I am normally very happy with my experience here. I live very close and frequent this restaurant often, this is definitely going to end after my experience today. I went and got salads, soups, and some sides and as usual asked for some extra garlic. When we received the bill we were charge $ 4.00 for EXTRASPECIALORDER. WTF!!! Who charges $ 4.00 for a little bit of garlic? That being said, who just adds $ 4.00 to a bill without first consulting the customer to ask if $ 4.00 for garlic is something they are interested in paying? I then saw I was charged $ 3.00 for bread(which was offered, again with no discussion of extra costs). I have never heard of being charged for bread. SO when the waitress came back to collect the bill I obviously asked about these two charges. She told me «garlic is expensive and her boss would get mad if they didn’t charge us for it» she went on to tell me «it says bread is $ 3.00 on the menu». I am sorry but I have been here more than10 times and have never ONCE been charged for bread, I have also eaten just salads and sides and not been charged for bread. There is no way I would pay $ 3.00 for bread when I am paying over $ 70.00 for a meal. I am sorry but that is beyond outrageous and there lack for respect to inform the customer as well as complete nonchalant behavior with my problem is just ridiculous. I will definitely not be going back and will for sure tell people I know to do the same. Train your staff to inform your customers, I could never imagine not telling my customers little(normally free things) are extra money.

We love the pizza — so much so that we don’t order other entrees. Although more expensive than your chain delivery places, it is worth the extra cost. The crust is thin with a great sauce. We share a mushroom and onion and a bottle of chianti for a great date night dinner.

What a wonderful evening! Our waiter, Sam, was very cordial and informative. From the salads to the recommendations for entrees to decadent dessert my wife and I had a fabulous evening. The Veal Marsala was as good as any I have had in Italy, my wife’s Salmon was cooked to perfection! Hats off to the chef! Wish they had some local wine selections which would have been a nice touch. Thanks again for a great evening

By far our favorite restaurant in the DC area! We’ve been coming here for years, the food is incredibly good and consistent, and the owner Vito and his staff are very kind and friendly! It’s a great family spot!

Met an associate there for lunch before the big blizzard. I was amazed how crowded it was. The linguine with White clam sauce was awesome, bread was fantastic, and my associate had a Bolognese which she absolutely loved! He was amazed at the coffee there

I enjoy the pizza. If you think a pizza should cost $ 10 then this place isn’t for you. What I have a problem with is they do not make their own pasta. That is inexcusible. Any one xan open a box, so why would I pay for someone else to do that. If you claim to be an Italian restuarant, then be an authenic Italian restuarant. In an area that suffers from to many fake Italian restuarants, make your mark by producing authentic hand made Italuan dishes. People will complain because they want their Italian in a can, but they will never be happy unless they get endless breadsticks and boxed pasta.

I would come here for pizza, it’s nlthatcperfect New York style buttery pizza that u have to fold in half to eat they have a good wine selection, however not a fun of their other food. It’s not bad, I would just rather cook the same pasta at home for 5 $ instead of 15 $.

There are some good dishes here. We never dine in anymore, as the experience just isn’t that great. Their pizza is good, but not great; very greasy. The chicken parm, and rockfish are our favorites. Update: we haven’t gone back here since the person took our take out order was extremely rude and told us we placed our order wrong.(Said we ordered one large pizza, when we had ordered 3. One large for 7 adults and a set of twin boys? Give me a break). That was the nail in the coffin for us. We won’t be going back. Lots of other options that are better and less expensive!

Service was excellent. Wish the Veal Marcela equaled the service. The Marcela sauce tasted like a sugary syrup. The veal was fair but the Marcela killed the taste. I’ve enjoyed their pasta dishes in the past which are usually very good, so I was quite disappointed with the Veal Marcela.

