This place is okay, I’ve gotten breakfast here a three or four times now and the eggs and sausage are of super low quality… Sysco frozen foods. Also the tables are always taken for what seems to be very EXTENDED amounts of time. A really tall middle aged guy is always lurking around as well, maybe the owner or manager but he’s a lurker alright. I’ve had way better bagels and breakfast environments. Good location and parking, outside seating as well… just wish they took more pride in their breakfast.

A good solid place. Decent fresh sandwiches and their coffee actually tastes like coffee, not hot water or dirt(the dreaded s word). It’s even strong enough to drink iced.

Love this place! Espresso is nutty and mello. No burnt flavored espresso here! Haven’t really tried the food, but if your downtown and want bomb coffee, this is definitely the place to go.

Upon my visit first here, I ordered quite a few menu items to get a good taste of what this coffee shop has to offer. They offer quite the selection of coffees all which tasted great, I had ordered an iced Carmel coffee as well as a hot dark roast. I’m wasn’t quite impressed with the food as I was the coffee. The quality was great in addition to the prices but I don’t know if that would be enough to make me come back. The breakfast sandwich are quite bland. If I were to order breakfast again it would be the French toast which is full of flavor. I think what I don’t like most about the breakfast is how they cook there eggs, they taste and look microwaved. For the lunch menu, I ordered the soup of day which was chicken baja although orange in color the dish was incredible to my surprise. I would definitely order again. As for my sandwich, I got a Reuben, and same feel as the breakfast sandwich a little bland. All in all good food it’s just missing something for me.

I live in walking distance of this establishment but consistently find myself walking to places further away just to avoid the disappointment of the coffee and staff here. If you love crappy coffee and waitstaff that are more interested in their own conversations than your order, this place is for you.

I’ve been here so many times now. Its funny because it’s not just that I like every single thing about the place, but its because I’ve been to so many other places. I know it’s the best. Its a classic Bohemian coffee shop that has music and has lots of local art and posters, the tables, floor and everywhere looks like it started in the 60’s in San Francisco and never changed! I LOVETHAT! People doing homework, rappin’ with their homies, laughing, coding on their computers, or just hanging with each other while the clank clank clink boooosh of dishes and glasses come together. The menu sign is hand-written and is definitely art itself. I haven’t found another place like this anywhere out here. The coffee drinks are out of this world, interestingly named and super-tasty and high-octane. The carrot soup is to die for as are the wraps and sammies. And if you’re here at the right time(not difficult), you’ll catch some tasty tunes to go with your chow. I find any and every excuse to come up here from Gaithersburg on the weekends and do a little work and let my mind unravel and relax. I love it so.

Good coffee, and nice atmosphere! I love that they have outdoor seating. I’ve gotten several lattes, all of which have been very good, and the lemonberry mascarpone cake is delicious!

Love this place. Love the vibe, the food and drinks. The deserts are amazing and the coffee is awesome. They have board games you can play while enjoying your drink.

Having visited Gravel & Grind earlier in the day, I knew it would be difficult for Frederick Coffee Company to compete. I had the coffee drink special — — - the oh lavender and I was not a fan of the drink. It was okay, but definitely not something I would order again. The décor is the traditional type coffee shop and doesn’t have the same hip vibe as Gravel & Grind or the minimalistic design of a Blue Bottle; rather, it reminds me of the coffee shops of the days of yore.

This coffee shop is terrific. Owner, staff, and patrons and ate incredibly friendly. The service is fantastic. They have the traditional options as well as a creative menu. The cinnamon buns are A-mazing!!! This is a great place to work, read, people watch, or catch up with friends.

I come here for the food and drinks, plain and simple. The atmosphere(by that I mean the staff and a lot of the patrons) are so grossly hipster that it’s painful. However, I still enjoy the soups and sandwiches(the roasted red paper and Gouda soup is on point) and the hot drinks are always good(I recommend the French toast latte). It’s just a shame that this place doesn’t feel more welcoming, and instead more ‘wannabe urban hip,’ which is not something I’m into. Which bumps this place down to a 3⁄5. I like the menu, I just have no desire to hang out here. Fortunately there’s a bunch of other stuff right in the vicinity.

Currently, my favorite coffee shop on the East side of Frederick. Friendly employees come out from behind the counter to expedite your order when there is a line. This shop sticks with its mission, but also makes interesting sandwiches and salads. Always a convivial crowd on Weekends. Customers will share tables, so ask. Live entertainment on previous Weekend evening visits. Call ahead to check. Outside tables view the bustling downtown intersection of East and Patrick.

