The Popcorn Bag

I’ve gotten Xmas gifts here the past couple of years and it’s always been a hit. I mean, they have just about any flavor combination you could imagine. Can be pricey, but what’s the point of living if you can’t spend your money on something awesome?
That and the girls working there are freaking adorable. They’re like cute Christmas Elves!

The popcorn here is really good. I don’t think it’s really worth the prices though. They have tons of flavors for everyone though which is pretty cool and you also can sample the popcorn before purchasing. Staff and owner are nice and helpful as well.

The popcorn bag is pretty good. It’s a cute little snack stop. If your wanting a fun snack or popcorn for movie night this is a good idea. They have plenty of different flavors from salty flavors to sweet. My fiancé and I love the White Chocolate Oreo. My mom really likes the dill pickle flavor. The flavors that we tried that are pretty good are as follows: chicken & waffles, crabby (old bay seasoning), white chocolate Oreo, dill pickle, loaded baked potato, & white cheddar just to name a few.

I have been going to this gourmet popcorn shop for the past year and a half, before they moved, and now that they are in their new location I am still a happy customer! My only gripe is that it is a tiny shop! The new place is definitely bigger than their previous location, but it’s still not big enough. Okay one more minor irk, even if they have two or three people working, if there are more than say four customers it’s going to take forever to get your popcorn and leave.
This is not necessarily their fault, the popcorn is so good and they allow you a sample of as many flavors as you’d like, so many take advantage of that! I typically will try whatever their flavor of the month is and if there are any new ones I have not yet tried that seem like they’d suit my fancy, but I limit myself to about three samples.
This most recent visit I waited in my car for the fifteen patrons inside to leave before I went in. I sampled their sausage, biscuits and gravy flavor, which was a bit peppery and a savory delight, and I also tried their summer flavor, S’mores. I’ve not yet come across anything s’mores flavored I haven’t liked, and this popcorn did not disappoint! The s’mores was coated with marshmallow oil and had broken pieces of graham crackers with a milk chocolate drizzle.
I purchased a small bag of that, and also a junior bag of kettle corn because their kettle corn is a salty sweet bag of sunshine!
Their employees are always very friendly and encourage you to try more and more different flavors, it is definitely a must for those traveling in the fredericksburg area! In fact my bff used them for her wedding in 2013 for individual snack sized bags in three flavors for her wedding favors!

I LOVE THE POPCORN BAG! This specialty gourmet popcorn shop, located in Fredericksburg, offers a variety of Savory/​Specialty/​Popcorn Mixes. Flavors include Dill Pickle, Garlic Parmesan, BLT, Wasabi Soy Ranch, Jalapeño Ranch, Apple Pie a la Mode, Cranberries in the Snow, etc. They also have gift options, custom labeling and packaging services, holiday popcorn tins, popcorn bars (have to check those out the next time!), and are always up for fund-​raising opportunities. They pop the kernels fresh daily in the mornings, so you’ll be sure to always get fresh popcorn. Sampling is highly-​encouraged, so don’t be shy in trying out their variety of flavors (they had 55 varieties when I stopped by!)! The Blueberry Cobbler and the Cheddar were interesting, but I was a huge fan of their Sour Watermelon!!! I’m more of a savory type of a person, but that Sour Watermelon — besides its beautiful hot pink glazed color, each popcorn had this thin crunchy candy coating of what tasted like Sour Patch Kids — it was so yummy! I also bought a mix of the Loaded Baked Potato (yes, there are even bacon bits mixed in!) and the Buttery White Cheddar (nice and cheesy). You can choose between 4 sizes (in which they fill GENEROUSLY to the top and do not skimp out!): Snack, Small, Junior, and Family. They always feature new/​seasonal flavors, and I can’t wait until the fall/​winter, where they will have Elf Munch, Peppermint Mocha, and Pumpkin Spice. Marion helped us out and she was sooo sweet — very patient, very thorough, and extremely informative! Check this local gourmet popcorn shop out — the prices are so reasonable, and the popcorn is so delicious! You never know what flavor (s) will await you: D

I absolutely love the popcorn bag! Everything I have tried has been delicious. I am just glad they are not located within walking distance from my home or work otherwise I would be there everyday.

This place is very dangerous! I stopped here because they support an organization my kids belong to, the Christian Youth Theater. I have come back because the popcorn is completely AMAZING! We love the Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel (it is yummy sweet with just the right amount of saltiness) and the Smores popcorn. I dont know how they packed all the marshmallow flavor into the popcorn without marshmallows, but it totally works!
I cant wait to go back… I might have to stop by tonight to get stocked up for the weekend, family movie night tomorrow night!

Fantastic service – samples and suggestions offered with a smile. The popcorn itself is phenomenal and very reasonably priced and the selection is fantastic!
This is a bit of a drive for me, but I’ll be back!
