 20 pizza joints. What we found was bland, dry, boring, and genuinely sad cardboard and tomato passed off as my favorite food. Then we accidentally ordered from Pizza Hut. They weren’t busy the first time we tried so they were our default choice. OMG! Crispy, saucy, cheesy and downright delicious. I’m ashamed to say that this is our celebratory meal to welcome every weekend. We have served this pizza to many friends who rave about it, brag about jersey superiority, and then when we say it’s «Pizza Hut» they suddenly look uncomfortable and change the subject. Weak, sad souls. Seriously, it’s pizza, get a set! Well, for all the folks out there who can be confident in their real choices and are strong enough to stand by what they love… we say«all hail the hut».

It’s not your local pizza shop but gosh darn it, it’s the best choice out of the major pizza chains… I am a «food snob» but I sure love The Hut. I am such a sucker for the traditional stuffed crust. Pizza is always good every time I order from the Freehold restaurant. I’ve never really had any problems with service(I only do delivery so I can’t speak for dine-in service) but my last delivery employee was the nicest delivery guy I have ever had. Long live the Hut!!!

At the risk of losing credibility for knowing great pizza, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Pizza Hut pizza is A-OK in my book. I almost want to hold back from calling it «pizza» because this is a product that’s unique to this particular chain restaurant, and should never be compared to the pizza you’d get in a mom and pop slice shop.(Much like a Big Mac is a Big Mac and would never be compared to a cheeseburger.) But since I can’t think of an alternative name, we shall continue calling it pizza. I can remember when I was a young kid in the 70s and 80s, Pizza Hut was a big time destination for a family night out. Can you believe there was once a time when you’d have to wait on long lines that would snake down a hallway and out the door just to get a table at Pizza Hut? It’s true. Eagerly, and with drool coming out of the corners of your mouth, you would sit waiting and waiting for your table to be called. And when that big black pan appeared filled with piping hot, bubbly, cheesy, buttery-crusted deliciousness, it was as if you died and went to pizza heaven. Ahh, those were the days… I’ve been going to this particular location for as long as I can remember. It was a favorite of my parents because they always felt it was clean and staffed by friendly and attentive waiters and waitresses. We returned recently for nostalgia sake — something we do every couple of years. And I’m happy to say it’s still clean and well staffed. But gone are the lines. Gone are the crowds. Gone is the energy and bustle that were once the hallmarks of Pizza Hut in the 70s and 80s. We were pretty much the only people in there on this recent Wednesday night at the height of the dinner hour. It was, frankly, kinda sad. The menu has changed significantly. It’s actually pretty complicated unless you just go for a classic pan pizza, which of course we did. But we also constructed ourselves a stuffed crust pizza, topped with pepperoni, and finished with a salted pretzel crust edge. You can even choose a drizzle sauce over your pizza, such as a honey-Sriracha concoction if that’s your thing. The classic pan pizza was pretty much as I remember it, except with much less tomato sauce. Back in the day, they’d ladle that thick and tangy sauce all over their pies — not anymore. If you have fond memories of eating this kind of pizza as a kid, you can still experience a little bit of that magic here as an adult. You just have to suspend your pizza snobbery long enough to get it down. The stuffed crust pizza was OK. I could have done without the stuffed crust. There’s something about the cheese stuffed in the crust that just seems off. But the rest of the pizza was actually pretty good. The salted pretzel edge was reminiscent of the buttery pretzels you get at Auntie Anne’s.(Because why wouldn’t you want to make an already unhealthy dish even more unhealthy?) And unlike Domino’s, Papa John’s, and Little Caesars, Pizza Hut pizza actually has some decent flavor. (Yeah, go ahead, tie me up and have me drawn and quartered for such blasphemy. I’m just being honest here.) All of this said, life is short — you should be eating good pizza. Pizza Hut is fine in a desperate pinch or if you’re feeling nostalgic, but you simply cannot compare it to any of the truly great pizza joints that exists across New Jersey.

Do yourself a favor and dont order from here if you dont eat meat because I ordered a vegetarian three topping pizza last night and it had a peice of meat in it. I’m so disgusted, I want to cry. All their veggies come frozen anyway, then they cut it at the premise. Good bye forever, pizza hut.

This is the worst pizza hut ever. Their customer service is non existence. We had to wait in the bench for 20 minutes and no one came to greet us or get us seated. After being seated, the waiter took another 20 minutes to show up with a menu. We placed our order and he brought us back an incomplete order. They forgot the of the personal pan pizzas that was ordered. Our group lunch was ruined. To make things worse, they forgot to bring the check numerous times and the to go box for our leftovers. The food was good. Drinks were not refilled upon request.

I honestly hate this pizza chain! The pizza is kind of nasty. But, my husband loves it! So… That’s that!

This is BY far the best pizza hut I have ever been to. The pizza is always well made and the service is also pretty good.

Dirty carpet, dirt tables, dirt ceiling. When you enter it reeks. I was afraid of touching anything. Forget about using the bathroom here. They’ll get an extra star for the friendly waitress.

It’s a Pizza Hut, not Spumoni Gardens! That said, service is fairly slow as it is in every one I’ve ever been to. Average fast food pizza with some other items too. Their pasta, while nothing close to homemade, isn’t as bad as you would expect. They have a salad bar there and they also offer a buffet. I’m not sure if they only have it during lunch hours, but it is the way to go here. You can sit right down and start eating instead of waiting a half hour for them to bring you the same pizza! They offer a few different pizzas, breadsticks, dessert items and pasta.

OK… I’m reviewing Pizza Hut for a reason. The customer service was really great and even though it was not the tidiest place, the server was really nice and attentive and we got a complimentary large pizza because they messed up our order. Very happy about that one. My advice to this place is to keep the staff doing what they are doing but clean up!
