Federici’s is a great place if you’re looking for gourmet pizza and good Italian food. The only down side is that only cash is accepted, so be sure to come prepared(or face the wrath of ATM fees). FOOD: The pizza here is the type of pizza that East coasters miss when they travel to other parts of U.S. I’m a huge fan of pizza with thin crust pizzas and Federici’s does it really well. I’m also a huge fan of the salads on the menu. SERVICE: Service is always very pleasant and wait staff are pretty attentive. ATMOSPHERE: It’s pretty casual, but it’s fancy enough for you to come here for a graduation or birthday dinner! There’s also outdoor seating which is nice for a summer night!

My family has been going here for 20 years and they used to be great. What happened? Literally everything was wrong with our last experience. We were missing placemats and silverware, my soda was flat, the salads were smaller than they used to be and overpriced, the wine was spoiled, the pizza was undercooked and not made nearly as well as it used to be, we didn’t have clean plates when the pizza was set at our table, we asked for a bigger table because everything didn’t fit and they wouldn’t give us one even though they weren’t busy, and not once did a manager appopogize for anything. Sadly, this place has lost its quality and none of us ever want to go back.

The staff is so friendly and the environment is very welcoming. This is by far the best pizza I’ve had in New Jersey. It’s thin crust but very flavorful. Fried raviolis, soups, and pizza is my favorite. They also have great sangria. The house dressing is like crack, great on pizza. Cash only

Worst pizza ever. Dough was tasteless and stale kinda like a stale low salt saltine cracker. Sauce was mediocre at best and cheese was oily. The meatballs on my daughters slice was the best part. Adding garlic powder or parmegiano cheese only made it worse. Can’t really say anything else except that the staff was friendly.

The pizza was good the service was bad. I don’t even remember the waitress name because we didn’t see her after she took our order. The service was so bad we had to ask the bus boy to find someone to fill our drinks. When she finally did we said thank you, and couldn’t even get a your welcome from her. I know kids with better manners. We will not be going back. Hi Mike, I was there on Sunday April 17, 2016 around 2pm. My friend and I sat inside and were not the only ones who noticed the lack of guest service skills. A couple sitting at a table next to us actually spoke out to get the attention of the group of servers just standing by the register.

Good food. But the $$ rating isn’t right at all. More like $$$. Be careful ordering pizza. It’s really easy to say«gimme a large with sausage pepper onion». Which winds up being 9 dollars in toppings and a 23 dollar, 14″ pie! The pie I had, was not topped well at all. A pepper here. A sausage there. So yes. Tasty, but way too expensive.

Hands down myself and my girlfriends favorite pizza. I love the thin crust bar pie and the tomato sauce used is excellent. I personally have never had anything else on the menu because the plain pizza is enough to satisfy me, which is why I order a large plain pie every time we go. In my opinion that goes to show how great their pizza actually is. The staff in the kitchen is very quick and very consistent. The pizza has the same great taste every time. The only downside to this place is that they only take cash. They do have an ATM at the rear entrance however there is a surcharge of I believe $ 2 – 3. Only time I had a bad experience at this place is one night I went with my girlfriend and two of our friends, myself and my friend ordered two beers. The waitress checked both of our identification, mine first. When she asked my friend for his ID, he only had his military ID on him because he forgot his drivers license at home. The waitress was very rude and hostile towards him, asking him numerous times to provide another form of ID that he did not have. After going back and fourth explaining to her that it is a federal identification, the waitress finally gave him his beer by slamming it down on the table. After eating the waitress purposely made us wait approximately half and hour to pay our bill, walking by us numerous times not even making eye contact. Usually we tend to go on a week night around 7−8pm and you are guaranteed a table. They are busiest on weekend evenings especially during the warm weather months. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Personally I live half and hour away and don’t mind making the drive once a month at all.

My family has been going to Federici’s for years but it had been a while since I have been. I had forgotten how good the pizza is. This time I had the Chicken Parm pizza which was excellent and a ceasar salad which was nothing special. The thin crust pizza is a nice change from the usual doughy pizzas and Federici’s is is the best at it. Best day of the week to go is Friday for their pasta fagioli soup.

We came here for the first time last night after we have been hearing rave reviews for years from our friends who live close to downtown Freehold. Firstly, the management and service here is impeccable… so gracious, kind and welcoming. We had a large party of 12 and they sat us in the back in a large dining room. I am very picky about my pizza and this def ranks at the top of LEGIT pizza places in jersey –super crispy, very thin and delicious. Their cheesy garlic bread was also super yummy. We were walking out at about 630 pm on a Sunday and the place was PACKED. Every table was full of families(lots of young kids) enjoying their delish meals… which just confirmed our opinion. This many ppl cannot be wrong! We will be back regularly to enjoy some authentic NY style pizza!

I’ve been going to Feds since I was a kid and the quality has been consistent for the entire time. My core dishes there are: –New England Clam Chowder –House Salad w/creamy Italian dressing –Pizza(plain or sausage) –Special Lasagna. There has never been an issue with service. I’ve been there with small groups and large groups and always had a good time. Their pizza is probably the best in the super thin crust/bar pie category.

