It’s a drive thru… with that said it was rather impressed with how quickly they took our order and brought the food to the car. All the stalls were full so I was prepared for a wait. Food came out hot and fast, not to mention good. Will stop through if ever in the area again.

I always get the Sonic Cheeseburger or Chicken Fingers. This time I got the Chilli Cheese Hotdog with Onion Rings… SO Good! And although it was a VERY BUSY Saturday afternoon the wait for our food wasn’t long at all! *Great service & food!*

We pulled into the car-​drive and ordering was pretty difficult. The person at the other end could not make out what we were ordering so we had to repeat our order several times before she got it right. It was pretty frustrating…
My boyfriend and I stopped by after a day in Kings Dominion and it happened to be after 8pm so we ordered two milkshakes (Chocolate Covered Banana and Strawberry Cheesecake) since it was ½ price after 8pm. I’m not really a big fan of their food as the amount and price is not proportionate however, I am a big fan of their drinks. One downside is that in the milkshakes they didn’t blend it long enough because there were huge chunks of bananas at the bottom of the drink.

First time at this location. Stopped during my travels. ordered two dogs with sauerkraut, onions and chili and a chocolate shake… thin…so I can drink it through a straw while eating. The buns for the hotdogs were wet and soggy in the center. I had a hard time even holding them. I would guess that either the hot dogs were wet or it was from the sauerkraut. Either way, it wasn’t very appetizing. The chocolate shake came out so thick it was impossible to get it through a straw. I was there 8÷10÷15 @6:45pm.

I’m in the nova area, but FFX county. No sonic close, the closest is Dumfries. I always stop by, when I go to Kings Dominion. The different selection of food and drink is pretty awesome. A lot of stuff I’ve never thought off. I’m a fan of the coneys, and poppers. Their slush selection is HUGE. I tried the one with the nerds in it, the «Game Changer». The chili-​cheese coney was ok, but you get your moneys worth. It reminds me of my childhood as a kid in Texas (they had one in Arlington, TX). Everything there is pretty good, at least everything I tried.
Pros — huge selection, and everything is pretty tasty
Cons — None really, can’t think of any.

This Sonic makes me wish I lived in Fredericksburg. I only get to stop by when going to and from the beach, and every time I visit, it makes me realize I just need a little more Sonic in my life. I have been really impressed by the customer service here. I’ve called about hours and been very impressed by the people who take the food to your car. They are always friendly and happy to help. It makes it a fun experience to come here. Keep doing what you’re doing, Sonic!

Today I was searching for a breakfast spot and almost gave up until I saw sonic. I ordered tater tots and French Toast sticks– it was one of those days. I forgot to ask for no salt on my tots, because I hate salt, but to my present surprise they had only a sprinkle on them! My French today sticks were perfectly crisp on the outside and hot and delicious throughout! The syrup was super runny, which I didn’t love, and it was extra sweet, which I also didn’t love. I was put on hold for about two minutes before I could order and that song with the horrible syrup, are the reasons they only got four stars.

I drove 100 just to come to this sonic and I was not disappointed. This was the second time I have ever had sonic and I’ll tell you the food is pretty addicting. This location served our food very quickly and our server was very helpful and nice. I would come back again if I’m in the area or passing through, its a hike to get here from the DC area especially during rush hour…

Best fast Food place around, but I received the wrong Order and my friend did too. I would suggest To know what you want ahead of time because it gets very confusing Talking over a intercom. And As a TIP I suggest getting the Sonic Drive Thru app because you can get a free Slushy for singing up.

Wish I could give this zero stars never coming here again rather eat a burger from the garbage

This is one of the better sonics I’ve been to. Every order is attended to in a quick amount of time, every meal comes out hot. I’ve never had a bad experience here. It can get a little busy but they can’t help that.

Been there twice for dogs. They definitely have a weird aftertaste. Not going there again.

So if you’re looking for a throwback experience of the old drive ins where servers would bring your food out to you and take your money and pay all in the comfort of your car, then Sonic is for you. Yes it’s a national chain (though Fredricksburg is the closest one too me) but I have a soft spot for them.
My staples are the milkshakes, where I get a different one every time; there are so many options. I also like their tater tots, fries, and burger. I mean it’s American fast food so my bar isn’t set too high, but I prefer Sonic to other fast food chains. Though I feel like the experience I have at Sonic sways my decision. Nothing like eating in your car or on the picnic tables after having food brought to you. Good stretch break after a long drive.
I’ve gone to Sonic (mostly on road trips) both in the morning and at night. I enjoy it any time I go, really. I haven’t yet had a bad experience.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Sonic — whenever I see one, I have to always make a stop and get a Cherry Limeade. If I’m hungry (which I am usually, ²⁴⁄₇), I get their Chili Cheese Tots (because, who doesn’t love tator tots?!). Other items include burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, breakfast items, snacks/​side items, desserts, and beverages (slushes). I particularly am fond of this location as they have both a drive-​in as well as a drive-​thru, which makes it oh-​so-​convenient! I was surprised to see this location, as I thought the nearest Sonic location was in Williamsburg (and, recently, Frederick, MD). Was I shocked when the staff told me that they’ve been here for about 5 – 6 years! I tried the Super Crunch chicken tenders this time and they were awesome, especially as they were right out of the fryer! Don’t forget to take advantage of their ‘Happy Hour’ (½-​priced drinks) or the ‘Morning Drink’ special (99c drinks)! Just a note: make sure that all your items you’ve ordered are in the bag before you leave, as they might forget some condiments, etc.

