bad service, my tattoo looks like a prison tattoo. My tattoo is less than 4 weeks old, the lines are not solid, and it’s already very faded. The tattoo itself is not symmetrical, which I brought up as a concern at the get-go but he told me not to worry. The tattoo is terrible and so was the service. Made an appointment with Sean H for a small tattoo on my forearm(took less than 30 min). He texted me an hour before my appointment and asked if moving it back a half hour was okay-it totally was. When I got to the shop at the new appointment time I was stuck waiting another hour for him to finish up with a walk-in and my tattoo had not even been drawn up yet, so then had to wait additional time. If I would’ve known it wasn’t even drawn up I would’ve seen if the other artist who was not at all busy could’ve done my tattoo. Sean did not seem very apologetic for wasting over an hour of my time. I wouldn’t have been upset if he would’ve just let me know to come in later… What was the point of having an appointment if I had to wait for a walk-in?

So my tat is in the photos above that has a big patch missing. Sirvone did my tat and f***ed it up. I called him and seemed like he was putting the blame on me about my tat. Like I didn’t take care of my tat right. So I went to another shop and they were beyond shocked. Even if I did something wrong in the taking care of it process, they said it still wouldn’t scar up like that. I’m not dissing Ugly Bishops as a whole… I’m just saying Sirvone sucks… get some better artist ASAP.

I am seriously disappointed with the service I got from Eric Badan. Two weeks ago, I asked him for a tattoo dedicated to my wife, saying my one true love, her name, a heart and some flowers over my left chest. He charged me $ 150 for the tattoo, which seemed like a pretty fair price, for the design. Prior to the tattoo, I gave him a $ 100 tip to do the very best work, as this was an extremely important tattoo for me. All my previous tattoos at other places had more developed tones to the colors, whereas his was closer to coloring in a coloring book. I should have told him I would tip him $ 100, if great, not give it to him in advance. My wife immediately pointed out that he forgot to cross the«t» in true love. She also said the odd stems looked weird. I admit I had accepted the design, so my bad on that. I worked out a design with small, simple flowers at the end of the stems, and went back the next day to show Eric. He apologized for forgetting to cross the«t», and said he had been thinking to do the flowers on the stems to begin with, but decided not to. I told him I wanted something to fix it up, and was willing to pay, if it was necessary to fix it with the flowers. He said he would fix the«t» in the tattoo, and was not going to charge me for the flowers either. We scheduled it for 10:30 this morning. I had been debating on a simpler solution to make some interesting leaves instead of small flowers. I drew a design and when I went to Eric this morning, he looked at it, and said that would not work with unless he did them on the bottom too, as it would throw the entire tattoo off. I did not really agree, but told him that was fine. I talked to my wife and she said she thought that would look fine either way. He then looked at the clock, as though he had not planned for much time to work with me, and said«let me draw on you and see how it goes». Not once did he mention he would now expect any payment for any of the changes. He drew two very, very simplistic leaves, adding four lines to the tattoo to make the adjustment. It was lame, but since he was making the change at no charge and my wife said it looked better, I said it was fine, but asked that he put small flowers on the stems with the dots he would not turn into leaves. He said he could not do anything with the other stems, which was nonsense, but I figured my wife is OK with it, so the simple fix would be good enough. Since he was not charging me anything, even though it was not great, it was OK. AFTER he finished, he tells me he doesn’t want to, but has to charge me $ 60 for today’s work. I told him that he had said he would not charge me when I made the appointment two weeks ago, and he said he didn’t recall that, apologized if I was confused, but said I had to pay the $ 60. I paid, left and immediately sent an email to Mr. Bishop. If I had known, I would have demanded something better than the lame fix he put into place, that took him all of 10 minutes to do. If I had know I was paying anything, I would have demanded the design I wanted. Those lousy leaves cost disproportionately more than the rest of the tattoo. Since I had to drive back to have him fix his mistake, I would never have expected him to charge for a few minutes extra work. If he was planning to charge me, he should have quoted me a price up-front, not sneak it in at the end and tell me he didn’t want to charge me, but was required by shop policy to do so. To tell me he has to charge me AFTER doing the work is wrong. I would never have agreed to such a lame change for $ 60 and would have insisted to get a quote to fix it how WE actually wanted it fixed. I chose Ugly Bishop’s for their good rating. Having them treat me as I was treated is completely inappropriate. I was more than willing to pay for the fixes I had requested, but to be told he could not do what I asked for, and then charge me $ 60 for four lines and a little green color without even having the decency to tell me that upfront is criminal. $ 60 is nothing, but to not give me what I asked for and charge me for something any decent place would cover just for the inconvenience the mistake had caused, that angers me a lot.