Who doesn’t love a great thin crust fresh pizza? The pies are absolutely delicious, with a super thin crispy crust and just the right balance of sauce and cheese. I especially love it with the broccoli. The Cesar salad is okay and I know people go crazy over the house dressing, but it’s a little bit to Mayo/egg-based for my liking. The pizza is great with fresh ingredients and definitely worth the trip. The only thing that prevents it from being five stars is that it is a tad bit expensive– A large pie with two toppings comes out to approximately $ 20+, but the thin crust prevents it from being as filling as say a normal large pizza pie. Also, the place only takes cash, which can get very inconvenient when you’re spending $ 20 per pizza pie especially in this day and age where no one really cares cash. Other than that, always great pizza and very consistent along with great waitstaff, makes this a definite must-try.

Since I’m originally from The Bronx, I can appreciate some good pizza. The thin crust was great and super light, and I love the atmosphere — makes me feel like I was a kid in the BX again. Looking forward to stopping by next time Im down there!

Had party there today. 28 people. Great pizza red and white. Thin crust and delicious. Penne ala vodka. Meatballs. Chicken parm all excellent. Sausage and peppers were good but too much. Only had issue with owner who did not want anyone taking leftovers. That was not the best move but we got our to go trays. Food was great. All waitresses were excellent. Thanks Reply: loved the chicken parm the best. Penne ala vodka was awesome. The only thing left over was the sausage. Thanks

This is classic Central Jersey-an elusive spot that no one but local Central Jersians themselves can correctly describe. It is red sauce Italian, thin crust pizza, warm smiles, Bruce Springsteen and the Jersey Shore rolled into one. Enter Federici’s any day of the week and be lulled in by the smell of pizza oven goodness. This is a place that brings me full circle. My most recent visit reignited my fire for this tasty spot. On our way home from a Jets-Giants preseason football game(can this review get any more Jersey?), we found out that, sadly, there were very very few places that would be open and serving pizza to go at 10pm(!!). Correct me if I’m wrong, but anywhere selling pizza to go should be open until at least 11pm. I would say later than that but we are in suburban Central Jersey, and as a current Philadelphian, I can’t expect everywhere to deliver until 2am or later. In to pick up the pizza I went, just before they closed at 10:30pm on a Sunday. I was not told to hurry up because they are closing, and my pizza was just as wonderfully perfect as it always is. Thin crispy crust with small burnt edges and topped with hot gooey cheese and just slightly sweet red sauce. Toppings and all, this pizza is the shit. And upon entering the restaurant, I am taken back to many a memory of eating in, from going on over 15 years ago, including a first date where neither of us had cash(they still don’t take credit cards), plenty of house wine, vodka sauce, and frozen mud pie. I have never seen the boss himself here, but I am not surprised that he will keep coming back.

So. Much. Yum. I’ve been wanting to try Fed’s for a while but every time I’m in downtown Freehold it’s super packed out. We were grabbing a pretty early dinner and when we walked by a few open tables on the outdoor patio our fate was sealed. When I come back for a second visit, I’ll definitely try one of their more classic sounding Italian entrees because everything sounded delish… especially the penne vodka. Because it was our first visit, pizza was the one and only option. Four of us went with a large pie and two apps. The caesar salad was just okay. It was kind of small, usually at Italian places you get a much larger plate of salad. But wutevs, it was fine. We also went with fried ravioli. I never usually order that, but for some reason it stuck out to me. Really glad that I ordered it. That portion was much larger and it came with like 8 – 10 raviolis. The creamy ricotta complimented the fried dough perfectly, and the tomato sauce on top was some of the best sauce that I’ve had. After deliberating over the countless pizza options for what seemed like forever, we finally settled on a veggie pizza with mushrooms and peppers. The pizza was unreal. Thin crunchy crust, bubbling sauce and cheese and a hearty portion of toppings. No skimping here. We were all super satisfied. Two slices each plus the apps was definitely the ideal amount of food for four people. The pizza is pretty thin so it’s not hard to down slice after slice. A bunch of people around us would literally order a pie and then another strait after. We weren’t feeling that much ‘za, but if it was in front of me there’s no doubt I could have polished off more. This is pretty much a Freehold pizza institution, and there’s no better place around for a classic thin crust pie. Order one, load it up with toppings and grab a few cold beers to wash it down. You definitely won’t have any regrets.

WOW! I haven’t had great pizza in a while. FIRST, I want to start by saying I felt like a regular even though it was my first time there. The staff are all so nice and joke around as if you’ve been a customer for a while. Food: We started with their salad with the house dressing. The dressing is amazingggg! Then we kept the dressing for our thin crust pizza(basically they only reason we got the salad in the first place). We got mushroom on one pizza and meatballs on the other pizza. Both were FANTASTIC — and were great to eat cold later. This is definitely a place I would go back to. Service: Suzanne was our waitress and she was so great! Quick service and very personable and entertaining. Bathrooms: There is one in the front and another in the back. Although dated(the one in the front), it is relatively clean and there was no line. Parking: there is a large parking lot — I would imagine it would get filled at night time, but was pretty empty when we went for lunch.
