Renaissance Chef Catering

I would not use any other caterer in Frederick, Maryland. I went to them for assistance for a fundraiser for our non-​profit. I had tasted their fabulous hors d’oeuvres at another event. The owners were gracious, kind, helpful and fell within our budget. The food was just terrific. i just asked them to cater a baby shower and am sad to say that they do only larger events over Summer weekends. In truth, think I will make the food myself; why go to anyone else when you have had the best??? A pleasure to work with!

Renaissance Catering recently catered an event for our local non profit. The food was amazing and I would recommend Jake and Renaissance to anyone looking for good quality catering for their event.

My first exposure to Renaissance Chef Catering was at the Unity Campaign kickoff on JUne 3^rd and the food was outstanding! When I heard that Jake, the owner, had donated all the food for the event to benefit the Unity Campaign, I was doubly impressed. In the future, should I have an event requiring catering, I would certainly put Jake’s business at the top of my list. Thank you for a great experience.

Renaissance Chef just catered our wedding on 11/​29/​2014, and did a great job!
We had heavy hours d’ouvres, including stations and passed food, and Renaissance Chef also provided bartending. I was very happy with the food, and several guests went out of their way to compliment the food and the service to me. They were easy to work with to build and price a menu within our budget range. We got what we wanted and did not feel like we were getting upcharged for every little extra (plates, napkins, sodas, waters, coffee and tea service, etc.). Their staff made sure to bring food back to my wife and I during pictures so we could have some too. Everything was good, but their cream of crab soup, butternut squash soup, and mini crabcakes really stood out to me. Jake was easy to work with, and their staff was very professional and friendly.

I use this company for corporate catering needs. This is the most professional and best quality caterer I have used. The food is wonderful and fresh — never tastes commercial. They have a huge selection as well. Everything is very customizable which is very helpful. Presentation is always professional as well. I would definitely recommend this company for all your catering needs.

We had a deli-​styled box lunch from them yesterday at a women’s conference. It was tasty with well-​filled turkey sandwiches using a thick-​sliced wheat bread. The meal was presented in a nice brown box and included a green apple, bag of chips, and a home-​made sugar cookie alongside the sandwich.

(09÷10−9÷11÷2013) Had 2 days of continental breakfast and lunch for a work meeting. Location only uses Renaissance, we had no choice. Food was delivered in a timely fashion, delivery staff were friendly. Continental breaks was a variety of commercially mass-​produced (like from Sysco) danishes, muffins, bagels, Yoplait yogurt cups, bottled juices, coffee. Luncheon sandwich and wrap platters had a nice variety (different breads and meats) of good quality and generous fillings. Potato and pasta salads were not offensively flavored, not too salty and fresh-​tasting. Dessert selections were as well some mass-​produced products, but sugar sells well with most people. There were a variety of crowd-​pleasing cookies, mini-​cupcakes and petit fours. Might use them again if in the Frederick area, but in general, fairly pedestrian. Reasonably-​priced.
