The Texas Blueberry wine is the Bomb! Denise and Chuck were knowledgeable, encouraging and FUN, FUN, FUN. Denise is an awesome person! Very helpful and patient with us being amateur wine tasters. Definitely the place to go taste wine. One dollar tastings that, if you buy a bottle of that wine, turns out to be complimentary. And for Beer Drinkers, they carry a variety of Beers as well. Also, our dedicated beer drinking friend, fell in love with their Sweet Italian Red by Gelisi Antonio. We will be back!

besides the lady behind the counter being a crab the wines they had were tasty. good size dollar samples here. no hours of operation on Unilocal or even posted at the front door. i even called and no one picked up and the answering machine didnt even gice hours of operation. oh well. at least they had one of my favorite texas wines. the red raspberry mmmmm

I was not impressed with our recent visit this past weekend. We were in town for the afternoon and had a great time walking around the historic Main Street. We saw this little shop and wanted to check it out.
I saw a beautiful cross made out of wine corks and wanted to take a picture to send to my mom. Before I could snap the photo, my hubby pointed out that there was a no photo sign. I turned off my camera on my iPhone, but just as I did the woman behind the counter screamed at me, ‘NO PHOTOS!‘
My hubby and I explained that we had just seen the sign and had not taken a picture. She screamed again, ‘PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY!‘
What? Really? I was so embarrassed and I didn’t even take a photo. I wish she would have approached the situation differently instead of shaming me.
I will not return because of the way I was treated, and many of the other customers followed me out of the store and commented on how rude she was.

Good selection of wines from across Texas, not just Fredericksburg area. Try Texas Vineyards very own Peach Wine. It was surprisingly good. For the wine snobs out there don’t think of it as something you would sip while dining a fine meal, but rather pour over frozen peaches and enjoy while sunbathing on your yacht. ;-)
$ 1 per taste… decent pour.

When we go wine tasting, we prefer to go to Fredericksburg or Gruene, where the wine shops tend to specialize in local wineries. We had an excellent time at Texas Vineyards and Beyond when Thomas took me to Fredericksburg for my birthday. They are great folks, willing to take the extra time to talk to new visitors and educate them about their offerings. They often have tastings with the wine makers, and carry a wide variety of local mead, wine, and other fine products, including some amazing port. I do like good port.
