My second dining experience en route from MA — SC and back. Outside of restaurant not much to look at — located in a strip mall with a grocery store (Food Lion).
But inside is freshly painted with crisp, white linens at each table. Extensive Italian menu. The Veal Vita Felice is divine! Service excellent.
Bookmarked for future visits when in area.

Great dining experience. Hubby and I were looking for somewhere different for date night and chose this spot based on the reviews. Nice atmosphere, great staff, and the food was great as well. We’ll definitely be back!

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. After reading several positive reviews, I placed a take-out order for two dishes at approx. $ 15 each, as well as their pasta fagioli (which was actually just chicken noodle soup with bacon and beans in it).
I have a food allergy, which was stressed several times when I placed our order. When we got home, however, we discovered that my entire dish was covered in the exact ingredient I had asked them to exclude. When I called the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager, I was left on hold for 10 minutes. When I called back again, the man who answered said that the manager was not available and then hung up. That was the last we heard from them.

Not the best place I’ve been to.
Night started out with us being put into a separate room with our child. At first this seemed great, but we just ended up getting a lower level of service. The waiter was slow to come to take our order, we were never asked if we wanted drinks (just given water), and our food was slow to come out.
Another group of adults was sat next to us, and they were given the full treatment. They got drinks, extra orders of bread, fast service, etc. They didn’t have to ask.
By the time we received our food it was already cooling down, to the point that it was luke-warm. It was not appetizing.
We went to the restaurant based on other Unilocal reviews, but we will not be going back again.

Excellent, the spaghetti was spot on. With many trips to Italy, my Italian pallet is pretty good, this compares well with those in Naples or Rome.

We have visited Vita Felice many times before and enjoyed the service and food. In these times we are happy they are still open. Stopped in for lunch the other day. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. All the lights were off. There was a small child running around the restaurant with a cell phone playing music. Food was scattered on the carpet in different locations. When our order came out the child jumped up onto our seat. It was a little odd needless to say. The food was good… but really!

Fantastic food and service All food is happily prepared to your specification…
My husband had clams casino appetizer, it was petit and delicious, followed by Veal Parmesan, he cleaned his plate!
My girlfriend had the Grilled Salmon, which was a large portion grilled just right, moist and not over cooked, she asked for a side of angel hair instead instead veggies, no problem and no extra cost! She raved about it.
I had the Chicken with mushroom/oregano cream sauce, and pasta, I was a little hesitant at first, I worried that it might be overwhelmed with oregano and heavy cream… Wow, was I ever so pleased, the sauce was very light and not overwhelmed with garlic or oregano, the chicken was tender and the mushrooms just right size and texture. with. homemade crusty bread… nice wines AND crisp white linens…
Gilberto’s infectious smile, with his helpful and happy attitude is, ‘the icing on the cake”, and makes this a 5 star restaurant in my opinion.
(no marks off for the strip –store location. all else makes up for it)

Found this place by accident and so glad we did. Don’t let the location in a strip mall throw you off. This is a gem in Fredericksburg, VA
I had the eggplant parmigiana and my wife had the cannelloni. Both were wonderful and obviously homemade. With some places you get eggplant that is overcooked. This was tender and covered in a homemade marinara sauce that was velvety and flavorful. Add wine served by the ½ carafe and it was a wonderful dinner.
Would highly recommend and plan on returning to try some of their other unique pasta dishes and pizza.

Fantastic gem that is quite unexpected. My husband ate here several years ago before and recalled how delicious the food was, so we ventured out on date night. So glad we did! Everything was delicious and the server was kind and helpful without being intrusive. Don’t let the strip mall exterior hender your decision to eat here!

As many have mentioned, it’s in a strip mall so its not much to look at inside and out. Had the angel hair pasta with shrimp, scallops and clams in a garlic wine sauce. It was quite yummy… just needed a little salt. Seafood was a little over cooked but that didn’t stop me from eating it. :-)
Service was very friendly and fast.

Went here for dinner tonight with my husband for the first time. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. My husband started with clams casino and had a pizza for dinner. I had the house salad and chicken piccata and ended with a really tasty dessert! Only bad thing I can say is the service was slow — but I would highly recommend you try this place!!.

Not impressed. I absolutely love Italian food so I was excited to try this place. First, we waited at the door for a good 5 minutes before even being acknowledged and taken to a table despite them not being busy at all. Then we had to wait at least 15 minutes before being asked for our drink order, another 15 to give our food order, and then probably 30 minutes after ordering to actually receive our entrees. There were probably 3 or 4 tables in the whole restaurant so being busy wasn’t an excuse. The food was nothing to write home about, it wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t great. I’d say mediocre at best. At least the pricing was good, but we definitely won’t be coming back.

A Hidden Gem!!! Our neighbors invited us to join them for New Year’s Eve dinner at Vita Felice. It is the second time we have gone with them. The first time (several years ago) was not memorable. However, the food last night was excellent. My husband and I both had the Insalata Al Amore with Salmon. The salad was fresh and the salmon was perfectly cooked. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, which was also delicious. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. The ambiance is nice, but not super romantic. If you are looking for a great meal in a clean, family-run restaurant with friendly service, then this is the place for you. We will be checking our their lunch service soon.

Had lunch here with my wife, twice. As others have said, it’s in a strip mall, so it’s easily missed, but the food is good. My wife loves the salad with the house vinaigrette — I had the muscle pasta (don’t remember the name) and it was very good. Bread is homemade and very good… I think I visited the second time because of the bread!
Anyway, it’s a mom & pop shop and the owner visited the table and chatted with us on both visits. Very pleasant, and the prices are reasonable.

This place is AWESOME!!! They are right, don’t judge the book by the cover! Once inside it’s warm and cozy and the food is as authentic northern Italian as it gets here is da Burg!
We visit often and YOU SHOULD TOO!!!
Four of us had a great lunch for under $ 40!!!
I don’t give 5 star ratings usually, but Vita Felice deserves it.
