Meh… its ok. The fried rice is a little dry. The meat in the General Tso’s is a little dark.

So it took them an hour to deliver my order.
My sesame chicken was ok and the sweet and sour chicken was ok too but the egg rolls and crab Rangoon were soggy and not crunchy. Finally the most disgusting thing ever, was our rice we took it out and dumped it on plates and it literally smelled like maggots and garbage and like it was like they scooped right on the garbage

We ordered delivery from them tonight and we will not be ordering from them again. We live downtown and were quoted an hour delivery time. A little long but hey it’s Saturday night. After an hour and twenty minutes I called to see why we hadn’t received our food yet. I was told that the driver had left 20 minutes ago and should be here shortly. It was another 20 minutes before our food arrived. The food came lukewarm. The orange beef was chewy, the breading was nothing but goo, the egg rolls were cold and weren’t even the slightest crunchy anymore. Oh, and the sushi was warm and tasted off. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager. She apologized, but then basically told me that it was my fault the food wasn’t good because we live so far away and that she couldn’t do anything other than give us a 15 dollar credit for next time. Are you kidding me??! I told her that was unacceptable and that we didn’t want the food. I even told her she could have someone pick it up. Why were we paying to heat up «fresh» food? Anyway, she said we lived too far and after an hour and a half the food should still be good. Seriously? We are 10 minutes away. If they can’t deliver a good product to this area then don’t deliver here. Don’t charge me a delivery fee then give me crap food and tell me it’s my fault I ordered from you, but hey lesson learned. WE WONT BE ORDERING AGAIN! Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

If there’s one thing I can’t stand within the restaurant industry, it’s unsanitary practices and uncleanness– which is why I have to drop my initial generous 4-​star review down to a mere 1-​star rating.
The last time I ordered takeaway, I was ¾ through my Egg Drop Soup when I experienced an odd mouth-​feel… which turned out to be a long black hair (I’m blonde)… cooked INTO one of the egg ribbons! Absolutely disgusting and I’ll never order from China Wok again!

If you’re going to get delivery/​takeout Chinese food in the Fredericksburg/​Spotsylvania area, China Wok is your best bet. Maybe I’m biased because it’s the only Chinese place that delivers to our house, but I have found that China Wok’s food is much better than some of your other Chinese joints (cough cough Golden China). It tastes more fresh and flavorful-​plus, they don’t use MSG in their food, which is nice.
We love their General Tso’s Chicken, Crab Ragoon, and Fried Rice. Their sushi is pretty good as well-​not as good as some other sushi-​specific places like Sakura, but I highly recommend their Pacific Roll.
To deliver to our house which is what some consider to be «pretty far out,» it takes about 45 minutes to an hour, which isn’t too bad! All I know is that there is no greater joy than when the delivery man pulls up with our order. They have never gotten our order wrong and the food is always nice and warm when it arrives.
You can also dine in, which we have done a couple of times… but nothing beats ordering in so that you don’t have to change out of your pajamas!

New to the area.
I’ve been here like 4 times.
It’s just gross. I keep thinking ok maybe they can’t make that but what got me Is the miso soup. Even I know how to make better miso. The seaweed was super soft barely any tofu & it was veryyyyyy watered down.
Pork products have the nasty fake sick taste that gross places have. Just gross man lol.
oh & the lady on the phone was pretty rude.

Our delivery order took an hour and a half to get, our food was cold and not that wonderful. The crab ragoons were good but they forgot the sauce for them which lets face it is one of the best parts! We had to call 3 times to see where our food was and each time they couldn’t give us a direct answer. We don’t order out much and now I remember why.

We’re new to the area and a friend suggested this place. I was planning on getting the Orange chicken or the mango chicken bc of the reviews. Talking with the waiter he suggested I get the Crispy Beef bc my husband was ordering the General Tso’s chicken and the Orange chicken is some what similar in taste to General Tso’s. So, I opted in getting the Crispy Beef and it was good. If you like your food sweet and a little spicy I suggest the Crispy Beef. The General Tso’s was good to. The dragon rolls were good and big. The service was great, the waiter was nice. So, far this is the best Chinese food I tasted since I’ve been here. The portion sizes were good and the price was not bad!

Always get Chinese food and sushi from here. Never had a bad experience and the prices aren’t bad at all. Love the shrimp tempura appetizer and the shrimp tempura sushi roll. Fried rice is always very good and fresh. Must if you’re looking for a good spot for Chinese food.

The hot and sour soup was very good. We didn’t enjoy the dumplings and the sweet and sour combo was ok. However, the Orange chicken was very good.

Holy yum! Everything we got was well worth the price and we got tons so yay leftovers! Try the green tea ice cream while you are there it is top notch!

My wife and I were looking for another Chinese restaurant after our previous favorite really declined in quality. After reading the other Unilocal reviews we decided to give the China Wok a try. We were pleasantly surprised that the Unilocal reviews were right on about the quality, selection and price.
We will be back, I think again and again.

I’ve been eating at The China Wok for many years and I’ve always enjoyed my meals. Most of the time I order take out, but when I’ve dined in, the service was fine. They are a little more expensive than some other local Chinese restaurants, but like most things, you get what you pay for.

I really love this place. The food is great, the staff is really great, and at a fair price. What more can you ask for?

Their shrimp pad Thai is awesome! Shrimp was very tasty! Definitely ordering from here from now on!

Update: I’ve ordered several more times. their sushi is awesome. My only issue last time when I reviewed was customer service but since then I have had 0 issues and the sushi is still great. Lately, who I am assuming is the owner or manager has been delivering. Super friendly guy and makes sure I’m satisfied with my order. Definitely going to miss this place when I move :(

Food is really good. Only reason I give 3 stars is because they usually take an hour to deliver. A little long in my opinion for a 15 min drive.

First time customer and not impressed! Ordered 3 entrée and only one was worth eating. The gravy or sauce on the beef and broccoli was terrible, the fried rice had no flavor. Sesame chicken was fairly good, breading was too thick. I don’t think I would ever go back because it’s too expensive to get food that is not good.

A sit down restaurant, better than your average strip mall Chinese takeout.
Twice cooked pork was tasty, vegetables were a tad over cooked.

This place is really good. Some of the recipes diverge from what you may be used to such as the Szechuan shrimp. I was expecting julienned vegetables but instead it came suspended in this chili sauce with onions.
Also some of the fried foods don’t come out so well delivered. Crispy beef comes out if you are within. 10 min of delivery but the crispy shrimp definitely does not. It was mixed up with the broccoli so it steamed the entire way on the delivery. Instead of crisply shrimp and jalapeños it was mushy shrimp and jalapeños.
I give 4 stars because one of the drivers was really rude when he came. It was like I was wasting his time. Then I called back and said I never wanted this driver ever again and he ended up delivering the very next time! This time he had his iphone credit card thing and asked how much tip I wanted to give him before he swiped the card, little bit awkward to say the least.
Turns out this worker is a friend of the owners. If he only knew he’s bringing the business down. When you dine in, he sometimes tries to serve you when there are no deliveries but it’s clear he’s not an experienced server. Really stands out too because the only one there who’s not chinese! Should not mix friendship and business.
Anyway, I literally eat there almost every other day just because of the food and nothing else. Fix the service issues and you could get 5 stars easily. If it weren’t for the food it would easily be 1 star because of this one guy.