Coffee is only so-so. I believe they roast themselves, and if that’s the case they roast it a bit too dark to the point that you start to just get that«coffee» taste and lose the complexities. This review is for the coffee only.

The Frederick Coffee Company is always a chill place to hangout on a weekend especially following an evening at Lawyers Farm. Highly recommend.

I ate here about 25 times over the past 2 years. I might come back again, and it depends who is working there. Bottom line up front: decent coffee, young baristas, quasi decent food, and great space for sitting and talking amongst friends. I want to rate this place higher, but I will not. My father lives in Frederick and I live in VA, so when I visit him, this is usually the place where I get coffee and a break from his house. My last visit(Aug 23) they screwed up my order by putting the side sausage patty on the bagel, which they gave me another side for free(thank you). I then asked for a cup of ice and lid, which the insufferable male barista said no because they were inventoried. I said ok I will pay for it. He was confused and said he doesnt think I could. He asked the female barista, and she said no. I understand your inventory issue. How about write it down and conduct a manual inventory later. Someone needs training or better training. Previous day(Aug 22) I ordered a large iced and a small iced. The large came out medium and the small came out medium. I guess they split the difference? This was a different staff from the previous day so I can’t square problems on the same team. In previous visits, I received incorrect orders. This is consistent and I continue to come here. Part of me wants to continue coming to support a local business, and they received at least 200 dollars from my wallet. I found a co-op market and I will buy the coffee there from now on.

Tonight was the 1st time I visited FCCo… wow!!! What a wonderful little café!!! I enjoyed their La-La-Lavender latte… espresso, lavender & vanilla. Perfect pairing So light & delicious! There’s a great mix of people… elderly men playing chess, college kids quietly hanging out, regular folk just relaxing reading or on their laptops. I sat on their patio & grooved with the downtown Frederick vibe. Not to be missed!!! My new go-to place for coffee. Sorry Starbucks

Adorable little coffee shop I found passing through on my way to Michigan. We got the Good morning wrap, campfire latte(which was their special for the day). The cheese in the wrap was gooey deliciousness and the scattered raw onions gave it the crunch it needed. The campfire latte tasted freakishly close to a roasted marshmallow on top of chocolate which wasn’t a bad thing because I am obsessed with smores. The lattes are pretty sweet, but the name should give it away. I wanted to try them all, especially the turtle one. The seating area is open with plenty of natural lighting that creates a really bright and cheery atmosphere. If I was closer, I would absolutely love to go and read or hang out there. The people are helpful and open to give suggestions so don’t be timid to ask. The area is really quaint and there are some adorable shops in the area that you can visit while you’re there. I can’t wait to come back and try the other options and explore the area!

Great local hot spot. I love coming here for breakfast/brunch and sitting outside but it’s also a nice place to come to in the evening to relax and listen to music. They have sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts so you can always find something good to eat. Obviously they have coffee and although I’ve had better coffee it’s still good and the atmosphere is worth it. Also it’s one of the few places that are open late in Frederick.

Would definitely be a five review if the coffee was better quality coffee, after all, this place is called The Frederick COFFEE company and café. For the food, everything was great. I had the French toast fork sandwich and it was great. The bread was good and everything inside was fantastic. Everything was cooked right and the syrup I had was the perfect amount and perfect sweetness. My boyfriend got the Ken’s French toast with egg and sausage and he liked it. He said he wished he got what I had but it was still good.(The Ken’s French toast is basically a deconstructed version of my toast) Their lattes are definite must try especially the specials. I had the hazelnut latte and it was delicious. It was definitely better than the coffee. The coffee tastes like water bath. Very much watered down. The after taste was like the smell of dirty water you rinsed out of your dirty unsoaped/unwashed laundry. I am not sure if it is the quality of beans that need improving or if it is the process of extracting all the flavor out of the beans. Whatever it is they have to absolutely work on it to live up to their name.

When I come to downtown Frederick, I make this my first stop before I go to the shops. This place has outdoor seating which is great for people watching or enjoying some sun. Inside, the wall has a music schedule of musicians scheduled to play. Do not be fooled by a line, there will be one, but the wait… hardly. Do not walk out! Their service includes someone taking your drink order while you are in line, go ahead ask questions if you are not sure of what to order, they are extremely helpful. When you get to the cashier, your drink is there! They have monthly and seasonal drinks. This month is the coconut rose latte. The coconut is not over powering nor the rose. I love the creatively, it caught my curiosity. I also had the Red Velvet Biscotti. In the fall anything pumpkin. They have sweets, sandwiches, healthy light fare eats. Absolute gem in downtown Frederick.