Our offices are about to move to the Urbana area, so we scoped the area out today for restaurants. We settled on Mangia e Bevi, and we’re so glad we did. They greeted us warmly and seated the 7 of us quickly. For appetizers, we had garlic bread(so fluffy and warm!), calalmari(perfectly cooked, well seasoned, with a slightly spicy sauce), and the Porcini croquettes. I really loved the croquettes – they gave of an awesome fresh porcini aroma when broken open, and the rice filling was creamy and smooth, almost like a risotto. It was delicious. Everyone on the team ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their entrees. I had the chicken al limone, and it was heavenly. The chicken was thin and moist, and the sauce was a tasty blend of lemon, artichoke and capers. Some places will make al limone so lemony that it’s nearly a parody of itself. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here – the sauce was pretty much perfect. I’ll be eating here again and again once our offices make the move.

I have been here many times and it is acceptable. Tonight was ridiculous. It is Valentine’s Day evening… I called and made a reservation for 8pm… got there right on time with a few minutes to spare. We were seated right away and then proceeded to wait for over 15 minutes and we were never acknowledged. A couple came in after us and were promptly greeted and asked what they would like for starters. Needless to say, we walked out and I probably will never return. They even had my phone number from the reservation and they didn’t even call to inquire why we had left. All I have found in the Villages of Urbana is total, utter disrespect and no customer service whatsoever. I will gladly give all my business to Montgomery County. You are a disgrace!

The only restaurant worth eating at in Urbana. I would highly recommend this place if you like a solid New York style pizza. The pasta dishes and salads are ok, but over priced and nothing that will wow you. I love this spot to go with family and drink wine. They have a great wine selection. I like to order from here while I’m having a spa day at Dna lab(it’s an organic salon next door) and magnolia spa where i enjoy a massage, and facial once a month.

Was excited to come here because I don’t go to many nice Italian restaurants. We had a reservation for a birthday with a party of 7 and were seated on time. The service all around was excellent, our drinks were topped off the whole night and they were very attentive even though it was Friday night and very busy. Now, for the food. We had the Fresh Mozzarella Caprese as an appetizer. While there wasn’t anything wrong with it, it wasn’t anything special. However, the rest of the meal was excellent. The bread they serve you with olive oil, rosemary and Parmesan cheese was so good I could have had that as my meal alone. All of the chicken dishes were excellent. I tried some of the Chicken Saltimboca which was cooked perfectly. I also tried some Fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Carbonara. The Alferdo had a very good sauce that wasn’t too thick. The carbonara was alright, nothing to write home about. Our dining partners also had good things to say about the Linguine with Clams and the Chicken Parmesean. For dessert we had the Tiramasu, Cheesecake, and a Cannoli. The Tiramasu here is like nothing else! The cheesecake was also really good, very much like cheesecake factory. I didn’t get to try the Cannoli but I bet it’s excellent. I had a great meal, and I would go back!

I’ve heard great things about this restaurant and finally had the opportunity to dine there. I arrived shortly after 7 p.m. on a Friday evening. The wait for a table was short, the staff was pleasant, the food came out in short order and was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Need I say more?

I wanted to really like this place because it is close and I love good Italian – but after eating there three times I have decided I will only go back for pizza and dessert – both of which they do very well. I was disappointed with every entrée and appetizer that we ordered(group of 4 – 6 people each time we went and I had a taste of everything that each person ordered – food was bland, bland, bland and veggies always, always over cooked.). The prices are really quite high for their entrees(average 15 – 25 dollars), this made me even more disappointed. All 3 stars I gave are for the pizza which I would give a 4 to 4.5 out of 5 — very good crust, good sauce and good cheese. Reasonably priced as well. And the desserts which were all great. The pumpkin cheesecake was AMAZING!!! Have gone back twice now just for pizza and pumpkin cheesecake :) If I could give 5 stars for only that combo I would do so!

The food was good but the menu is a little uninspired. As a Italian born in Milan, I thought the name was clever and it got my attention. I was hoping for some true Italian dishes that I can’t get elsewhere, like gnocci or a real carbornara. But it was not to be. The atmosphere was good, and so was the service. We had quite a few vegetarians in our group and they all found something the liked. This is a good surprise. I think, because the atmosphere is good and the name is smart I was expecting it to be a more upscale offering, but it is actually a really good pizza and sandwich place. The dishes we had were standard fare(like baked ziti, vegie pannini, etc.) but prepared well. Very flavorful. I’ll definitely be back.
