My 4 year old daughter got yelled at by the male store owner for holding a stuffed animal that she wanted. My husband was kneeling down looking at something else in one of the neighboring aisles, while I was waiting in line. Instead of addressing the parents, he decided to yell at a 4 yr old girl which only made her cry. That ruined our whole family vacation so we decided to cut our vacation short & go back home because my daughter was so upset! Ended up not buying anything after that happened. Horrible experience & writing this review to deter other people from having this type of experience!

This place was exactly what I’d hoped it would be — charming atmosphere, delightful staff and(most importantly) DELICIOUS pie/cobbler! I’d just finished a late lunch at a local café that had run out of ALL their desserts(#fail) and was craving peach pie so I hit Unilocal for a list of options. Bariloche Farms was the top contender but we were cutting it close with time. 30 mins until closing. When we arrived(with 20 mins to spare) they were already closed but we decided to do a Hail Mary call(I really wanted that pie :). Thankfully, it was our lucky day! The owner answered and instructed us to hop on over the fence — she’d re-open to serve us.(Turns out, they had closed a little early that day because she was traveling later that evening). The inside is warm and inviting — in my mind, the perfect place to have a cup of tea/sweet treat with your Mom when you’re taking a break from touring Fredericksburg. We ordered to go but next time I’ll plan in advance to enjoy the quaint atmosphere. As for the goods, we selected one peach and apple cobbler. The owner threw in an additional peach pie for us to try at no charge. Beyond re-opening and her friendly greeting this was a gesture that went above and beyond in my book. That would garner some loyalty even if the goods didn’t happen to deliver but thankfully that wasn’t the case. The pie and cobbler were delicious. Most notably for me was the crust — nothing short of out of this world. The fruit was fresh and overflowing. I actually prefer a more balanced fruit to crust ratio(meaning a bit less fruit) but the peaches and apples were so delicious I didn’t mind in this case. We paired with some vanilla ice cream at home which is always a must. Net — it was exactly what I wanted for dessert. As an additional callout, they have a wide selection of other jams/preserves that we look forward to exploring next time. Overall, if you’re looking for a cute place to stop for some dessert — make it here. You’ll be thrilled you did. Enjoy!

Stopped for ice cream came away with 2 bottles of salsa and a whole berry pie. Have tasting bars around the room so you get what you like. Friendly owners with good service. Wall of awards for baked goods. Worth the stop.

It doesn’t get any cuter, friendly, more southern, or delicious as this! This little bakery is a MUST stop on the way into and/or out of Fredericksburg! My husband and I have been driving into Fredericksburg frequently as of late and this has to be one of my favorite reasons for doing so. The owners are the sweetest couple! The baker is a woman so sweet I dare say she must just dip her finger in the filling to give it that perfect sweetness. The first time we dropped by we came in for some hot peach cobbler… there was none ready at that moment so her husband offered her delicious blackberry cobbler… she promptly popped out of the fairly open kitchen and informed us to «Just hold on a minute, hun! I just popped one out of the oven!» She then cut us the biggest piece and topped it with ice cream… SOGOOD. Lots of cinnamon and crispy crust… so good. We’ve gone in several other times to try different things and always say hello. Her Habanero Peach Pie is unexpectedly amazing. Great peach flavor with a slow-building heat from the habanero. We almost took a pie home. I tried her Berry Berry pie this last visit and oh my god. I’m really not a fan of all the berries in that pie but they way she put them together forced me to lick the plate… They also pickle everything you can think of(Quail eggs for the win!), make an insane amount of jams, bbq sauces, ciders. So so much to offer here! And they have samples throughout this super cute quaintly cluttered little store so you can try something before you just have to buy it :) Additionally, they have espresso to go with the baked goods. It’s not the best, but it’s not bad with a good piece of pie! Make sure to stop by here the next time you’re in the area. They’ll be «berry happy» that you did ^_^

Just saw a sign for homemade ice cream on the side of 290, and decided to stop in. It was the best decision ever. Everything is homemade right in front of you. The peach ice cream was the best we have ever had. The peach cobbler was also really good. The hardest part was deciding what to get. They have such a great selection of sweets. A must stop in Fredericksburg for desserts.

Great selection of jams and pies. We didn’t have any room for pie but it looked delicious. Peach ice cream and lavender ice cream were very delicious with just the right amount of flavor(not too overwhelming).

Delicious deep dish apple pie!(My mother in law described it as the best apple pie she ever had). My husband and I have tried the pecan pie, peach cobbler, and my mom got some preserves. So far it doesn’t matter what we choose to buy is soooo tasty and we have not been let down by this wonderful establishment. Every time we go to the wineries we make it a point to stop by and try some thing new and take dessert for Sunday dinner. Go ahead try it if you are around there you will most likely become a fan as well!

This is a place you don’t want to miss! We were visiting the Texas Hill Country wineries and stumbled upon this amazing little gem! We LOVED the cobbler and bought some other items from their jarred food selections. Everything we have tried is outstanding! The owners were so friendly and welcoming that it made our visit really fun! I just loved everything and can’t wait to go back. I will definitely be calling to have items shipped to my house.

Great cobblers. Great preserves. Grilling sauces out of this world. Try the apple chipotle grilling sauce. Expresso is the«real thing». If you like to cook be ready to spend some money since all the sauces, preserves and jellies are great. Thanks.

On our way out of Fredericksburg, we decided to get some gifts and treats for the people we love. Each other. We were ever-so-warmly embraced by the edible smell of jams, things baking, and a whole spread of cheese and jellies to try. About 3 seconds into the tastings, I snatched up a bottle of the mango habanero sauce. The boy targeted the strawberry-peach jam, which we both agreed just barely one-ups the just-peach jam. I also snagged a bottle of all-natural honey. Delicious. I’d peeked Kimberley in the kitchen, getting ready to replace the«I’M INTHEOVEN» signs on the dessert trays with the real deal. Those signs are crazy cute, as was Kimberley’s greeting. The distinguished gentleman who also owns the shop came out to see how we were doing. His accent reminded me of dad’s; it was so endearing. We talked about their farm, the impact of the weather on production, and how it was my birthday the next day. He suddenly disappeared. Moments later, the kind Argentinean(we later learned) returned bearing a gift: homemade peach ice cream, with a fresh blackberry. «Happy birthday!» You can see why it doesn’t get much better. You can also safely note that you must stop by this little shop. Enough sugar and happiness to bring about world peace.

This is a must see in Fredericksburg. The owners, the Smoots, are a lovely couple who give that«personalized touch» with every visitor. I agree with the other reviewers. This is absolutely the best cobbler that you will ever taste. We also had homemade vanilla ice cream and coffee with our cobbler as we tasted the various salsas out for sampling. Need I say, I also left with their Chipotle Lime BBQ and the Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauces — very delicious! This place and its owners are very charming and welcoming!

On our way to drop off junior at sumer camp, Mrs U and I stopped at this lovely little roadside cottage right on 290 in the Hill Country. We were greeted cheerfully by the owners, the gentleman a native Argentinian, who tells me he was former proprietor of a restaurant in town. I am not sure whether sir or madam is in charge of creating the blackberry cobbler, but it is TODIEFOR. Well, hopefully not actually die. Fresh and warm from the oven, so good we took a peach cobbler home with us to try. There is a little table filled with all their home-made jams and jellies, with crackers to sample them ALL. Friendly folks, a must-see in Fredricksburg. Get your fresh blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, jams and jellies here.(Skip the in-town places.)