Do NOT go to this shop & definitely do NOT leave a deposit. I have plenty of clean work & Ive been to over 10 shops easy. I called this shop to schedule an appointment for next day & was told I had to come in to leave a deposit. Granted, I just moved to VA& Ive never had to do that but the shop seemed alright, so I did despite living outside the area & Patricia put me down in their book. I get it. Some shops up here ask for a deposit in the event that an appointment does not show up. Also, the artist I chose, Thom, was free for the following day. Well, next day I called well over an hour before my appointment at 4pm to give the shop a heads up that I was on my way. Becca said okay. I was coming from work about 2 hours away & when I got to the shop, Thom was in the middle of a large piece & told me he could not tattoo me & had no clue that I had an appointment & that Patricia, who took my appointment, was retarded. He was obviously taking a regular ahead of me. Im not an idiot. Despite that, I was real cool about it & explained that I would just take my deposit and go. Thats when they told me there was«no refunds» & before I could even explain my situation to the little girl up front, Sirvone, he started bitching literally, claiming he knew what I was going to say & that I wasn’t going to get my money back. At no point did they apologize & instead, It came real close to me doing something I really wanted to do. However, I decided that I would ask to speak to the owner, Bishop, & respectfully explain the situation over the phone. Instead, Thom called & the owner said he would not speak to me nor refund my $ 50. But Im not a pushover & I was not leaving without my $ 50. I know better. Long story short, I figured out a way to get my money back & did. Go to Graffiti Ink. Exact opposite experience the next day. Highly Recommend.

This is the most horrible place I have been for a tattoo ever! Bishop has really changed to a snob since he got into his own place, he seems like he is to good to do any small tattoos. Bishop was so much more down to earth when he was over off of Princess Anne St, and Block monster. I guess he doesn’t like following other peoples rules. He seems to come in whenever he feels like it at his shop. If I had my own business, I would want to be at my business doing whatever I had to do, that’s what normal business owners do. His«so-called professional» tattoo artist” are un-professional! Looks real nice for customers to come in the door and see them all sitting around on the couch and threw out the place, also it seems like it’s very unorganized, like everyone is walking around dazed and confused, a few of them just want to hurry and get out so they can… and party. Another thing if someone either a doctor, a tattoo artist, I think it’s unprofessional to open a needle without the person being present in the room to show them, the doctor opens the needle, or a phlebotomist(someone who takes blood, in case you don’t know!) I’am a nurse. You can’t trust anyone these days, and a person shouldn’t have to ask that, it should be mandatory to open a clean needle in front of the person, the music is literally blasting, and it’s so unprofessional to be in the middle of a tattoo, and answer a personal cell phone call, and also change the music, and then not change you gloves. I’am going to be making a phone call to the health dept. I don’t see you guys being around long, if you treat your customers the way you do, you may have some fooled, but you don’t have me, and 6 friends of mine. I don’t plan on coming back, your not the only tattoo artist my dude. Tell you peasants to not talk about a customer, when they are standing right near there, and lie. I guess he was stoned that evening. If you have every single person a drug test in there, including yourself, prob would pass. You have a little over two months to draw up some cruddy Halloween tats for specials, they should be way bigger, I’am guessing it’s going to be $ 31 and a $ 7 mandatory tip? Man I hope you don’t make us have to get the stupid 31 # incorporated in the tattoo, That’s would be lame… but Bishop has turned real lame, since he «Has his own business now, he is stuck up, rips people off, he is over priced! Bishop used to be a real down to earth dude, until „He got his own business“ which I think got to his head»! He sure isn’t the same down to earth guy I met years ago…

Thom did an awesome job on my mom and My’s tattoos. It was my first tattoo and um let’s just say my pain tolerance was not as high as I had guessed it to be haha but Thom still did a great solid job on my tattoo despite the fact that I had to have been shaking and moving my foot. The other guy that was there was really rude. Don’t know what his name was but he made me and my mom feel uncomfortable being there and glared at us. I was happy when he left. If you want a really great tattoo(and someone who can deal with you if your a bit of baby like I was haha) then Thom is great. Although looking through everyone’s books they all look like pretty skilled artists.

Love, love, love this place! Awesome people that work here. I had Thom do my tattoo and he did an excellent job. Only guy I’ll be going to for any tattoos. Bishop came in during my session to make sure everything was going alright and he was very pleased with how it turned out as so was I. Great place!
