As a follow-​up to my review — I do want to document that the owner did follow-​through on her promise to send a replacement lotion. While the time it took and lack of good communication was not ideal — I do want to update my rating and make note that they did fulfill their promise to correct the issue. The owner sent me a replacement lotion along with a few other nice gift items to make up for the issue and also sent a handwritten note to thoroughly apologize for the delay and for the issue happening in the first place. It sounds like they were understaffed and overwhelmed during the holidays and I do understand this — I am very happy to say the owner did follow-​up and make it right. The owner of this business certainly does have integrity and does care about customer service and for that reason I am updating my review.

I work for a large company who use to get its gift baskets from a big chain. Yet the big chain couldnt recieve personalized cards to add to the baskets so after years of doing multiple shippings we found Frederick Basket Company and will never go back to the big chain. Their prices are reasonable, the staff are amazingly attentive and responsive. Our clients love the gifts. I no longer dread sending gift baskets because I know we’ll get the best here and the process will be smooth.

I love this store! Their huge assortment of goodies makes every season seem special, and the way they arrange them into their beautiful baskets makes every gift memorable. They were the perfect «go-​to» when we needed a thank you gift for a girl scout leader, for a hostess, and to welcome an out-​of-​town guest.

This is really the perfect store if you are someone who hosts a lot of parties. They have a huge assortment of dip mixes, marinades, sauces, and desserts among other things. They also have the other accessories to entertain such as plates, wine holders, and glasses. Oh, and they sell wine here too which is always a plus!
Don’t bother coming here for McCutcheon products since the factory store is just down the road. But they do sell Stonewall Kitchen.

Very nice store to get anything quintessentially Frederick or Maryland-​esq. I stopped in here while visiting family to bring back souvenirs for friends from my old stomping grounds. Plenty of items to choose from and some local wine sold as well! Great place if you need to one stop shop but they do mark up items, it’s a bit pricey. If you know where to get the wines, McCutcheons spreads, etc, you know you can get them cheaper elsewhere. But it’s still a nice store and if your smart you can shop here and not break the bank.

I love to get gift baskets for our clients, and I love to get them at the Frederick Basket Company. The recipients are always impressed and feel that we really went out of our way.
I especially love the way Vicki, or any of the staff, really, will walk around the store with me, listening to me as I describe the particular client, and they’ll help me pick out things to put in my gift basket. That way, the basket is much more personal.
Otherwise, if I’m in a rush, I can just pick from many sample baskets in the store, or on their website.
Everyone in the store is so friendly and helpful, I love the small-​town feel. A great addition to Frederick.
