Mi Pueblo

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Placed the to go order, 21 more minutes it arrived warm and delicious. The beans were the best from a restaurant I have ever had. The pico was also yummy! The only downfall and the result of the loss of a star was the salsa for the salsa and chips. It was not good at all. We will certainly be ordering again!!!

Do not be discouraged by the chips and salsa that get delivered to your table, the food gets much better! The chips and salsa do leave something to be desired however. If you happen to stop into Mi Pueblo for a bite, I have one word for you… CARNITAS! The carnitas here are out of this world. Tender, packed with flavor and not overly seasoned. Get them in tacos (ask for corn tortillas) or on a plate smothered in salsa verde. This dish will keep you coming back to this place over and over again.
Bonus points for the friendliness of the owner, Gregorio. Fantastic guy that will be sure to stop by, thank you for coming in, and maybe even have a brief conversation with you. Mi Pueblo is in a tough spot in town and has plenty of competition, but they have been around over 10 years so they must be doing something right… and that something is CARNITAS!

A small family-​run business. They cannot afford to compete with the formerly McDonalds-​financed fast-​burrito giant Chipotle, or even some of the more local or regional Mexican chains like Pancho Villa’s. However, the food is pretty good.
On a recent lunch-​time visit, I arrived about 12:40 PM and left at 1:20. I was the sole customer. Nobody else came in while I was there. Yet, my lunch platter was served promptly, very hot, with some of the best beans and rice I’ve ever eaten outside of my house. The chile relleno was a bit small. However, it was delicious, a true – and fresh – poblano chile pepper, stuffed with salty Mexican cheese, and topped with a fairly good tomato gravy.
I will eat here again.

No flavor what-​so-​ever!

I have to agree with the first poster, and yes, they seriously do deliver. We moved from Fredericksburg to Charlottesville 3 years ago and will seriously make a special trip to Fredericksburg for dinner whenever we visit my parents in northern VA. They have the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of San Diego. I believe it is family owned and everyone here is super nice. The owner seems to work every hour that the restaurant is open since he is there everytime I go.

I order from here at LEAST once a week. The food is good, the leftovers are incomparable. Delivery usually only takes 15 – 20 minutes and is ALWAYS hot and fresh. Besides, Delivered Mexican food!!! BOOYAH!!!
