Lucky Lanes

A nice bowling alley with plenty of lanes. There is also a bar area, snack area, and little arcade. The prices to bowl are cheap and the place is clean. This is a nice place to spend a few hours and have some fun.

this place brought back some great memories and the pizza wasnt to bad either for a bowling alley. The service is friendly and they treat you like a person which is a huge plus in todays world.

All those years ago — coaching and being in an adult league came rushing back when I first walked into Lucky Lanes! Something was missing though and it took me awhile to figure it out — it wasn’t just the beers on the tables — it was the lack of smog — smoke! How amazingly nice is was to be able to go bowling with my son and grandson and not have to cough up a lung or go home smelling like an ashtray!
The bumper guards they use now are also much different — though we never coached with them in the past — they sure do help built the little one’s confidence levels up, which I think just might be a good thing. However, going when there is a lineup of 9 birthday parties didn’t leave me wanting to stay for hours — those days are gone!
The game room also has some new additions and I noticed the price to play those games had increased as well. Still not 100% sure why we need games for kids at a bowling alley, but I assume to take care of the wait — though we didn’t have to wait at all to get a lane!
Now for the «no change» things — same olé shoes — mine were so badly worn that I rolled my ankle — ok maybe it wasn’t the shoes and maybe it was my age, but I swear the shoes are the same ones I use to use! Also — the alley balls — still either purchased specifically for alley use or leftovers and trade ins — you just never can find one that fits correctly — if only I remembered what I did with mine!
Oops — the pizza seemed better too — forgot to mention that — though it might have more to do with it not being covered in a layer of smoke — so not 100% sure on that note!
Overall — it’s now a really great place to bring the kids on a weekend — not real expensive either and they get to do pretty much whatever they want. I could also see it being a great thing to do with a group of people, but I wouldn’t ever think of this place as a romantic getaway!
Everything was in working order — for almost our entire time — but a little glitch and a few moments later and we were back to bowling — all I’m going to say is both games I went over 100 and each game I did better at!