Once upon a time ago, my friends and I used to drive to this Sonic location to just to indulge in the food and drive back, since this location is the closest to NOVA. Nowadays, Sonic is a mandated stop whenever I head down south I-​95.
I love the concept of ordering while your in your car (you can also go through the drive-​thru if that’s what you prefer). You can also pay there or pay when your food is delivered. In my experiences, the staff has always been friendly and courteous and the food always came out in a timely matter.

Almost-​American dream right here. Sit in your car, have your food delivered to you and eat in the car. It would be perfect if we didn’t need to get out of the car to toss the trash (although, if you were a jerk, you could just toss it out the window).
Anyway, Sonic is awesome.
The price is very affordable. After splitting the price, someone in my car had a meal for $ 3. Awesome.
The tater tots with chili and cheese is epic. Also had a corn dog, which was not bad, but I knew what I was getting myself into. The hot dogs can be ordered with crazy amounts of stuff on top. Someone in my car got the Chicago hot dog, which seemed pretty loaded, but she said the hot dog was only warm (as opposed to hot). There’s something for everyone here.
I was going to give it a 4, but dropped another star for giving my passenger a lukewarm hot dog. Lukewarm rating for a lukewarm hot dog.

I gave it 3 stars even though I hated ALL THREE items I ordered because I love Sonics. I had terrible luck that day. I ordered:
Pretzel Hotdog. Not sure why but the flavors didn’t work. It was a mess.
Sweet Potato Tater Tots. THEY WERE SOGGY!
Diet Cherry Limeade. Man up and get the NON diet! I deserved a crappy drink for ordering something diet at Sonics. Never again.
The employee who brough our food was very helpful. The credit card machine wouldn’t work and he eagerly volunteered to run it to a different machine.
The lesson learned here… Don’t order a diet limeade, ask for your taters to be fried hard, and hot dogs and pretzels should be eaten separately.
I still love sonics!

Good lord I love Sonic, I get so excited to head South on 95 because I know I am gonna be in Sonic territory soon… sadly this Sonic always tends to put a big olé’ rain cloud over my sunshine!
Road trip with the girls… all of us starving, one Sonic virgin in the car, we rolled up to the little red button speaker box — push… nothing. Push again… nothing. Well okay, this is getting us nowhere, so we moved on to another little red magic box.
I was the chosen one. I had the order. I was set. Four different meals, four different sides, four different drinks, ready go. Dun Dun Dunnn. Nothing. After some choice words to the fast food gods, finally the little red button lit up and I we hear a «We’o’m o’ S’n’ ‘ay odr es.» Uh, what!?! Little red button fail number 246.
He couldn’t hear me, we couldn’t hear him, the outside Muzak system was on level DEAFING. You could clearly tell he was getting all sorts of annoyed… but after repeating the order back and forth three times I had faith that we were all on the same page.
The order came out quicker than I expected it to, maybe they just wanted us outta there. Thankfully the order was hot and accurate… but shockingly it totaled $ 40.00? Yes, you read that correctly… I can only imagine what you are thinking about the four fatties at the Sonic, but really, we are talking about (3) chicken sandwiches, (1) burger, (4) sides of tots and (4) drinks. You’re welcome economy.
Its fast food — yes, but I hold Sonic to an unholy level of awesomeness. Probably because we don’t have one in Northern Virginia yet we are teased with the commercials on TV almost daily. — What can I say, we’re deprived?
I find myself thinking this location leaves me a bit disappointed, perhaps because I keep my cherry limeade up on a 10 foot pedestal?

I just happen to visit on National Un-​Turkey Day and I was excited. Half price burgers as far as the eye could see. I foolishly purchased 7 of them and got thru one and half a hot dog lol.
This Sonic was actually very well run. It was efficient, fast, and the staff actually came out in the rain while we were in the drive thru to give us our order so we didn’t have to wait. Whoa!
Everything was made to go… unlike certain other McFast Food places. Fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, hot fries — this is fast food right?
I love the concept of ordering at your car. If you haven’t visited a Sonic before be sure to stop sometime and try one. They’re a nostalgic way of enjoying modern fast food.
